As a 65 year old it’s wonderful to see such a young man appreciate and perform this music with such virtuosity and passion. It gives me hope for the future of these masterpieces. Thank you.
Are you suggesting a person needs to be dressed a certain way to play the piano ??? He playing the resorts piano. Whats wrong with you?@@CinqueTerre558

My 12-year-old child died in November 2022...every day you save my life but what an artist!? I close my eyes and forget about anxiety! Thank you very much!!
‼️❣️🎹 BRAVO YOUNG MAN ‼️‼️‼️‼️that’s coming from his soul; make np mistakes❤️ As a retired professional pianist and instructor it made my heart sing to listen to him. In response to some comments made about “no young people do this anymore” and how “against heavy metal, etc ”; I could play that and go in to my office and crank up Sebastian Back from Skid Row singing 18 and life and love it just as much. ALL MUSIC SPEAKS TO ONES SOUL IN DIFFERENT WAYS.
AWESOME JOB from someone who taught piano for 55 years. I only had a handful of students who ever played this and only one who might match up to you - operative might. You are spectacular. NEVER EVER STOP PLAYING. WHAT A TALENT.!!!
Very hard to answer with a number. He obiously has studied piano for a long time judging by his technic and skill. It' not so much how long it took to learn this piece as it is the number of years it took to gain these skills and how quick a study he is. For a skilled student of 7 or 8 years, I would guess he could learn it AND memorize it in about two weeks practinging about 2 hours a day or less. There are too many unknownvariable here to give you a solid answer.
I have a grandson who plays like you. He's been in music since he 3 years old. It is such a privilege to listen to you both. My advice to both of you is never stop playing the music. Your talents are so awesome. I'm glad I ran onto your blog. You are going to go far. You make so many people happy. We all need music 🎵🎶 thank you 😊

Mmm - when was the last time you heard this piece played faultlessly by such a sexy, beautiful, nearly half naked guy? I'm sure this video added a hundred thousand subscribers.

Your personality show through in how you perform this piece of music. You give the impression it isn’t challenging when it’s evident that you spent countless hours learning and perfecting it. I was fascinated seeing you play it.
@@DennisTedder-wj5ln It sounded great! Missing a few notes is fine as long as he keeps the tempo. It's like when you end up with a couple screws after you assemble something. The were obviously not needed! 😄
any level of ‘pianist’ can perform all of those, (you cant even compare the detail of performance required in a Beethoven sonata with movie or pop transcriptions but w/e) but can they do it well?
@@juv7026 No. This is a very mediocre rendition and your average conservatoire graduate will blow him away. If this guy didn't have film star looks and a marketing machine behind him no one would pay attention to his playing. He'd never make it in the classical music world because the competition is just way better. I have seen better pianists than him end up becoming teachers supplementing their income by doing occasional chamber music performances and conducting the local church choir. Let alone that he'd ever be able to play Beethoven at a level similar to great Beethoven performers like Wilhelm Kempff, Arthur Schnabel or Rudolf Buchbinder. Classical music enthousiasts don't care that he looks ripped and has a lot of charisma, they'll compare his playing to actual musical titans and recognise him for what he is: a skilled but mediocre musician.
What a treat to listen to this young man! My favourite piano piece! My mother used to play this for me when I was 8 years old - 70 years ago! Thank you.
God loves yall! and Jesus is King! read the Bible! Seek The Lord! The Lord Almighty! with all your heart and soul and strength and mind! Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Classical music is my number one enjoyment of all music genres. Beethoven is one of my favorite composers. His ninth symphony is my most listened to composition. This performance of Beethoven's Moonlight sonata is a pure blessing to hear. This young man plays a stunning performance of this most recognized classical piano work by Beethoven. He plays with a stunning vitality and power. A composition written so many years ago brought to life with a stunning performance. Thank you sharing your performance of this marvelous work.
God loves yall! and Jesus is King! read the Bible! Seek The Lord! The Lord Almighty! with all your heart and soul and strength and mind! Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband has been playing since he was 8. He loves that sonata and has had hell learning that third movement. When I first saw him, we were at a convention, it was 2 a.m. and he was in the lobby playing the first movement on the piano. I showed this to him tonight and he's absolutely blown away by this guy and his ability. Up to tempo, not a note out of place, he says. And I just enjoyed it with him. Bravo, sir, bravo.
I'm the palindrome of your age, and as a former professional musician, I can say this performance is quite remarkable. On a personal note (a little off-topic - pardon my wall of text): I love the technical excellence of the music of Chopin. I love the same about Beethoven and Mozart, and Mahler. But they have something Chopin didn't. He was wealthy and well taken care of his entire life, while the others in my example had very hard lives. Their music contains something the music of Chopin lacks: heart and soul, but more, it lacks the depth and grace of the divine. When you perform each, you can feel the differences deep inside. I have known other musicians who never picked up on that as I did then and do now. That's okay. We each can enjoy things for different reasons. That's the beauty of all the arts. Each can touch everyone in different ways. That's okay. More than okay; it's beautiful.
@@KLP99 Do you know what a palindrome is? It's the same thing written backwards as forward ... like civic written forward is civic written backwards. 86 is not the same forward as backward.
I love the contrast of playing. We all see the formal requirements that players endure. It was awesome to see the freedom this young man had to perform. His music reflected his freedom from the staid musical world. His music was awesome!
From my experience as someone who plays piano for over 38 years, you definitely play the music with feeling, excellent technique, you are enjoying every second you playing and don't have those things that many concert pianists have. From my side you are better than many of them, and age is not something you look on a musician, it's the talent of each person. Congratulations on your playing and excellent performance without a doubt, and those who say otherwise, screw them.
This rendering of Beethoven's 3rd Movement of the Moonlight Sonata is terrible. Reasonably OK (just OK) for an amateur but unacceptable for a professional piano player. I am amazed that someone who has been playing piano for 38 years does not realize there are so many flaws in this interpretation of such an iconic masterpiece.
@@TheFigaro666 seriously, you don't know sht about music. Go join those who play it by the book and not by feeling. Typical low life who just bla bla bla like the politicians. Get a life
Bravo, bravo and then again bravo. This cute young guy with his piano and with his unconventional behavior is a joy for eyes and soul. Grazie young boy.. Thanks from Rome - Italy.
It's amazing to me that a piece of music written so long ago is still played and enjoyed so many years later. Those composers will live forever; what a legacy. Great performance in such a relaxing and pretty locale.
I’ve suffered that loss. 2016, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2023. I understand and may God bless you. His music is very warming to the heart and he plays beautifully

Exquisite!! Amazing performance and choosing to perform wearing only shorts, in a tropical setting!! The contrast of your wonderful body and the elegant and classical Moonlight Sonata is perfect! Keep it going and we can enjoy more of your talent and physicality ❤.

Szuper amit kihozol a művekből. 😊❤️
Young Man, that small piece@5:28!- WOW! It is rare that in today’s world, we witness a young adult who can actually “ feel” the music he’s playing. Those six minutes were mesmerizing.🤴🏼🎹🎹👨🎨🗣️🗣️🌏🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁👊🏽
A truly excellent performance, played with discernment, grace and a feeling of relaxed ease, as if the formidable difficulties were nothing. This attractive young man performing shirtless is certainly eye candy and should he choose to, could have a dazzling career on the concert stage as an up and coming pianist.
@@obscurelyvague agreed. There will always be "someone better" in some people's opinions, all fine and good, but then they wanna tell you that you're wrong. We liked it, cute guy or not, we liked it, and wish him well and success
OMG am I glad I picked this to listen to!!! Wow!!! Everything was right !! Palms trees, swimming pool, no shirt and shorts ready for a dip in the pool after that hot work out!! A fantastic performance! You have a new fan !!!! 🥰
@@skwalka6372 Actually, you do remember single notes. As Horowitz put it, you have to be 200 percent sure of what you're playing, because the first hundred percent will leave you when you sit down to perform. That's where having a firm knowledge of the details, not just notes, but chords, chord progressions, gestures, body language, overarching structure comes in. Playing piano at a virtuoso level is a monumental task of memory.
The way you put it makes us sound like computers. In reality, it's a lot more natural. I think it combines muscle memory, visual queues, and audio perception to memorise it. Every one of us might do it differently. Some are better some are worse. I usually memorise how different parts in an orchestra play it, but some people take it further and can transcribe a part down to every note, stem, letter, dynamic marking, and spelling.
It is hard to find words that can match the incredible beauty of what I have just witnessed. A piano solo on RU-vid? Who would listen all the way through? But your gift and Beethoven's genius would not release me. Every note coursed through your body and soul and entered mine. Thank you.
And yes, this musician this Peter Buka made Beethoven swing!!! The only other pianist to do this was the late André Watts. You can feel this is how Beethoven felt!!!!
This piece has been without exception throughout my life, my favorite piece of music on the piano. I'm mesmerized by pianists like Daniel Barenboim on his performances of Beethoven - and my greatest and sincerest compliment to you young man.... you are right up there with Mr Barenboim with your Beethoven talent. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL ! Play all the stuff you want to play for sure, but keep a part of your heart for this too because you are so bloody good at it!
There is a utube of a 2 yr old boy hearing Beethoven for the 1st time at a piano recital. It's so sweet, his emotions. Comments on the video varied. I thought it was touching.
When I was 5 years old living in Ireland near Dublin I heard this music coming from our neighbours house. I climbed up on the wall and sat there listening. Mrs. Cook was playing her grand piano. We became fast friends and this piece of music is stuck in my brain forever. ❤❤ Peter is beautiful and plays it beautifully.
I’m always marvelled when someone can become one with an instrument and create absolutely true works of art, let us all recognize the beauty that surrounds us and lift ourselves out of the mud.
How on god's green earth does anyone move their fingers so fast they are nothing but a blur! Thank you, you've lifted me in more ways than you know. Bless you.
I am so moved by this video!!! It's amazing to see (and hear) a young fellow like this one, playing so masterfully a classic piece of music! This gives me hope! I thought all youngsters would only listen to rap, hip hop and reggaeton!!! BRAVO!!!! 👏👏👏
🙏🙏🙏🎼🎼🎼👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
I actually wept watching this astonishing performance. Does this young man realize what a gift he has? And I'm sure he's worked very hard to achieve this level of accomplishment. These classical pieces continue to be a gift to humanity and transcend the differences of cultures and societies. I will remember this performance the rest of my life!
I am left speechless here . He had me in tears . I can not even imagine the years and years of this young mans endless training to get to THIS level of performance . ALL FROM MEMORY no less . What he gave up in his childhood must have been great ... such as having school friends , vacations , hiking , going out to movies ETC . He stayed home and practiced . The pay off from all of that was THIS . He is as fine as any concert pianist out there at any age. It must be so incredible to be able to just express yourself this way . To relieve stress and let it ALL FLOW OUT . Congrats on creating your art !
I don't think he missed any hiking or fishing trips. He is in REALLY good shape. Obviously hits the gym on the regular and probably has the ladies flocking all over him.
