I am back at Kidsgrove for the 2024 Blue Bell beer festival. I was here last year and I am pleased to be back again this year for this great fun event, with great beer, cider, and music.

Hi mate the last time I visited the beer festival I woke up on the toepath the following day. soaked to the skin... It took me a few hours to find my mate who had accompanied me to the festival he was fast asleep in a person's garden shed... The owner was not a happy chappy.. .I hope you enjoyed the festival. Mate . Anyway Trev stay safe and well mate.🍺🍺🍺.

Back in the late 60s we used to have a home built 23ft cruiser moored in that marine that was directly oposite the Mac junction and frequented the pub that stood over the locks from the Canal Tavern (not sure if the Tavern existed then)...

Before the Blue Bell, on the corner of the junction was a pub called "The Junction" but I have been told that the Canal Tavern has been there a long time. The Blue Bell built in 1836, now a free house was originally a brewery house of Dix and Co. I do know that there was once 3 pubs here at once. A poor part of the town, as was associated with Bargees, and leggers for the tunnel.

No other boaters there, as far as I know. I do know quite a few people that use the pub.

@@TrevsTravelsByNarrowboat They've made up for it today though Trev. It's absolutely pouring it down up here. Why are they doing this? I worry about the crops. Constant rain not good for our food supply.

@@KarenG.-qs7wc I think that is what it is all about, disrupt the food chain, to introduce the bug burgers etc. Once farmers cannot farm they have control of the food, then it is easier to control the populous.

@@KarenG.-qs7wc Yes they are, and it looks like we are going to have a general election on the 4th July then with a Labour government it will get worse.
