Shaq is more qualified to speak on the subject than SAS first and foremost. Shaq has played the game with these players and knows. SAS doesn't know anything about sports and just regurgitates other people's comments. Shaq said he should be in the conversation. He put 5 names in the basketball elite conversation. Jordan, Jabar, James, Bryant and Curry. He has 4 championships and should be included. He never said he was better than the other 4 but he did rank Curry over himself. He doesn't give that type of praise without reason for doing so. I demands more out of players on a regular basis and wants to see them perform at a high level. For him to rank Curry over himself means he earned that. Stephen A knows nothing about basketball. Why do people even ask him?
To be fair, Moses Malone WAS a better and more skilled player than Shaq (as was Hakeem). Shaq obviously was more dominant, but that's just because of his immense size and bulk.
I'll just say this: In the history of the NBA there have been 4,374 players to ever play the game. If you consider Steph Curry to be in your Top 10 Ever that puts him in the Top 0.2% of players to ever play. Being Top 5 would put you in the Top 0.1% of players ever. Being Top 3 would put you in the Top 0.06% of players ever. I don't have Steph in the Top 3, but Top 10 is still one of the Greatest of All Time. It's just splitting hairs. He's in the All Time Greatest Convo, he's just not Michael Jordan. It's like shaming Marshall Faulk or Ladainian Tomlison for not being Walter Payton or Barry Sanders.
How is he not in the GOAT conversation?? He Changed Basketball literally!! Now everybody shoots 3 pointers , if it wasn’t for him DUNKS would still be considered the most exciting play in basketball. His 3 pointers ignite a whole league be Real !
If he was a real point guard he wouldn't have to rely on a 3 point shot lebron can shoot 3s,kyrie can shoot 3s,dame Lillard which is a far better point guard than steph and would have a better chance at being in the goat conversation can definitely shoot 3s so that means that Currys skill is none existent and all those I just named can play defense curry cannot without collecting 5 fouls in attempting to playing defense
MAD DOG has a point with his GOAT analysis. He's ENTERTAINING and HILARIOUS. Don't interrupt him, he'll BARK and SHOUT at you 🗣. This is the FUNNIEST SEGMENT i've ever watched. MAD DOG is FIESTY and FUNNY, especially when he said "Look at me Stephen", it made my day 😂
If LeBron is in the GOAT conversation with 4 championships and his accolades.. Then there's no reason to scoff at Steph being in it with his accolades when he also has 4 championships. Especially since 3 out of 4 of them were AGAINST LeBron.
Let's not forget he put lebron in the history books by being on the team that got defeated in the finals by a team coming back from 3-1 in the finals and winning a chip curry could not win one game.that is a far more embarrassing moment than winning chips against lebron.that series goes down in the nba hall of shame for the curry and the warrors.klay Thompson says he still has nightmares about that series.now if curry would be able to destroy a team in the same manner then he might be in the conversation other than that nahhhhh
Steph curry deserves consideration and Impact big time and nobody else like him before or now. He is truly one of a kind. top 10 easily and can move up the chain, Mad Dog is a Shaq hater and needs to shut up and this is embarrassing.
Mad Dog always holding for old guys into a higher tier is so funny and so annoying at times. Dude thinks NBA stopped after 90s. Always consider those old old guys so much higher in the top list.
Why do people say Labrick? How did he change the game, and would he have rings had he not switched teams, and was given a ring during the bubble/ covid year.
Why do people say soft furry? He didn't change the game either last I checked the 3 point shot has been around for ever and there were shooters better at it than furry.and any player that can go to any team and make that team a instant playoff contender and win a chip is far better a player who stays on the same team.i would rather travel around the world than play it safe and stay in the same town.in my book furry is a fluke and could never be better than the real king lebron james.
Changing the game isn't always a good thing. Curry hasn't changed the game for the better AT ALL. And he would NOT have survived in the 80s and 90s. Lebron would have.
Having him in the Conversation is the point. Especially if LeBron is in there, however Curry is Top 5 greatest of all time, nobody wants to give the Small Lightskinned Kid his due
Steph is the goat at being Steph … no one does what he does … he’s in my top 10 for sure .. he is the most fun to watch and he’s by all accounts a good guy . That said to say he’s best all around that’s tough , but he’s the greatest at his style of play .
I'm not going to say Moses Malone is better than Shaq. But I am glad Mad Do brought him up because Moses Malone and other players name get forgotten because of these GOAT debates. LOOK AT ME STEPHEN!! 🤣🤣
For once, Stephen A. makes absolute good sense. "The best shooter God has ever made." He's also right to stop short of calling him GOAT because his short stature makes defense a tough job for him. Mad Dog is correctly named. And J Will is the fuzziest thinker.
When you are so good all the defense wants to do is focus on you, yes you are dominating the defense. These are the same guys who said Steff would never make it. they said you cant win a championship by shooting the three. He proved all of that wrong and changed the league. The league has done all it can to stop him form winning. Some of those goats they are calling got all the help.
@@condellmaurice8597 but in 2016 when he faced the cavs the three did absolutely nothing.the caves shut him down cold.and curry can do one thing.that is congratulate himself for being the first player in nba history to get beat by a team that came back from a 3-1 deficit and get destroyed in the finals by the king lebron james.thats the only thing anybody will remember when it comes to curry oops I meant flurry
@@K7289 You referencing the series where the NBA did all they could tot stop them from winning. That seems to happen against Lebron alot. So what. Lebron Called them a monster. He knew how good he was and what he had to do to stop him. They are all terrified of him getting hot and breaking the game open. Steff has gravity and you all know it.
@condellmaurice8597 had nothing to do with the nba it was the cavs defense golden state didn't have an answer for it.then it was lebrons tenacity on defense and his offensive prowess and Irving's incredible play not to mention the supporting cast that golden state was not ready for.they probably thought they had it wrapped up but the cavs didn't give up then all of a sudden golden state was like woah were not prepared to stop a team like this.thus being destroyed on their home floor.the cavs never feared curry and they showed the entire nba how to defeat and destroy golden state after that the entire nba followed suit.in fact due to the fact that curry could not play defense kyrie Irving had a field day scoring on him.curry couldn't stop kyrie if you gave him instructions. Lmao
Hmmm Doggy is correct in what he saying about thise players over Shaq. I guarantee you 85% of you don't know anything or were around when these guys played ball. Moses was a center/forward 6'10 215lbs not 7'1 300 plus in his day. Team feared this man when he played ball. Hakeem Olayuwon no one could stop his dream spin move, once again at 7' 250lbs. Do i need to speak about Kareem i didn't think so (skyhook) 6 rings, three national championship and 6 MVPs. Now here's the real goat Mr Bill Russell 11 time NBA championship player coach 6'10 220lbs hmmm not 300 plus. This was in Boston of all places one of the.most racist place in the north
Personally, i do not consider steph top 10 all time..but should be included in the conversation..maybe if he wins a fifth title and another fmvp..then he is top 10 all time..who will he replace then..i'd say shaq or wilt..now..the bigger problem would be if giannis and jokic will win three or four more chips each..this is doable especially if they became teammates..and how about embiid or even luka..right now those two have more than enough accolades..what they lack are chips..btw my goat, if dominance of your era is the yardstick..is bill russell..mj dominated only less than half of his era..lebron shares his era with timmy on the first half and was not that dominant on his second half..sure he is still great..among top 5 maybe..yes, he won four, same with curry..has not won an mvp after 2013..while steph, giannis, and jokic each won twice..and in successive years at that..the other winners were kd, westbrook, harden, and embiid..and embiid may win it again this year..while lebron was not even top 5 in most of those years..and i seriously doubt if he can be mvp again..his door is closing. ,he might win another chip and fmvp, but not a regular season mvp again..presently..he is not even top 10..ahead of him are embiid, jokic, shai, luka, giannis, tatum, hali, ant, kawhi, dfox or sabonis, even AD, his teammate and perhaps steph..
Every goat has one thing that their not great at, with Steph is defense, with Russel, Wilt, its passing , shooting, with Magic its ouside shooting and defense. With Lebron its free throw shooting and outside shooting, with MJ its mabye outside shooting but hes the most complete. But my point is if all those other players can be in the goat convo with flaws why cant Steph?
With wilt it is shooting, same with russell, lebron shaq..with steph and magic it's defence..steph has an excuse but not with magic who is 6'9"..with kobe it was efficiency..he was the most inefficient among the top 11 in terms of field goals and turnovers, the two players who are relatively no weaknesses in their game are bird and mj..mj was great in defence ..bird was great in most of the aspects of the game and was quite good also as a defensive player..not that great as an on ball defender but compensates in team defence, rebounding, steals and deflections..the most clutch are of course mj, bird, kobe..the other 8 are not, even magic or steph..mostly their waterloo are ft shooting in the dying seconds when the game's outcome is being decided..shaq, wilt, russell, lebron, even kareem and timmy..
Wilt is a default , cause of the surrounding talent which ain’t his fault but being his height and playing against majority white hous who was 6’3 & under he should’ve did what he did
Yo my guy, what all do respect don’t listen to this new media he wasn’t playing against small people. There was many formidable centers and power forwards in the days of Wilt! that’s what I mean when I say that people make the narrative and comparisons who didn’t even see the player actually play, stay tuned when some of these current players retire like LeBron and time goes on and there’s going to be newer fans who said he wasn’t that grade or he played against less competition, were you agree?
Amen Wilt was a superior athlete to Shaq. World class high jumper broad jumper volleyball player ! He played every minute of every game one season. He led the league in assists as a center!! These idiots just dismiss the last just like DRJ said: If it happened before 1980 then it doesn't count..lol. You can see why Rick Barry is not invited back on these shows as he knows the history of basketball .
@@shawnsmith8335Huh? He played against Russell and dominated him! Ever hear of Nate Thurmond! Look him up fool! You are as naive as JJ Reddick who said there were plumbers and firemen in the 1960s!!😂😂😂
@@CJ-vh2hf nah I went back at look at the footage his level of competition was not there you can literally check it , Walt Bellamy was like one of the only big men that was around his size , embry and them was 6’8 and lower &&& no lebron a be talked about differently cause look at his level of comp , from era to era - from Ben Wallace and that stacked piston team , to the classic spurs , to Kobe , then to the 2010s spurs , the warriors , to Gianni’s & joker now he done dealt with all levels of comp and
In defense of 30 ,while curry is average at best on defense I would argue that the toll of having to guard the best shooter of all time all over the the court once he passes the half court line Is extremely taxing on the offense of the other team that is why warriors would run teams off the court by 3rd quarter .
@@slyFoxx365 I may be miss understanding your message but I think you mean when curry is on ball the defense is switching so it’s not as taxing but curry is most dangerous when he’s off ball and defensively the other teams are in panic . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-au1X4lEy1bg.htmlsi=ppZbqITd2NMyWmCc
In my opinion Reggie Miller is the best 3p shooter of all time.he just didn't get any chips because of mj.mj stopped alot of star players in his generation from getting chips even Patrick Ewing said so
It be crazy how the person who putting steph infront of him is the person saying it how Stephen A go say anything he did not even play at they level or win a nba championship but he do got a lot too say Shaq played all these guys he can’t be capping how are the spectators telling the players what too say or what it is world ass backwards cause make it make sense😂😂😂😂💯
BLASPHEMY. J will you gotta do better. Steph is the reason Lebron don't have more rings. KD or not. Even Lebron playing in weak eastern conference. But that's not even the blasphemy, Kobe from the outside looking in??? Look just cuz the media wanna put Lebron on this pedestal doesn't mean everyone else has to. Media been tried to tare down Kobe for the longest, stop playing. Lebron still ain't even caught up to Kobe in rings. Kobe had Shaq, MJ had pippen, Lebron had D wade, D Rose, Kevin Love Kyrie Irving, Ray Allen, Isaiah Thomas, the list goes on. Foolish. He's a stat padder and ring chaser. And if he doesn't win it's always someone else's fault. Stop it.
What I think Steph Curry it's easily a top five point guard of all time and easily the greatest shooter of all time but the 🐐 come I don't even have Steph Curry in my top 10 you put him in the '80s, '90s and even early 2000s and I guarantee you he's three point shot will not be as effective as what it is today is defense is horrible He's playmaking is pretty average
Steph is a phenomenal basketball player. The greatest shooter ever and it ain't even close....... But C'mon nah! Lol. The GOATs do multiple things on the highest level: Shoot, score, defend, pass, iq, leadership, carry their team, etc. Other than shooting, you cannot point to any of those things and say Steph did these things better than anyone else did in the course of his playing time imo. He's top 10-15 imo
If you're gonna put lebronze in the debate you have to.put Steph. Leflop does nothing but complain, make excuses, trade, switch from teams, the nba bends over backwards for him and still is so insecure he has others call him the GOAT. People put the fraud in the debate when he didn't even win his first chip, no way in hell is that right to say a guy that has never won is a possible GOAT contender but Steph with 4 championships, 2 MVPs one in which he is the only unanimous winner, changed the game like it is today, and makes people better players isn't a contender. It's bull 💩
Mad Dog needs prayer. Shaq isnt the 5th best center. Hes probably 3rd behind Kareem and Bill Russell. Steph isnt the GOAT but hes definitely a top 10 player
You are a fool! Wilt dominance over Russell is history Wilt averaged 50 points per game and 16 of those games were vs Russel! He had 55 rebounds in one game vs Russel! Did you know the year Wilt averaged 50 per game they gave the regular season MVP to Russel? There would be riots today if that ever happened!
@@romelsligh2788 Both. Wilt still has records today that will stand even with the no hand checking free flowing NBA where if you breathe it's a flagrant foul..lol. You think LeFlop James would be driving to the basket if this was the 1970s or 1980s? They would knock his sorry ass to the ground;
Steph CURRY THE GOAT. He's the most impactful player in nba history!! He's 6'3 and u gotta double team him at half court, really think about that. He changed the game more than jordan, bron and kobe!! They say he a bad defender, but look who he has to guard at the point guard position. Lebron never stopped KD, MELO, TMAC, PG but hes still looked at as an great defender. You go to any gym, park, etc u gone see one player. It aint Giannis, Luka, Lebron, or KD. Its Steph!!
Im done with this bullshit. Its all wrong shame on all of you!!! Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Magic, Duncan, Bird then we talk. You guys don't know NBA history!!! ESPN is a propaganda network
Steph can't be the greatest shooter of all time unless he gets that leading career points from lebron,...other aspects of his game need development,....
I would have 1. Kareem 2. Wilt 3. Hakeem 4. Shaq 5. Russell. You could argue Russell zhould be higher and maybe a Long shot case for Moses over Shaq, even though I would say Shaq over Moses
Steph did not change basketball. That is complete bs. Steph carries the torch of high standards. People keep repeating marketing bullshiht. I've been watching basketball for almost fifty years and not much has changed at all besides uniforms becoming more loose fit and refs becoming more abnoxious insisting on shoving their azzes in the camera to block the game from being played. People have always shot from outside and hit threes. Stfu regurgitating minions. Steph is one of *MANY* Greats.
