Another great recipe, hope you don't mind me saying hun but I think you and Ian do great cooking and you would do great to bring out a recipe book,,,such down to earth cooking an idiot like me can do lol, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This looks scrumptious. I love curry but unfortunately it doesn’t always like me. Maybe I could do it and leave the chilli out. Would that work, do you think. I also love the bread you made. I’m so hungry after watching this. Thanks for the video and for goodness sake how can anyone put any horrible comments, just keyboard warriors, obviously not raised with being taught if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all, like the majority of us were. Enjoy your weekend guys. Looking forward to seeing your next video and Ian making his pudding.
Looks delicious. I love how you cook in an ordinary kitchen, not a TV chef kitchen. You show its achievable. Those flatbreads, why ever would you buy them again when you can make them like that, i want a curry now 😋😋
If love beef rendang, you would also love massaman curry. I really like your traditional British recipes. I actually taught myself to cook British foods as I only knew Indo Caribbean cooking. All the best.
Awwwww that looks lush 😋. Never heard of this dish, but definitely gonna have a go at making it, thanks Mandy and Ian, hope you’re feeling better soon Ian .
I should imagine the smell is lovely. I've never seen naan made, fantastic! I'm a wimp regarding spicy curry but should imagine it's lovely, I'm a korma girl😀. Take care both and I hope the cold comes to nothing Ian
Hi mand!never tried this curry, but it looks delicious,I love coconut so I’ll be trying this, also the naan breads, you make it look so easy to make so hopefully I can do them as well as you do,I bet the onion seeds are delicious in them ,looking forward to having a go., Love Marilyn❤️
Never heard of this before.Did you say this was Indonesian? I was a butcher, you can't beat the cheaper cuts for flavour. Shin, brisket and pork belly are my absolute favourites. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ❤xx
It originates from Indo but commonly eaten and found in Malaysia. Also, it goes especially well with Jasmine Rice and you can make it so it isn't reduced so much so there is more gravy/sauce to get soaked into the rice :). All the best. (when on the plate, add a splash of fresh lemon juice to wake the dish up and it'll be even more amazing!)
You are really a good cook. I love watching you , your hubby loves his food x just like mine. I love cooking like you. So happy I found your cooking videos. Thank you for sharing your menus.
I often make this - roughly the same recipe, but I use fresh turmeric root and fresh coconut - which in my opinion makes a big difference. The problem with using fresh turmeric is my fingers end up orange!
Another great video, l love watching you cook, there's no messing about, you two have a great weekend, hope Ian gets better soon 💖🤗💖🥃🍹xxxxx the best couple on RU-vid 💐
gorgeous could eat that but a bit long cooking for me I am a lazy cook pity you cant buy it in a jar but i have never hear that curry before even when we used to go in the indian on a saturday night many moons ago you are such a good cook love watching you xB
Hi there I was surprised to see you make Rengdang, one of my favourites,I usually get it in a restaurant,I made it at home once, but I wasn’t happy with it.I made it from a NY Asian Chefs cook book,it had loads of shallots in the recipe, and I felt that was the overpowering taste.I think I will try your recipe,I have good beef for it in the freezer, and the next time I shop I will get the lemongrass,we have trouble getting kefir lime leaves, and galangal too,if I could still spend an hour walking around Chinatown,I’m sure I could find it,but at almost 80,it’s become harder to take the Subway trains, walk up the stairs, then walk around the shops,I am well, and TG doing okay, but somethings get harder,as you age.The old hips don’t like it.See you Sunday.😊
I'm about to go shopping. Might try this tonight! Just a suggestion...could you list the ingredients under tbe videos? I know i've just watched it but my memory's not so good.
Haven’t made this in a good while , yours looks scrummy 👏 I live in the sticks but my sister brings me lime leaves ( frozen) when she visits ( puts them in a freezer pack ) from Glasgow as I’m in the north east Scotland, never buy the dried they are vile . Asda do frozen but I think it must be the mega stores so you might be lucky if you know someone that can get for you . Great vid and cracking cooking 👍 just a thought I toast the coconut and I find it tastier , just my take on it x
Wanting to try this recipe, it looks fab. How do I join your FB page, or do you have a www site? Struggling here. I think i have all the ingredients now!
Look fine, unfortunately I’m in a minority I don’t like the taste or the smell of curry, I think coriander tastes like soap, a chillies not my thing, but I loved the ease of the recipe for a good quality meal.
Oo that looks delicious mand , my son would like this because he’s not keen on tomatoey curries thank you , would brown sugar be ok instead of the palm sugar ? Amanda xx
Here is the recipe for cousin Jim it's from county Durham 1lb liver, trimmed 1/2lb bacon derinded 4 onions sliced salt and black pepper 1/2 pint beef stock 1/2 to3/4 lb peeled potatoes sliced a little melted butter set the oven 180 degrees centigrade/350 farinite g.m.4 wash and trim liver then cut into thin slices dust with seasoned flour. In a frying pan. Lightly fry the bacon in it's own fat, remove the bacon add sufficient oil and lightly fry the onions and liver. Arrange the liver onions and bacon in an ovenproof dish season well, pour on the stock, and top with sliced potatoes. Cover and bake for about an hour. After about 40 min brush the potatoes with melted butter Place back in oven and let the potatoes brown.
Glad to hear you like liver,so many people don’t,but for me it needs to be pink in the middle,so a quick sauté in the pan,and on the plate,I don’t like the texture it gets when cooked a long time, and it become much stronger tasting.I think more people would like it if pan fried medium,it’s the strong taste most people don’t like.😊
Another scrumptious meal from the DL 😋 Will have to try this next week. A tip for you,you can peel root ginger by scraping the skin off with a teaspoon,it does work.
We're going to try this. Is it 2 tsp of Nigella seeds please? I've ordered some online - we're looking forward to making this. Would it work okay with chicken too? I've never had 'Rendang' x
No matter what you do on RU-vid you will always get trolls. Personally I think that they most really be very pathetic, individuals indeed. By the way that looked mouth watering.
