Barenboim is one of Gods finest creations... he is to piano music as Lionel Messi is to football, Michael Jordan is to basketball, and Tiger Woods is to golf. He has an incredible brain. He has recorded all of Beethoven and Mozarts piano sonatas, as well as Debussys piano preludes, and God only knows how much more on piano. He must have been excellent academically in his youth... having such a mega memory. He is truly a God amongst all us mortals ! Long live the king.
Grazie!
Beethoven not God ! But I suppose Beethoven was the middleman. As for showing off, we will leave that to a certain young virtuoso who will remain nameless.
A musical masterpiece by one of the best composers who ever lived--Beethoven🎹Excellently performed and interpreted by Daniel Barenboim and the orchestra👏
¡Oh no!
An absolute master. Those dancing fingers brought Beethoven's magnificent work to life. If only the camera was better focussed on Barenboim's hands more than on his face (although he needed to give it a wipe every so often). The Beethoven's Piano Concerto #5 raises one above the mundane to the heavens when played like this. 😇
He is the only pianist I have ever seen who plays PC No. 5 exactly how it should be performed. Not only with technical excellence and brilliance but more importantly with heart and soul. I am certain if Maestro Von Beethoven could hear Barenboim’s playing he would weep with the beauty and the light of his music. Claire 🏴 💜 xx
This concert, I guess, but am quite sure, was in Copenhagen April 19, 2009. Barenboim received the Leonie Sonning's Musicaward, which is awarded an excellent musician every year. The concert was in the then new concerthall of the Danish Radio's. The conducter is Danish Michael Schønwandt. And, if you perhaps wondered why Barenboim was wearing a cross on the left side of his jacket, it looks like the badge of the Order of the Dannebrog (look it up yourselves, it's easier than me having to explain it here)
Wow! Instant and sustained applause from the entire orchestra! You know when your fellow musicians applaud you that you nailed it. It is an uplifting and inspirational experience to hear this music. Bravo to Daniel Barenboim and to everyone involved.
Barenboim really understands Beethoven. Very few soloists, conductors, and orchestras truly understand Beethoven, but they get together like this it is magical.
I find your comment intriguing. As one who very much enjoy's listening to Beethoven's music, though confesses his ignorance of its nuances and the like, I would appreciate you elaborating on your views in this regard.
212. So, so you think you can tell Heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?
Wow! Who is this conductor? 1st time hearing this orchestra. When the conducts with dance you know it is the real deal. His total empathy with DB produces one of the best performances I have ever heard. I swan. Extra thanks to the production team, without you nothing. 29:26
I absolutely love ❤ the power and tranquility of the Royal Orchestra, and the piano - OMG. Daniel Borennboim's delivery is at times majestically bold, then peacefully serene. The dynamic contrasts are very well delivered and gratefully received. 👏👏👏👏👏💪😊
I dont know why Daniel is not always mentioned as one the greatest musicians and conductors to ever have lived? He is! Russian Jew raised in Argentina and for many decades, the world. Dr. James Goldberg
Cordialmente, Alejandro
Nicely done. I recently posted a video providing a scientific explanation for the circumstances that enabled Beethoven to have a massive increase his capacity to process variables between Symphony #2 and the Eroica. This is what made him the greatest composer.
Excellent recording of my favorite music for piano by Herr Beet Hoven (as he called himself). Barenboim's playing is SUPERB! He is a genuine treasure!👍 Superb production, too, guys--Thanks!👍
