I don't wanna be a pvp master, I just want to stop getting cracked out of their mind opponents who seemingly haven't stopped playing the game since they got it
@@RealCardmaster I'm sure it is working, I just imagine there's not enough interest in the game mode, so the people that ONLY pvp constantly get matched with people who wanna give the mode a shot and then say fuck that after getting dominated. I really don't feel like pvp is this games strong suit, I never have since day 1.
Well I think casual people don’t find interest in it because 1 they got other things to do 2 possible other interests and most likely 3 not many good rewards but the curses
on the opening you wanna turn right since the first crack on the mast is always on the right, that way you can fix it without getting one balled. once you got them standing still and started your ds you don't wanna blunder them too much, because there ship will move and the ds will break. go for one balls or just shooting down the mast again instead. [EDIT]: if you do use blunders then use them while you are in there back, that way they back splashed while bucketing [EDIT]: if you are at the helm you wanna have your sniper out and get some shot in every once in a while, that way they have to go eat or die and you have some extra time not getting shot at only board after one of them died, that way you are sue to get it done and it's not a troll. also let your helm do it cz the person at the cannon is already dialed in. only harpoon if you ain't hurting but they are, the play you showed was the perfect example how wrong it could have gone if you back splashed there. poon plays are good to give your cannoneer angle or to get them off (but only if your ship is reped) other then that, pretty good video a few more extras: if they are hitting and you are not, use there smoke line to adjust your shots get your priority list straight, aka know when to do what play smart not hard and always keep in mind - there are ppl that are better then you and you will get shit on solosloop#1
There is so much truth to your last statement. Literally been getting 10 streaks all the time even against ghosts and skeletons. even an alliance or two. Fun fights but they all got bopped. This past week has been rough. Don’t know if it’s luck or sea of features or cheats but I leveled up one time and not even from wins 🫤. A few tactic changes and tweaks and we’ll be back to wins but it’s tough when you can’t grab cannon to practice shots lol.
@@Zarrkas if they hit you, you can use the smoke line from there cannons to adjust yours. usually you need the tip of your cannon a bit below the highest point of their cannon smoke.
Small tip for anyone having a problem with their pvp loadout. Find whatever you’re good at using. Personally for ship combat I’m good with Sword/Blunderbuss cause of the tight quarters. And also, pay attention to whatever tactic your enemy is using. If they keep killing you at range, get up close and personal. If they’re killing you up close, try to keep good distance. And either snipe them or blunderbomb them. These tips are prolly pretty obvious but believe me, I only recently realized them both and I’ve got 1,200 hours on sot. Happy Sailing.
This actually helped so much. I watched this yesterday and I just got done with pvp. I used tips I learned here and I finally sunk another ship. Thanks for the tips ❤
I had a fight yesterday ill never forget. I had 0 cannonballs wood and almost no food. He had angle on me and i didnt so i harpooned and killed the skele curse pirate. I went in for one last broadside. I balled him and we rammed. So i hopped on his ship and killed him 2 more times and then knocked him off with a blunderbuss. He sank before i could sail him out of bounds.
Yeah this is tough. I mean if you are solo if you apply enough cannon pressure they wont be able to board because they will sink. But you can also stay a mid distance from them as you start a death spiral around them, making it harder for them to commit to boarding you. Using combination of cannons for holes and if it looks like they getting mast up, spam blunders, and even another chain for demasting again. Thats my best advice, hope you win much more :)
Glad it could help ya, thank you for watching. All the best with the fights! Just think about how much better you gonna be at pvp in 60 more levels :) Exciting 😀
really good video cardmaster. i just wanted to add up that doing 1 or 2 order of souls ghost fleet voyages could help with the cursed balls since 2 wraith balls and then canonball spam is a win for sure i did it and it always work. ❤❤
Thats actually a really good idea. I feel like you and many others in the comments have come up with the perfect tips for an intermediate video haha Thank you so much for the kind words and appreciate you sharing the tips
I was the pirate you fought against in minute 1:48 to 2:40 I was with a friend and we had barely been playing for 2 hours and we were learning to play and I remember that when you sunk our ship you told us Gg and I killed your shipmate with Franco We are from the Spanish community, in case you suddenly notice the translator in the text, I hope to see your videos and understand them to learn
i love sea of thieves pvp its one of my favortie things to do in this game but but the problem is the huge growth of hackers i have almost back to back games where there are these guys with no movement or finese but still hit every cannon shot to the mast without missing and do 360 and 1 shot you with blunder
It’s kinda sad to see that I was on the receiving end of destruction. 1:48. I had to do a little looking at the date I got the game and when this video was released, and everything lines up, EVEN THE SAILS!!!! I remember getting curb-stomped and trying to save my sails in a panic. That was my 3rd pvp ever. Edit: I’m not mad about this at all. In fact, this was the last thing I was expecting watching this video and got an absolute kick out of this. I’m thankful I can see how exactly I was clowned on and how I can improve from this! 😊
@@RealCardmaster Yes, I have actually! I’m normally a solo slooper, but have begun to notice that Duo sloopers are having a little less of an easy time sinking me! 😂
Also another tip for grinding season eight is every now and then, do some PVE to get some gold because you need that money to buy supplies and don’t want to have light pockets. So remember, every know and then have a pve session and grind some gold for supplies.
@@user-wr6dj4ib9o yeah but if you are losing a lot it’s good to do this. If your doing good at PvP and getting many wins then yeah your right it’s a good idea to grind hourglass value
@@crazyjgamer4726 if you're not really good at pvp just lower every 2 wins it still gives tons of gold especially now when crate costs 5k instead of 17
We love your channel! If you're a fan of high-seas adventures, you should definitely try the Corsairs Legacy free story demo. It's got that Sea of Thieves vibe you'll enjoy!
@@RealCardmaster Spain doesn't get below 90ish. We're currently at 120 average. On the worst days we get up to 300. We see a lot of clips of people playing at 30, and vainly wish we will get there one day too xDD
im getting nowhere because i have to fight bs lag and sweats no matter what its been 4 months since s8 released and im only 32 on reaper i need a new xbox that can handle the game but im poor
My bases in a mc realm were constantly found by someone named card master. Was this you? Not salty or anything just wondering as I noticed the name similarity
so in the situation someone is harpooned to your back and is getting free shots, how do u counter. got put in the fog and the came at us perpendicular. They harpooned us and were able to get mast down infinite shots. is there even a counter or is that just ggs. might just try to have an explosive barrel and have them harpoon me
Honestly I normally raise mask and turn tight on them to snap the harpoon line and get shots on them. also I havent tried it but maybe hitting the harpoon with a shot or sword will deattach it because it does that when you grab loot
how do i get decent in the first place? how do i practice? there is no learning curve when i just get instantly one shot by a crew of 5 people each of which could easily beat me 1v1!
Next month they are introducing Safer Seas. This will allow you to join a server without any other players. You could join this server, practice your cannon shots and skelly ships, and do fleet events to practice ship maintence
I can't supply my ship via the lady at ship stand. Every time I try to buy I get something went wrong. I still have to grind for supplies that you should be able to buy. Takes awhile to grind supplies, but I guess that's sea of thieves present a feature and then it doesn't work any more. I'm not going to talk about hacking lately. Love this game but about to give it a rest untill they fix issues. I mean its nice you can still buy your supplies quickly.
Yeah this is such a terrible bug, but I think I did manage to find a fix for this. You could give it a go. Here's a link to my short about the fix ru-vid.comqKsolFyOdXg Hope it helps you Leroy!
Thank you so very much. That did it. Wow so much easier to get sailing without fear of getting sunk right away, but im on xbox that's another story lol. That is awesome you had a solution for that. Like the willingness to help. 5 stars man.
how well do these tips transfer to xbox v xbox or pc v xbox? I am a xbox player because my pc doesn't have the ability to play this game.... I found a skele curse guy but he hasn't responded to me so I cant ask him for help yet.
Me qnd mybteam alwaya gets our azz kicked in pvp no matter where 🤕🤕🤕i just really want to get better thia video helps but how do they jump soo much faster then i can ahoot 🤦🤦
Aim for the skellies cannons, once they're off, put holes in em. The only pressure skellies can put on you is with cannons and curseballs so don't give em the chance
wow I now understand why computer players have such an advantage. quick turns easy aim wow. I will never feel bad for losing to a computer player again. Totally unfair.
Does anybody know how long can I get Athena blessing? Do I need to hurry to get level 100 before the end of the season 8 or will I be able to do it also in 9 etc?
I mainly double Gun. But my friend i play with is from US and im from OCE. So sword is better when you are on high ping. But theres nothing wrong with sword even if I did use it
If you want quick gold, start raiding seaforts, they supply loot for each trading company (chests for gold hoards, crates for Merchants, and skulls for Order of Souls). They also always have a mermaid gem in the storage room locked in the top of the seafort. As soon as you can, I highly recommend buying a captain sloop as it will allow you to have access to the Sovereigns who will serve as a singular turn in point for all factions except Hunters Call and Reapers Bones (this includes Athena's Fortune too!). But I will say this though. Don't rush your journey to Pirate Legend. Explore the world and play the quests of the trading companies and get the full experience that Sea of Thieves has to offer. It's about the journey, not the destination.
@@eksdee2170 yes those are fantastic but I think you have to unlock them by ranking up Merchants first. But with the emmisary flag raised they make you some great coin!
Personally I would do sea forts for some gold if you are very new. But I would 100% do Lost shipment voyages if you have atleast 25 in merchant alliance. I made a video about making around 100K gold an hour doing those voyages if you intrested :)
Are you better at up close gun combat? because if you are you can try boarding and winning that way. Even i come across absolute sweats on the canons but alot of them cant fight up close very well
@@RealCardmaster I use the sword and most of time I'm killed by double gun I refuse to double gun and recently I've been struggling to find matches because my matchmaking preferences are xbox and controller only
@@captainbat37 Yeah there are some people who are psychotic with double gunning. I faced a guy who was totally accurate with their sniper rifle, so I put some holes in their ship and when I saw the glint of their scope, I used it to focus in on him with the harpoon. He bested me up close too but he couldn't do anything to keep his ship afloat either, so I ended up winning.
I want to be one of those pirates who don’t attack anyone, but obliterate anyone who attacks them. I also want to be one of those who messes around with their mates but also can destroy people easily.
I hate pvping cause my ping isn’t ever good enough to play on. I love pvp otherwise and feel like I’d excel in hourglass if it weren’t for the fact that my ping just never goes low
Read: ...have a teammate that's good. Bro... I can occasionally get my non-gamer daughter who can't get a shot to land. Literally better off with that guy with no mic that tried to tuck my ship only to start patching holes in my hull when I came under attack. I need a competent teammate or 3
I know its tough with the PVP mode. But if you just keep fighting and losing each time slightly improving, you will become soo good at this game in time. You can do it Zack!
Im sure you are better then you giving yourself credit for. If you have the mental fortitude for it just keep fighting others! You will get much better at the game
Sounds easy really not though..I cam a make in 2 mins to show you how to become an experienced security officer. First look for a scruffy theif then watch then conceal stop at exit.. boom you are now an experienced security officer good luck.
If youre gonna harpoon someone you want to click to shoot the harpoon and at the same time press e/(X)/interact button is to get off the harpoon and hold S or your walk backward button just enough that when they appear youre standing behind them for the 1 tap. This will win you solo and duo matches if neither ship has a mast.
does anyone have tips on steering the wheel solo? I keep on steering the wheel to much or not enough. Also, with my cannons are always just to low or just too high, really annoying. If anyone can give me some tips that would be great.
I’m level 225 or so in Athena at this point, with ~3.4k hours played For any wondering, these are my top 3 tips for improving at PvP this season: Lower your sensitivity (if you’re not on controller) It is so much easier to win at hand to hand if you have less shaky aim. Play solo sloop 1v1s. My cannons are terrible, but my general ship management is pretty good otherwise so I can balance keeping angle and bilging pretty well, so I spent the last week or so playing solos and my cannons have improved significantly Have dedicated roles specifying what everyone should be doing BEFORE going into a fight. I cannot count the amount of people, even streamers, that have sunk in under a minute simply because they had no team organization and nobody knew what they should’ve been doing going into the fight I don’t have RU-vid reply notifications on, but if anyone has questions shoot me a reply and maybe I’ll remember to check this in like a week lmao
Any tips on how to use cannons better or more wisely i see alot of videos of people aiming their cannons a bit back or forward of their target i try that but it does not work that well im not sure if im doing anything wrong.
I’m tryna get skeleton curse and that’s it but I can’t cuz people who got the game 6 years ago and never stopped playing and are cracked out of there mind in pvp just don’t help I’m new to sot and rlly need help but just can’t get better cuz I only lose not win anything
I’m really good about boarding and killing the crew but then I just stand there. I try to make holes with fire bombs and guard them but usually get taken down. What should I do? Am I just not making enough canon holes to begin with?
