I think that the early Bee Gees albums are marvelous, they are one of very few bands who had a #1 hit in five different decades (maybe top ten if not #1).
The Bee Gees were talented in many genres of music. For whatever reason, the music industry tried to kill their career but the Bee Gees persevered and came out on top. Their concert in Las Vegas in 1997, almost 20 years after the disco fiasco was a sellout, their fans didn't forget them and went crazy when they played their disco songs. I've seen videos of the Bee Gees performing in other countries in the 80's and 90's, people loved them .I recently saw a clip of Barry at the Grand ol Oprey singing " How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", which was popular almost 50 years ago and got a standing ovation. People remember. If the music industry tried to kill our love for the Bee Gees, it backfired. The Bee Gees let us into their lives, what other group did that? Barry Gibb is a much loved and respected music icon and yet when he gets a standing ovation, he's humbled. The Bee Gees had their professional ups and downs and I hope the ups made up for the downs.❤❤❤ Sorry Babs, I didn't mean to get so long winded. What a great tune, the Brothers were so over looked in the early 70's, I think they had a great sound from Odessa to Mr. Natural but the record buying public really didn't get a chance to hear much of it besides, "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart"

@@barbaracovell Hi Barbara! To tell you the truth, I never could figure that out until recently. I'm pretty "new" , less than a year, making comments. So I guess when I first started, somehow RU-vid gave me that "name", or I hit something that made it do that! Wasn't sure what I was doing with it at the time. But recently I've figured it out, and just decided to leave it as it is.

This is Maurice again, similar to his other fantastic songs showing his amazing talents that were never allowed to be presented to the public as they had to stick to their commercial sound. I much prefer this to some of Barry and robin's ballads. Mo was absolutely amazing his versatility and range plus his rocking side. Super talented and gone too soon.
