No wonder it doesn't appear on most of their their compilation CDs. To be down at number 95 it must only have sold a few thousand "45s" right throughout America! And I've just checked that, by the way, and it must only have sold 500 - 1000 singles in a week to be at the bottom of the Top 100...
The album of the same name was equally obscure: it only went to number 178 here, and did not chart in the U.K. at all, but it did make the top 20 in Australia, where the brothers Gibb enjoyed their pre-fame years.
If you notice , he isn't really dancing. He is almost conducting with his body. As instrument starts or finishes, he makes a movement. He feels the music .. knows every part of it. Something mo as well would do at times too with his hands.
That's because he never plays an instrument so his hands are free. Barry's hand movements is how he engages with the audience when not playing guitar.🎼
If you notice at the end of the song, as they are walking to shake Mike Douglas' hand and walking to the seats, Robin slows down and lets Barry sit down first. He respects Barry and it's unfortunate that the two had such a sibling rivalry. Robin was very respectful of Barry but just wanted the opportunity to sing more leads. His unique and beautiful voice certainly deserved more leads.

Barry deserves a lot more appreciation. Just because he had a lot of problems with his brothers doesn’t mean he didn’t love them at all. Barry also has feelings. Respect him too.
Barry’s a good man. So lovable. So handsome, and sexy. So admirable. And so talented. Beautiful, unique, easily recognizable voice. And a brilliant songwriter.
I appreciate you saying this about Barry, seriously. I never knew Barry was under such attack before I came on RU-vid. I always thought everyone loved Barry, and those who didn’t love him as much as their favorite, at least treated him with respect. Until I came on RU-vid recently, and discovered that there are actually a lot of Robin fans who treat him like scum, and don’t even want to hear him (how can you be a true Bee Gees fan and not enjoy all parts of their songs). I may be a true Barry fan, through and through. I love him to pieces, everything about him!, but I enjoy and appreciate all their contributions to the songs. I don’t skip over Robin’s parts, like some Robin fans say they skip over Barry’s. I don’t compare Barry to Robin and make it a competition. I just enjoy the music, even as I love Barry, love his gorgeous voice, as well as his gorgeous looks, and him as a person. It’s sad to see how Robin fans treat Barry. All Barry fans ask is for some respect for Barry, just like Robin gives him here. Even with their apparent moments of clashing, and their very different views on life, and all the hurts they caused one another, some significant, they always found a way to respect each other, and ultimately love each other. So this really was refreshing to see. Thanks for sticking up for Barry.
@@TWariner yes. However, like everyone else, Barry was rude in some parts of his life, but that doesn’t automatically make him a bad person. He was only rude to someone if they were rude to him first. Not saying that i don’t like him, I love all of The Bee Gees (mainly rob) but I think Barry deserves a lot more respect and recognition. People like Fran hunt would say things like “forget Barry, he was jealous of his brothers and didn’t like them at all” or “mo was romantic, but like rob he was uncomfortable around Barry” and other things that were completely false. They haven’t seen the interview where mo talks about his brothers. He described Barry as a loving and protective soul who loved his brothers dearly and was never jealous of any of them.

I love Barry, imperfections and all. If I had to list Barry’s imperfections I’d say being too humble and generous and giving and devoted to his family for his own good is one of them. At the same time they’re all strengths. Barry has outright said he has a big ego, with equally big insecurities, which, he said, all big artists have. He mentioned people like Michael Jackson, and Elvis Presley. He said Michael would ask him if Prince was better than him and Barry would tell him no one could do what Michael does, so don’t worry about it. Barry admitted during an interview that he likes to hear himself talk, when the interviewer said he wanted the others to talk more. Some would say Barry taking full advantage of his good looks before marriage to sleep with any girl he wanted to, could be a flaw. BUT the amazing thing is that all came to a crashing end when he married Linda. How he went from being a huge womanizer before marriage to having eyes only for Linda after is quite amazing, especially since the temptation and opportunity certainly hadn’t gone away. Barry’s definitely the take charge leader, in everything he does. He just automatically steps up, which I find quite admirable and manly. He does it in speaking, performing, writing, business, and in his immediate and extended family. And I just adore him for it... I can see how he could come across as bullying and it’s my way or the highway, etc. He was just always very take charge, and focused. But he’s also all the things his brother mentioned, plus he has an easy giggle, and his brother said, a great sense of humor. Everything he did was for the greater good. He deeply loved all his brothers, especially Andy, enjoyed their company, and would do anything for any of them. Robin fans need to start seeing Barry for how he really is, and all the contention would cease. Thanks again for your response.

Poor guy never seemed to know what to do when he wasn't singing. Awkward body movements and he never knew what to do with his hands. Loved him to bits, though!
He was cute whatever he was doing...that's part of his appeal...I think he knows what he's doing that is moving with the thytm, and it's totally lovable...

You’re the type of Robin fan(s) I was just talking to another Robin fan about. You aren’t a true fan of the Bee Gees, then. I may be a true Barry fan, and think he has the best, most delicious voice, but I appreciate everything about their songs, including Robin’s parts and voice, because I’m also a true Bee Gees fan. How very sad it is that you can’t enjoy the songs in their entirety. It must be a very unsatisfactory experience, and you’re missing out on so much.
It sounds like the studio song is playing as a backing track and they are singing live vocals on top of themselves. You can hear the live Robin coming over the studio one in the verse. That must be really hard to sing with yourself 😅
Robin also waited for Maurice to go ahead of him . I think he was just being well mannered . No hidden meaning here. I'm feel Robin sang lead on plenty of occasions going by all of the videos I've watched .
Most likely they were told where they were supposed to sit, and even if not, Barry usually took the first seat, and Robin was just waiting for Barry to take his place. Doesn’t mean Robin didn’t respect Barry, however. I’m sure he did. I’ve seen Barry wait to walk off stage, and motion Robin to go ahead of him, like a gentleman. Saw it during an awards show, too. Barry is definitely a gentleman.

Robin que parecia ser o mais tranquilo e gente fina era o que mais causava problemas, segundo o que divulgam, mas a vóz do cara era muito diferenciada e fazia a diferença na harmonia vocal do grupo, era mais ou menos como a diferença que o vocal do Paul Mccartaney fazia nos Beatles, embora o vóz do Robin fosse mais marcante.
