Didn't Dan live at Chateau de Lalande for a few months after he split from Annaliese? IIRC that was when everyone commented on the bromance between Dan and Amaury .

@@GenaFyes, he lived there for quite a while, it was revealed later as he wanted to keep his and Anna-Lise's privacy during a tough time. Also he stayed in the "toile de jouy-room" which is 6 different toile de jouy patterns (at least) in bright pinks and it was a bit too over the top for his liking and joked about ever since. I hope he creates a solution for staying put during the weeks at least. But I did love seeing him back at Lalande as part of the crew, SO much fun!

Chateau de Jouillat 14th century belongs to the Chevereaux family since 1945. Coincidentally there is another chateau by the same name for sale in the same region which is also my region about 2.5 hours away.

It is so hard to find someone who doesn’t take offense at your sarcasm and can give it right back. I was told that was why Europeans don’t like Americans because they don’t get our sarcasm but it seems we got it from our English ancestors. You remind me of a sister/brother act. Thames for supporting Dan the way you do. Hoping he doesn’t have to take you up on your kind offer to move back because that means things are not progressing fast enough. He needs something he can winter in like a caravan or camper.

Thanks for sharing Dan's chateau he is such a talented craftsman of many things envy of his abilities to adapt to any issue This 68 year old woman realizing how little time in life we really have would love to learn how to work with wood let's say be able to fix our truck lol still tomboy at this age took our old truck to car show so many people asked who drove it What I did just because I lost my husband doesn't mean I cannot drive the truck my gosh was shocked! Mind you our truck has a 500 hp engine we built it so both of us could drive our 1949 studebaker pick up! She is so pretty now compared to what she looked like when came off the farm ! Now I don't wear high heels at any time let a lone in the truck or climbing a ladder !Brave girl !

We in France cut the bread in big chunks like you did Stéphanie (smaller slices are 'tartines' and they are for breakfast with butter and confiture!), but we often cut the bread at a 45° angle so it is more 'chic' 😆 Also you put it in a 'ravier' which is a little dish for starters (mainly radishes which is the etymology for 'ravier'), so it is a big mistake 😂, bread should be presented in a 'corbeille à pain' (bread basket) either in woven wicker (rustic) or in metal (more elegant) with a cloth or towel beneath the bread for the crumbs. At least if you don't have a bread basket you can use a ravier with a paper towel 😉 Anyway I'm nitpicking, the table was beautiful as always😍

Do not wait till you are sick of any veg, freeze them for the winter or get a dry freezer and store them in bottles, they can be added to stew and soup and lasagne ,things like that
