I must say that I LOVE your new website PA! It is amazingly simple and intuitive to navigate. My favorite feature is how powerful the sorting options are (especially when browsing ammo). I would recommend improvements but I can think of none. Great video! Great rifle! Great site! I love Pyramyd Air!
My San Rafael R1 came with open sights and various sight inserts. The most powerful spring piston air rifle of its day. Recently the piston seal on my "laserized" R1 failed, and Pyramydair did an excellent job of repair. Shook hands with Robert Beeman when they were on Airway Drive in Santa Rosa, wish they were still there.
I love my R-1,RX-1,R-9;they are all wonderfully accurate and the reckord trigger is a delight;i also enjoy my Webley Patriot/Beeman Kodiak .25 cal, powerfull and accurete with webley mosquitoes and Diana domes(same pellet) which i still have a good supply.Keep up the good videos and keep'em coming!!
Love my R1,mine has the Gary Gowdy designed beech stock with grip cap,the gun is over 14 years old and it shoots and looks as new.I have the Vortek muzzle brake installed on my rifle.I also have the English made Bemman Kodiak (Webley Patriot) in .25 cal,RWS 52 in .22,Beeman R-9 in .177,RWS 45 in .177,RX-1 in .177,which is the gas-spring version of the R-1.I love springers and i love airguns since i was a kid,my first gun was a crossman 622 co2 repeater that my father gave me.and a crossman 160,which was very accurate and a classic airgun...did i mentioned that i LOVE airguns?
the design of this rifle is surprisingly nice.essentially always with long barrel for greater range and precision and a great appearance very well built rifles so.
The R1 is one great air-rifle. Hunt small game with it all the time. I'd stick to the .20 cal or the .22 cal., it's just to much gun for the .177 cal. The R1/ Hw80 is a must for any airgun shooter to own.
Two questions; Every shot I take with my R1 carbine, I "pell" the skirt with a Beeman pell. It just seems to make sense to spread the skirt out as much as possible. I have no proof this does anything, tho, but it adds an extra step in every shot I take, which I like. Has anyone ever checked the velocity of a given pellet that's been pelled vs. unpelled through an R1? Second, what is the Beeman R1 book I keep hearing about? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.
I live in Texas, with my old Beeman R1. Sat in closet too long. Need repair. How does the shipping work on an air rifle? Where do I send it too. What is approx. cost to rebuild piston or what ever shoots the pellet out. I left a message on your office phone listed on your site
I am not familiar with the newer Beeman airguns I bought mine around 25 years ago and they have open sites one has peep sights that I put on, all Beeman. The R1 is the best rifle I have.
I was a my local Walmart, and I purchased my first Adult Air Rifle. It's a Beeman Dual Caliber Silver Kodiak X2 Model #10774. Have you ever done a review on this? Once I got familiar with the trigger I was getting 5 shot -1inch MOA at 30 Yards with the .177 Pellets. I'm impressed with anything that will shoot sub MOA. I'm hooked on Air Power!
My 88 Beeman R1 in .20 came with iron sights. Great gun. I do prefer shooting my R10s, they seem to group better (less hold sensitive) with very similiar power.
I own a original Beeman R1 that has IRON SIGHTS.I really love this rifle.I don't understand why Beeman chose to ommit the iron sights from this fine rifle.I bought this one brand new in 1988.
How do you view the difference or shall I be asking which air rifle is more powerful between the Beeman R1 air rifle, Benjamin Trail NP air rifle combo air rifle and a Remington Vantage???
I have a dead mint R-10 i bought in 1987.....looks nothing like these newer guns. Mine has a gorgeous stock, deep shiny bluing, and incredible craftsmanship. Are these new rifles on par with the vintage '80's Beemans in the quality department?
I have a question I hope you can help me I can say the RS3 Trigger Beeman Mach 12.5 .22 Cal? will have more power and accuracy than the Sniper rifles Hatsan 125 and 135 in .22 caliber? Which Gives The Advantage RS3 Trigger Beeman Mach have 60 lbs. Cocking Effort? thanks
What are the major differences between the different types of air rifles in the "r" series from Beeman? Is one superior to the other, or is there very little difference?
hello, I say that the Hatsan 135 is better than the RS3 Trigger Beeman and sniper Hatsan 125. There is another airgun power compared Hatsan 135, in the caliber .22? I can say the Walther Falcon Hunter, Gamo Hunter Extreme "the Beast", RWS Diana 34 6 Trigger, Ruger Air Magnum, Stoger Arms X50, there will be some of these that is more powerful than the Hatsan 135 in 22 cal?
Just curious, if the Beeman R1 and the Weihrauch HW80 are basically the same rifles with exception of iron sites so why does the R1 have a limited lifetime wty. to the original owner but the HW80 only has a one year wty.? Thanks in advance.
The Beeman R1 is the American name for the Weihrauch Hw80 (exactly the same gun) The R1 (Hw80) comes as standard with iron sights The Hw80K is the carbine version which comes as standard with detachable silencer and no iron sights
no problem, I was told from an air rifle rep that Beeman adds other "goodies" onto the HW80 rifle and tacks on the lifetime wty. as an additional selling feature.
I have a 1990 R1 Carbine .177 with all the bells and whistles from a zoom scope to trigger shoe and muzzle break. It looks new with under a thousand rounds through its barrel. It sits in its case idle these days b/c I have no where to shoot it. It's a tragedy.
How about reviewing the Mach 12.5? Apparently no one has, and if the numbers aren'tfar off, it could be a decent and serious magnum for those with a bit less cash.
This is an expensive rifle, but I've had my R1 for over 20 years now! It is something that will last a lifetime. The quality of the rifle can't be stated enough. There are higher power rifles but the fit and finish of the Beeman is excellent. Back in 1988 dollars, I think I bought my R1 for $350.
mines wearing a Williams fiber opticup frt. now the previous owner put on. I got the original frt sight along with the gun. Like to find a aperture site for the receiver.
contact weihrauch they will tell you how to get the parts I would recommend a peep sight for the receiver much better contact airguns of Arizona they have the weihrauch line
kenny cadarett I was wrong the frt sight 's not Williams it's a Tru Glow Globe and I love it, I found a Feinwerkbau rear sight ,but it won't adjust low enough for the frt one. So I'm using an ild Daisy aperture on it now . made so adaptions so it don't walk. . It's so accurate it seems I'm cheating my self sticking to the open sites .But it's mote fun than the scope
RimfireRat I have the weihrauch hooded front sight with the inserts and a beeman peep sight when I got my R1 .177 I used the iron sights that's what I started with when I got my R9 .177 I wasn't to accurate but with the beeman peep sight it gets better I convert them back to iron sights once in a while it's a lot of fun but the hooded front sight with the insert of your choice and a peep sight you can't go wrong
Iv shot quite a few Beeman rifles (we call them weihrauch here) and i would say the air arms tx200 trigger is way, way nicer. Who are these people that say the record trigger is the best in the world? lol. Still though, very, very nice gun and the trigger is awesome, Im not sure what the R1 equates to in HW terms but i imagine it has the same trigger as the HW95 and 97? Good videos pal, iv only just discovered you :-]
How you doing sir how I know my rifle Beeman R1 what year was made my brother give it to me as a gift year 1992 I know it's made by Germany Santa Rosa California but I know what year it was made thank you
It was only up until around 5 years ago that Beeman stopped putting sights on them. I actually would have liked to see that come back. Up until these came out, they had really nice target sights with a sharp front post... that could actually be taken out and replaced with others. I think I saw ghost rings available too.
Paul, my name is Paul also, the scope mount in beginning of video is different, looks like what I have on my Beeman R10 www.pyramydair.com/s/a/BKL_1_Pc_Mount_4_Long_1_Rings_3_8_or_11mm_Dovetail_6_Base_Screws_Matte_Black/2893 later on it is a two piece, wassup?
@joop226 The old site had the best images of air guns on the web. I like the old site better to. What would really be nice are ammo recommendations for air rifles emphasized for accuracy and not phony FPS……….
of curse it would be ok.it's your backyard and these guns are legal so enjoy!there's nothing to worrie about.but don't go jumting in the forest without licence!
IMHO, the big drawback with that rifle is the price. For the cost of this air rifle, I can buy 2, (two) Remington 30.06 rifles w/scopes and they're real firearms!!!
Some are heavier. There are places where rim fire, and center fire rifles are not allowed, and air rifles are. Price is according to one's budget. I'm retired now, and cost is not nearly as important as it used to be. My family is fully grown with my grand babies. So, I own several rifles from Anschutz, Ruger, Savage, Remington, and with a price tag of a couple hundred through 5 figures. I enjoy heavy. My guitars are almost all Les Pauls at 8 lbs each. I used to teach a business course: "The best "X" in the world, is the one YOU like the most. This particular air rifle looks as if it will suit me fin, but I'm not finished researching yet. Thank you very much for your input..blessings on you...
That may be true, but sit down all day target shooting with those 30.06 and tell me how your bank account feels afterwards. I bought a Weihrauch HW97KT these holidays and have been shooting everyday for hours on end. A tin of pellets last a while.
