When I was in prison for 11 years these guys helped me survive. I used to sit on my bunk under a blanket, listen to this song , cry and go away to another place. I would get so depressed it would take days to come out of it. I have been out a long time now, have a family BUT I never forget the Bee Gees and how they helped me maintain my sanity. I love their music. Thank you all !!!!!!!
@@peltmj Yes, Mo was being funny, as usual! He was teasing Robin by guiding him to the mike and then lifting Robin's hand to his ear, which is why Robin pushed it away and was trying not to laugh at 0:09. That's why the audience laughed. Mo was always trying to crack up his brothers onstage. 😁
Robin graced the world with his voice, and everything else about him; so beautiful, fun, kind and generous.... love him so. I'm thankful I lived in the world when he did. Still love you Robin. Always will. x
Robin’s voice takes me away from everything. A gift to us to listen to. It’s high but masculine, it has strong vibrato; the tone draws me to forget all else and just delight in listening.
I agree Phyllis. There will never be another that could come close to Robins voice. Love Robins unique voice and I love gorgeous Robin too and miss him so much
February 21, 2021 'How can you mend a broken heart' is one of The Bee Gees' Masterpieces. Bee Gees, who sing in harmony, are brilliant singers. Excellent Music 👍👍
So glad I grew up with the Bee Gees. They are and will be in my opinion, the greatest music trio of all time. Perfection for over forty years! No one even comes close. Thank you for all you've given us!
OH my,the youngie Bee Gees. they were so good, and always stayed so good. Their songs and lyrics were always so lovely, music that stays with us forever, They were super special with their song writing, nothing compares with this these days.
Whenever I would hear the first few notes of any of their songs, especially this one, I'd stop what I was doing and just listen... I'm very grateful to have been part of this phenomenal era of music. Robin, Maurice and Barry, you were the best of the best, back then, listening now and forever....
Celestial, God-given voices that go down in history as THE best, a s far as I'm concerned. No one or thing compares. Still obsessed after all these years. The kids of this generation (2020) should learn this is what perfection sounds like.
I miss them so much they never got credit while they were alive they were the most awesome band ever as far as I'm concerned best writing best lyrics best voices
You know, that is one thing that hurts me the most. They worked hard their entire careers( which is most of their lives) constantly having to re invent themselves. They always just came back better! Isn't that crazy when people have compared them to the Beatles!! IMO they were better than any group on the planet. They earned every dime they have and more I would say. I miss Mo and Robin so much though, it's a pain in my soul. Barry will never see this, but just in case- I love you Barry!! Would give a lot to just see you. Be well.
They did receive lots of appreciation and they were ( and still are ) much loved! An army of fans then and still now! They had issues when the riot against disco was in US … which definitely affected them … felt really sad about other artists against them.. like meatloaf etc…but it will never be another BeeGees! The regret I have is that I missed Barry at Glastonbury! Love from me
Barry could have gone solo and he would have done really really well but he chose to stick with his brothers all the way to the end...what a brother and a great person he was...!!!
@@beeharbour Robin's record Saved by the Bell was a hit for him when he went solo. He later thanked Alan Freeman for playing the record when other DJ wouldn't because of their loyalty to the Bee Gee's as a group.
I love that they sang on one microphone together. Those harmonies are sweet. And Robin cupping his ear to hear the harmonies, and that haunting vibrato of hus!
alot or raw emotion and singing skills are thru the roof in that one clip...simply amazing. Midnite Special was great on not letting anyone lip sing their music too, but those guys.....never needed to.
When my daily grind starts to wear and my energy starts to fade and I start feeling numb, I pull up one of their ballads and it wrenches my heart awake and makes me feel again. Thank you, all three of you, for sharing your gift. You make me feel alive again, like I did 50 years ago when this was all new.

What a beautiful song and the harmonizing is second too none. The Bee Gees, one of my All Time Favorite Bands . . . and I'm a hard core Rock N' Roller!
Brilliant! Time when songwriting, authenticity, harmony and talent shone so brightly that today they bedazzle upstarts who rely on lights, loads of dancers on stage and technowizzardy to underscore their minimalist talent.
As the oldest we were always taught to take care of the younger siblings, and I think sometimes they resented that, we only wanted what was best for them, but they never really saw it that way. N9 more worries now RIP
Love this performance, Maurice as usual the joker, Robin's beautiful angelic voice and beautiful smile..the way he looked at Maurice at the very end, true brotherly love. At least they are finally at peace together..
