That first clip honestly makes them look like real teenagers. Like sometimes I genuinely forget that these are _characters._ The acting for this show is incredible.

This is why I admire Beck. His relationship with Jade only strengthens his character and he's not just "the mean girls' boyfriend" person in the cast. He's confident with his masculinity and he stays with her because he loves her.

Beck definitely understands that she's like this from trauma and mental illness and does his best to support her (although they are both very young and can still be extremely toxic), it's really heartwarming that she finally has a person that can calm her down and knows her triggers

@@ChelseatheCreativeFox-pc2xzi agree it was toxic in multiple ways but the show wouldn’t be the same without them and their dynamic. They had their moments but all in all they were a very entertaining and cute couple. I don’t think they could’ve dated anyone else successfully.
Love how he doesn’t try to change her but enjoys watching her until she has an outburst of emotions. Then he intervenes to protect others from Jade, including herself. All the other times he seems to be enjoying the ribbing and remaining an slightly critical observer of situations Jade finds herself in.
They had so much freaking chemistry. I remember re-watching victorious and quite literally I always wanted to find them in the background even when they weren’t speaking or doing anything, they were so freaking cute and genuine. And it was funny when Liz posted that video saying oh like her and Avan literally used to like come up with fake scenarios to argue about or came up with a couple things even when they weren’t on camera.

She wanted someone who could tame her, he wanted someone who never made their time together boring. They weren't necessarily healthy for each other because she always pushed her limits of acceptable behavior, and he usually allowed it. But they fulfilled each other's needs until they could get into the larger world. Beck could find someone a bit high maintenance but not so mean. Jade could find a good therapist until she was ready to stop taking out her home life issues on the people who cared about her.

I thought this was kind of gross and not cute. If you love someone say it dont make them have to earn it in that way. Thats part of the reason Jade acts so batty. Beck lets other girls flirt with him and then makes her work harder to earn the right for him to show her affection

And Beck needs to learn to be less dependant , because whenever he is broken up with Jade, he still depends on her opinion. It's quite sad :/
