For some reason, Beck’s music always sounds like a song you think you have listened to a very long while back, but actually never heard of in your life. Why is this?
Another cool thing about Beck & this song is that every verse doesn't rhyme . Every other verse does. This dude has talent shooting out of his eyeballs. These poor kids today are stuck listening to .......... ? I don't even know ,but it sucks .
+Bilal Patel Well... Almost OK Go are still better and this isn't even beck's best music video! music videos for Deadweight and new pollution are better and also Devil's Haircut has awesome one too!
My Dad likes Beck and he used to play this song about 3 years ago and forerver I had the na na na na na na na na stuck in my head. Then this song played on my pandora station and i flipped my shit
"E-Pro" is the opening track on Beck's 2005 album Guero. It was released as the lead single from the album in March 2005. The song was Beck's second number 1 on the Modern Rock chart and his first in eleven years. Beck used the rhythm track of the Beastie Boys' "So What'cha Want" as a sample in "E-Pro". Songwriter(s) Beck Hansen, Mike Simpson, John King, Mike Diamond, Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz.
Beck seriously injured his spine making this video! He was on a wire. He couldn't play his guitar for many years because of this. Can you imagine the pain? He never thought he'd your again after suffering this injury. He said he had to whistle the songs on his album Modern Guilt because it hurt so much to sing. He is a genius. So humble. beyond cool. I've been a fan since Loser. Morning Phase is gorgeous. Thank God he's ok. I have a spinal injury too. He won't speak much about it, but I'm so curious about what he had and if he had surgery- which is really risky.
HiThere Oh, no problem. If you google Beck spinal injury you will find lots of articles. I am so happy he's ok now! Phew. He's so freaking amazing. His talent boggles my mind.
Sue DeSimone this whole 'Guero' disc is awesome....every song...and the Beasties did get credit for co- writing this tune- I had NO idea about the back injury....that's terrible...no hanging from wires for me- probably seemed like a good idea at the time
I listen to loads of Beck and have for decades. He is exceptionally intelligent in his music compositions. He keeps it simple but his diversity and unique sound is what makes listening to a full album so great.
[Verse 1] See me coming to town with my soul Straight down out of the world with my fingers Holding onto the devil I know All my troubles will hang on your trigger Take your eyes and your mind from the road Shoot your mouth if you know where you're aiming Don't forget to pick up what you sow Talking trash to the garbage around you [Chorus] Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na [Verse 2] See me kicking the door with my boots Broke down out in a ditch of old rubbish Snakes and bones in the back of your room Handing out a confection of venom Heaven's drunk from the poison you use Charm the wolves with the eyes of a gambler Now I see it's a comfort to you Hammer my bones on the anvil of daylight [Chorus] Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na [Bridge] I won't give up that ghost It's sick the way these tongues are twisted The good in us is all we know There's too much left to taste that's bitter I won't give up that ghost It's sick the way these tongues are twisted The good in us is all we know There's too much left to taste that's bitter [Chorus] Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na
ETGOHOME Gaming I think he means that Beck's parents were Scientologists so he's a legacy member. But still, he's a forty-something grown-ass man, he should know better than to be in some loony cult.
I love how Beck has transcended every genre and created tons of incredible albums that cannot be categorized, yet created one of the greatest and most recognizable rock riffs of all time.
Beck is an awesome musician and artist!! He's always re-inventing himself and his music. Some thought in the early 90's that he'd be a one-hit wonder...well look at him today.
This song is a true mental programming of happiness (you never forget the "na na, na na na na na"). But the music video is an equally unforgettable work of art!
Beck is pure musical genius. Right after 2:40, the way the guitar comes in hard and the drums fall into the background, just to make sure the riff is cemented in your brain forever.
True story... fuckin' moon is haunted. When I was about 7 years old I went to bed one night staring out the window at the Moon and uh when I rolled over and look next to my bed there was a fuking witch staring back at me. Scared me so bad I passed out of fright.
I love this song, but this music video is hard to watch now. For more detailed look it up, but it almost ended Beck's career because he sustained a spinal injury which required surgery and slowed his musical output. I'm really glad he is alright now, could not do without Beck's music! :)
there's a reason hes so successful his music surpasses labels and genres making him one of the few innovative true musicians left on earth he truly is a master at his trade
0:30 The Nanananananana parts of the song are the ones you'd play in a bad ass movie/tv show/or video game where the good guy is about to shoot a bad guy he beat up but first says a one liner then shoots him with his handgun and then the title flashes in the trailer and then it ends.
I finally found the song I couldn't remember for SEVEN FUCKING YEARS. I even used Shazam and Soundhound and didn't recognize it. You can't give an idea of how happy I am right now
Been listening to Beck since high school. I’m also a huge Destiny fan. It’s great seeing this song getting attention from the Shadowkeep trailer. Eyes up, Guardians.
I didn't even get the chance to play it, by the time I got my first console (a PS2) that game was long gone and I didn't know where to get it used (ebay and online purchases were considered taboo by the time I heard of it. Nowadays, I DEFINATELY want to play it
I grew up listening to this song and many other songs by Beck, and the trailer for Shadowkeep brought me back to it after all these years. I’m glad his music is finding new audiences.
