Hey, I'm just dropping by to say thank you so much for sharing this!! :) I learned about 100Devs from your video, joined around 2 weeks ago (currently on class 23!) and it has been awesome!! I had been jumping from one platform/resource to another one, but so far 100Devs is just perfect. The class is super fun, the way Leon teaches is easy to understand, the community is awesome, and I've learned A LOT so far. I can't thank you enough for telling us about 100Devs. Leon talks about the most important things to get a job as a swe, that most youtubers or other platforms don't talk about, and it really opened my eyes and make it easier for me to plan out both my study and my future job-hunt process. And the fact that the community is super active, and how Leon would do the daily standup a lot every week is just awesome. I can't believe he would spend so much of his time to help reviewing our resumes/portfolios, answering our questions, giving us tips on networking and stuff, and he's doing all that for FREE. Every time the standup meeting ends, I'm always mindblowned on how someone could be that generous. This is the first time I ever feel so much respect towards someone. Once again, thank you so much for sharing all these useful and valuable informations to us. Just know that if I managed to get a job as a SWE one day, you also play a part in it :) I hope you have an amazing day!! p.s.: I go by username "606" on the discord community. Hi Jess. This is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this. I've developed over the years, and my skills could be better. A hard lesson learned is to never allow dust to settle on your skills. I worked for an organization for 6.5 years, starting off Data Architect-Engineer / Full Stack Developer; after that, transitioned into Data Science (I prefer developing). After that, transitioned into Management = meeting meeting meeting and other stuff and totally stopped coding for like 3 years; excellent compensation, but I allowed my skills to get dusty. I will never let this happen again. Fast forward to now, I was just recently laid off. My point in sharing this is the development skill we learn are so critically vital and open doors to so many opportunities. Needing to shake the dust off I was considering paying $$$$ for a Bootcamp, and I came across your channel. Thank the Heavens above for guiding me to your channel.

Hi Jess! I am participating in 100Devs as well and just finished with class 16. The way Leon teaches is amazing. He makes it so much easier to understand, especially when it comes to JavaScript. I, originally, found out about 100Devs when the second cohort started(I was a week or two behind), but decided not to participate because I was able to enroll in a free tech class at my local community college. However, I do wish I would've participated in Cohort 2 rather than my community college class, just because of Leon's teaching style alone. The one thing I struggle with a ton is the networking/coffee chat portion. I've only been to one networking event since we've gone over networking. I know from the tea spills, a lot of the alumni say they wish they would've networked more and/or struggled with it as well. Being an introvert is a struggle sometimes. LOL. Anyway, I typed all of that to say it's nice to see someone I follow on social media participating in the same BootCamp. I hope you have a great week and thanks for all of the videos and resources you provide!

Hi Jess! Thank you so much for sharing this resource. I am on a very similar path as you, where I am also a self-taught developer, and I was also able to land a job in this field. However, I sometimes feel taken over by imposter syndrome because I am aware of gaps in my knowledge. I still feel I need a mentor or more of a community to turn to, and I have been hoping to grow that network. Your videos have helped me feel like I am not alone in my experiences and given me someone to relate to, but this resource is like a dream come true. I thank you so much for not gatekeeping this information. I am beyond excited to join 100devs and grow my skills and network. I hope you know how helpful you have been on my journey. I'm on class 7 and Leon has explained things to me in such a way that lights are going off in my mind and it's making things so much easier. He resonates with me so much!

Hi Jess! Thanks a lot for your videos and tons of useful info! I’m thinking about changing career path and going to IT/tech by going through a bootcamp or 100devs..etc. The thing I don’t know is the job market situation. Massive layoffs which is a big thing in the media. Also talked to a friend of a friend and she told me that now the situation is: it’s hard to get a job, more candidates than job offers out there, many people she knows can’t find a job for 6 months or longer. But I have opinion of one person only, what do you think on this matter? Also, she said that if you don’t have a green card or citizenship there are no companies to sponsor H1B visas anymore, every company wants only green card holders or citizens. Is that really so? Thank you so much!

#100Devs is a awesome program. I need to get back into it. I was starting strong on when it was live but fell behind due to where I was working at the time. I definitely what to complete the bootcamp, I just been practicing on my CSS positioning cause that's where I'm struggling right now.

Hi girl, I was learning HTML, CSS AND JAVASCRIPT but I kinda stopped because if this AI thing. And I am not exaggerating this, but I am very concerned that even if I learn web development, there's a pretty good chance that 80% of web developers will be replaced by AI in just 5 years or so. I am concerned because of how effortless AI can spit out codes. Yes, I think that the work that would require 10 will now require 2-3 people. Because of this, I really think AI will replace a loooooot of people. Please are tot concerned with AI?
