This song originally did not have the name Fanny in it but Maurice came up with the idea to put the name in it and the name was the name of the maid that took care of all their needs while they were renting the house in Florida.....when they sang the song to her she broke down in tears because they used her name. She once said that they were the most respectful, kind, loving and funny men she had ever worked for.
The guy in the middle is our precious Robin. This song was never sung live at any of their concerts because it was actually quite impossible to do so. The song was so layered that, in this video, all three were trying to cover as many of the parts as possible from the original recording being used so that's why it seemed like Robin was singing a particular part on one verse and then Maurice looked like he took over singing the same thing in the next verse. All three brothers sang falsetto and it's evident here on this official video using the studio version of the song. Each brother had a wonderful range but I think that Robin had the biggest range of all. He could actually hit notes in the falsetto range without using his falsetto. I believe Maurice was capable of this as well. Three extraordinary men, that's all I've got to say!
No, sorry, the biggest range of all has Barry, HE can hit and reach the highest notes (there are some videos of experts, analysing their notes from the lowest to the highest, and Barry is also #1 on the list of all male falsetto singers), and he can also sing very deep and strong. Robin has the most and best vibrato of them, Barry also has some vibrato but sing mainly with tremolo!
You are so right.....Barry has the highest falsetto range. I know what expert you are speaking about.....I've watch all 4 of his videos from Bsrry , Robin, Maurice and Andy.
@@kudabear4898 There are also some others which lists the exact pitches, octaves.....lowest to highest for various songs by individual artists including Robin and Barry, also lists the vocal ranges of famous singers and again Barry is BEFORE Robin (B has the larger one)!
The one in the middle is “Robin”, they were younger so he does look somewhat different. Andy was the youngest brother that had his own career but was set to join his brothers before his untimely death. Great reaction!
No she was the housekeeper at the rented house the 3 brothers and their band lived in when they 1st went to Miami to record the Main Course album. Not a "family " housekeeper
I love this song. How beautifully their voices blend and their incredible vocal ranges. That was Robin in the middle. Thank you for your great reaction, another great song from this period is NIGHTS ON BROADWAY. ❤❤❤
They are quite young here - maybe that is why Robin in the middle looks different. This song has a lot of vocal tracks that they overlapped - several for each of their voices for that choir sound. All the brothers have incredible range as well! Very nice reaction!❤❤❤
All 3 of them are great singers Mo was singing falsetto this time. Most of the time Mo set back and let Robin and Barry shine. But Mo was just as good of a singer as Robin and Barry. Mo is short for Maurice.
@Zlata1313 I don't know what it refers to, but I've heard Barry use it a few times in interviews. Also, some friends of the family use it. I originally read about it in a Tiger Beat or 16 Magazine back in the 70s.
@@bonnieplasha4684 I've never heard it and probably read those same 70s magazines lol. Woggy was Mo's childhood name, Bodding was Robin's. The twins couldn't pronounce each other's names at 1st as toddlers.
You've probably heard the Bee Gees do many types of music and different sounds. You should hear them sing a cappella on " Children of the World " 1976 They NEVER fail to amaze !
So, all 3 brothers can sing falsetto. Notice in "Staying Alive" and in "Too Much Heaven", everyone is surprised by Barry's voice but all 3 brothers are singing in the upper range. And all 3 sing in the lower ranges. They take turns in most of their songs depending on the musical arrangement. Robin looks different to you because he has all his hair, lol. Robin in the middle was known for his extreme changes in hairstyle as well as color. Barry once commented that Robin had dyed his hair so he could match his dog , an Irish Setter, lol! That was just part of what made Robin an endearing character!
Some of the vocals are just Barry and some are a combination of voices, with Robin having two ahahah’s on his own in Fanny. Please react to their Live 1989 Medley. I think you will LOVE it!! Please react to THE BEE GEES WITH ANDY GIBB YOU SHOULD BE DANCING 1979 LIVE to see one of their rare performances together.
That is Robin in the middle; the young brother would be about 16 at this time. Maurice has the bass guitar and pink shirt, Barry the jacket and pink t-shirt and black/wht guitar.
That was 1975, and Andy started his solo career in 1977. He was 12 years younger than Barry. He was also tremendously successful, and was the only artist to have his first three debut singles hit #1. I’m sure that record has been beaten, probably by someone like Justin Bieber.
I'm in Michigan and we are in the middle of a power outage! It's around midnight and I am very concerned. Praying for the power to return! I hate feeling hopeless. ❤
