I was a civilian driver for the army. I drove Bedford MK 4-tonners. and army coaches shuttling soldiers, airmen, Gurka's TA, Belgian soldiers, some navy personnel, and anybody else I was told to pick up. I also carried soldiers in the 4 tonners. I can honestly say I hated the Bedford MK, no power steering, only rear-wheel drive. I was bogged down many times on soft ground or snow.

All I can say about being g stuck, is 'bugger', the same thing happened to me when I was doing ,you army reserve training in 1974.
