“As strong as a Destroyer” is pretty accurate. In the DBS manga, Beerus is shown being able to fight Destroyers from multiple other Universes at once; he’s acknowledged as an extremely powerful one even among them. Goku even pre-UI was probably on par or even stronger than many Universes’ Gods of Destruction, considering he is good enough to even fight Beerus one-on-one and not immediately lose at this point in the series. Goku always likes to fight an opponent equally though, even if it’s detrimental. He determined Zamasu here was worth Super Saiyan 2; which means Goku not only saw Zamasu and decided he didn’t need godly Ki, but that even going up to Super Saiyan 3 would have been too strong for a good fight.
Like fr, travelling a long way to fight someone, shows you think of them as a very worthy opponent, and thinking highly of someone is definitely respectful
Zamasu had no idea how much Goku values strength. If he wants to spar with you, traversing the entire universe to do so even, that is the highest form of respect he can show you
Traveling a long due to foolish pride isn't respect-worthy. He thought Goku was an idiot who was so full of himself he managed to get an audience with deities.
If Goku hears theres someone strong he will go as far or a short a distance to get a fight. Even if it means driving everyone insane just to give Goku what he wants.....cause otherwise he'll pout... ALOT
Goku Black was from a third timeline in which he succeeded and wiping it completely out besides zeno ofc. The zamasu in the future timeline never had a chance to be humbled by goku because he died from the heart virus. @@ZaTrapu

Yes . Beerus initially hated saiyans a lot. He was the one who ordered frieza to kill them but later when Goku unlocked SSG form he saw some hidden deity level potential in him which today we call ultra instinct. Well people do say Beerus spared earth because of good earthly food but fact is beerus did realise that may be one day in future Goku will surpass Beerus.
Yeah. Beerus is the equivalent of Anubis except he seeks destruction. And goku's is a roided ape from demon slayer with Harry Potter powers minus the wand.
Yeah, normally he is bossy to him and just asks him for food and normally gets annoyed, unless it's about fighting because his angel (sort of an assistant) trains Goku.

It’s a tactic he uses to measure up his strengths by hitting the limiter on every level of strength first before going into the next super saiyin. Goku is trying like Pokémon right if u have a level 5 charmander and u use ember and a level 20 bulbasour and it’s a critical hit ! Ur going to get massive exp point for doing that early on instead of making it to level 19 and getting less experience for beating the same Pokémon at a higher level .
Current Beerus actually looks proud to know Goku, hes grown much respect for him. Its still makes me laugh everytime when I watch the TOP and Beerus say, "Hes done it hasnt he, Autonymous Ulta Instinctus" 😂
Fun Animation Fact: So did Z. And Dragonball. And every animated show ever! Show opening animation only has to be done once, and it's handled by an entirely different studio. They have a big budget and a lot of time. The episodes are handled by the main studio with a very small budget and very little time. Every animated show does this. It can be pretty noticeable with Super at times, but you can notice it in any show!
Beerus knows what Goku is capable of, not in terms of cruelty or even power, but rather his fierce determination and never ending thirst for battles, which pushes him to be better every second he keeps fighting.

Saying that's 4% is really generous. He's at 25% of his SS3 strength. You'd have to assume that SSB is only about six times stronger than SS3 for that to work out. I'd argue he's not even at a hundredth of a percent at SS2.

Even the Daizenshuu numbers for SSJ2 and SSJ3 are never mentioned in the manga even once. You think Toriyama and Toyotarou were just sat there doing maths? They don't care about that shit.

Wish more fights were like this, everyone is super fast and can snap vanish and use blast. This is the first time in a long time we saw golu actually use martial arts, he was blocked, pushed through and swung his leg back for a kick which is dope as shit
He literally couldn't have done it without this interaction... This scene was used to showcase 2 things... 1 it would take a Goku level mortal to beat Zamasu... And 2 he never even knew mortals and gods interacted let alone fighting and training together... Before this point he just hated mortals for being stupid and useless but that generalization came from the select few Gowasu made him watch over... After this point he hated everyone gods included... That's why he killed the kais so the gods of destruction can die as well...
EACH fight they adapt and get stronger. Calling them mere mortals is beyond an understatement. They can rival anything as long as they live through it😂
To be fair, SSJ2 is Goku's mortal best "final form". SSJ3 is a "fake" state he unlocked with a dead body and drains his stamina and the god forms are....god forms. But yeah, Goku is a cheat. He did the same with Frost.
The worst thing Zamasu did was think that goku's body was the reason he was so strong. It does help with it but he is just insane. Training, fight, eat. Rinse and repeat. Man is a friggin nut
