The Beechcraft Baron is a light twin-engine piston aircraft designed and produced by Beechcraft. The aircraft was introduced in 1961 The Cessna 310 is an American four-to-six-seat, low-wing, twin-engine monoplane produced by Cessna between 1954 and 1980. It was the first twin-engine aircraft that Cessna put into production after World War II.

The critical things when looking at these planes. Useful load(obvious), higher single engine ceiling(better single engine climb, safety), Wider cabin(you are not rubbing shoulders). This translates into you can carry bigger people, safer and more comfortably. Lots of RU-vid videos on both planes, notice the shoulder room in the 310 and how close they are in the Barron. The Barron is a beautiful expensive airplane.

With VG’s installed, the 310 gross weight goes up 180 lbs. But, if you have passengers with mobility issues, the 58’s double doors is a huge plus. Baron’s are expensive comparatively.

The stats on the 310 must be the Q...I owned a 310R and the engines were 300 hp and basically matched or exceeded the B58

Most 310r have 163 gallons of fuel, not to mention 1700 hour, TBO engines that can be extended up to 2200 hours with the right mods. 310 hours is a much more comfortable lawn range, cross country machine than the baron is.
