Instead of the grommets, ive seen where they shoot a staple on the bottom edge of the drilled hole where the wire rubs. It takes some practice or a magnifying glass and needle nose pliers, but it saves time, and is pretty much permanent.

What size battery are you using to produce the current?

Seems easier just to get wired Foundation.. 🤷‍♂️
