Every time I see a Bee Gees vid, it brings tears and smiles. Tears due to the loss of Mo and Robin. 😢 Smiles due to the awesome work they left behind. ♥️
During this time period Robin carried a little extra weight and he looked great. His live performances had a little extra something, too, like he was enjoying himself. It seemed a happy period of his life.
Robin was high a lot around this time. You can really see it in the Run to Me video. When his eyes are puffy, and he's smiling more than usual, he's high lol

@@lin_mrachek In the mid to late 90's Robin started losing his hair.....that is when he started using a hair piece. When he was young he had beautiful thick wavy hair.
@@lin_mrachek Around 2003/2004 after Maurice's death. In the 1989 Australia Tour he still looked handsome & healthy, with good hair. But in the 1990s he started losing hair and I believe his health deteriorated too. In the 1997 Alone Tour he sported short hair with a large bald patch. He went on like that for a few years, but soon the loss was such that he had to do something about it, IMO.

I'm just sorry the camera isn't equally on Maurice as it is on his brothers. This happens a lot. If we saw more of him, I'm sure there would be many comments about how gorgeous Maurice is too!
Me too, i only see Robin and want to hear he sings. He is the best so sweet and gorgeous. He has an angels voice. Tears in my eyes all the time he sings.

@@marlenmuller he was so used to using his hand. I think he preferred using his hand other than the headset. Robin was one talented and amazing singer. His voice was just breathtaking. He could reach the core of your soul singing.

Most TV programs in the 70s and 80s had acts miming and usually the performers had no say in the matter(eg UK Top of the Pops). There are lots of clips of the Bee Gees miming. Robin is usually the give away as he is terrible at miming, he looks far too happy and waving his arms about compared to real singing where he looks more intense, often grabs the microphone stand and the vein is his neck usually sticks out.
Yeah, tv variety shows were scripted to the last second and surprises were problems to be avoided at all costs. A lot of time more than one act was scheduled and there was no time or room for them to set up their own equipment. A live version might go on longer than the recorded version or worse a performer might sing an unexpected offensive lyric. Acts had no choice about it if they wanted the promotion and they did. The Bee Gees could have sung live better than most but unless "live" was specified like on the Midnight Special clips, it was lip sync.
I miss these 3 guys very much. Very rarely did they ever put out anything that wasn't brilliantly crafted and executed. Through every stage/decade, they were amazing. I mourn the loss of them, as well as I mourn the years that are behind us all now. I hope Barry is well. I would have loved to seen them. Thank you for this rare gem.

Under this video, a Robin fan wrote that Barry was a bad example to his siblings because he carried a ring in his pocket when he was young. So Barry was guilty of Robin's vices. I wonder how their minds work. I try not to get angry, but when I read these, I go crazy. Because they're trying to convince people who barely know Barry.
Robin’s hair is extremely long. It’s absolutely gorgeous. His beautiful face makes everything better. And ofc we can’t forget those big, brown eyes and cute brows. ❤❤❤
Sometimes it really makes me mad when the camera doesn’t focus in on Maurice as much as Barry and Robin. He is just as important to the band as Barry and Robin. BUT the camera does focus in on the guitar player on the right! Don’t even know who he is! :(
I agree. Was waiting the entire time for the cam to focus on Mo. Fortunately, this is something which was never a big deal for our dear Mo. Never a big deal for him if his brothers get the spotlight all the time. But in later years, his charming persona on stage just can no longer be ignored.
I think in the early years it did bother Mo too. In later years he mentioned it in an interview and then said he was silly for being jealous of it and decided to appreciat the success they had as a group and not care about such coverage. What a great guy to just let it go... I still wish he and Robin had received same coverage though, but we cannot change this...
