KRS is a legend of Hip-hop, one of my all time favourite rappers with BDP but tbh he did over react to that Nelly song which wasn't even directed at him....and probably was a case of an older artist being not very relevant anymore being a envious of the newer guys coming through, he was being hypocritical .That said, KRS is one of the best rappers ever and Nelly is a Pop/RnB has been.

KRS-ONE is a far better lyricist and Nelly is a far better commercial performance artist, KRS-ONE is strictly Hip-Hop and teaching, Nelly is rap/pop and geared more towards women, Nelly really helped ushered in that singing rap that we hear today, I think he own that, even though he's not the first rapper to sing and rap, but he made the bulk of his music off of it and got rich, KRS-ONE on the other hand comes from an era where you constantly were being challenged and challenged other M.C.'s and dissed them because you'll put yourself first and let the crowd decide the victor, Nelly's era not with the battle rap because battle raps can damage images and end careers so most commercial driven rappers stay away from battles and diss songs, look at how Pusha fried Drake, Drake ain't been the same.

This battle shows why in the Drake vs Pusha T beef, it doesn't matter if Drake can't outrap him when they have so many commercial fans, their career would never end like it would in the old days of hip hop.

kRS-1 has been my man from his 1st album, yes I'm a old head. I never felt Nelly, because he was just beyond my days of Hip-hop. Not saying that his shit wasn't real, it just wasn't in my area. As much as I love TF outta Kris, that boycott was booty. You don't try to hurt your brother, especially if he's on the straight and narrow. KRS even said it himself " There is one thing you need to learn, that old school artist don't always burn. " He is still #1, Nelly can't touch him, but he did lose that battle.

The man is just a great artist and his albums sold millions worldwide. I think the public decides who is great. Nelly proved that.
