One of the best videos regarding the reality of working with Security. People unfortunately glamorize working with security a lot, to gain views, money and followers. And because of that, many people fall for this fairy tale, and are frustrated to realize that it's not exactly like that. And in many cases, people blame themselves for not being able to be like their 'mentors'. Congrats on the video brother!

I suffered from burn out from life in general. From raising children, being a single mom, being a small business owner, maintaining a household, going to school full-time, and learning whatever I could, it ain't easy. I just learnt to take things one day at a time, to not rush myself, and to take time away from all your stressors to enjoy yourself. Keep at it. It will get better. Strive for making your life more simplistic. You will thank yourself when you get older.

I really appreciate this video. I currently find myself with the CompTIA trifecta, 3 months on the helpdesk with a drive to break into the security field and the thoughts of how do I find my niche. Alot of people hype up security, make it sound easy to pivot too. Thanks for reminding me I didnt get my certs over night. Took me 7 months and alot of time missed with my family but i enjoyed every step of the way. Was excited and hype after passing each exam. And Im excited to continue the journey, one day at a time

Thanks for the PSA Day. All truths. Keep on it bro. Chip away at the unhealthy habits while building healthy ones like exercise and eating right and spending time with humans. Im a old man now lol, but you are young and on such a good path. You have SO much time ahead of you and have worked hard to set yourself up. Your one of the lucky ones during these trying times. Dont let up, dont settle and grab those dreams. Thanks for all the inspiration you have given me personally through the labs, posts and vids. Hey man, I'm an undergraduate student and I live in a place with pretty much zero opportunities in tech for fresh graduates. I've the opportunity to go abroad (Canada) although the university reputation might not be top quality due to my budget. Would you say that experience and certs along with personal projects will cover that area and does it really matter where u get your degree from for cybersecurity or is it just a means to get past HR ?

It definitely is an HR filter and I’d go id I wasn’t paying for it but if you’re gonna be paying for it yourself, I’d invest other methods of learning.
