Just visited and had a great time! We talked with the librarian and she showed us some photos. Everything was taken down so it was still cool to see everything as it exists in everyday life. (The house, storefronts, signage, decor, bridge cover etc). Also visited down the street at the ski slopes where they have the supposed original bridge cover being used as a storage shed. Also picked up some souvenir shirts from the general store!
OMFG because @2:50 I was laughing SO hard! Believe it or not, I LOVED those decorations too....and SO MUCH that I STILL have the original ones that we kids had in the 60's! Yes, my Mom bought them for ALL the seasons and Holidays! Too funny. @12:23 that is the most AWESOME view over your shoulder ! I had to stop and remember that you said they had 'it covered....'! Great video. I thought they had already filmed there, I had seen Jenna Ortega there on the set already. Richard
I'm from the UK and share your enthusiasm. I would love to visit!! Beetlejuice was such a huge part of my childhood. I wore out multiple VHS tapes from recording and watching it lol. That town is so atmospheric!

i have family cabins up in thopsam and we would drive thru the first location . loved the movie as a kid and was pumped to see these spots. good memories
36 years ago I was a projectionist when I was 17 and showed this in the UK and always wanted to go there. turns out that the cover on the house was intended as a mourning dress for the funeral and the pumpkin posts got stolen with Delia's sculpture. I now see what they meant by LAMPPOST being stolen lol as I thought "Why would you steal a lampost" I love your tour of it and you get right close.... I live in Hertfordshire where they shot SAVING PRIVATE RYAN and EYES WIDE SHUT (Kubrick lived here) I'll subscribe and share for you

I love filming locations, I just went to several Halloween (1978) locations in Pasadena last week and felt just like you did 😂 awesome video. Like you said, it really is a surreal feeling seeing this type of stuff

I don't have high hopes for this sequel, but I REALLY liked this video and your excitement! I was a kid when the original came out, so I can appreciate the nostalgia!
the house was rebuilt just for this movie, the first house was taken down because it was other for looks.. also the cover on the bridge was part of a ski lift when the first movie was done. the town wanted to keep it together, in some way they used half for the lift and the other half for a garage. The two buildings between the church and the hardware stores are just built for this movie. Just thought I'd share info.

Love the movie Beetlejuice! I know that the original Beetlejuice house was a facade built for the movie then torn down. I wonder if the new Beetlejuice house is going to be permanent and if it is not a facade ? Anyone know? Would be awesome if they left this one up after filming and therefore it would reel in visitors to the small town. Could be like a Beetlejuice museum!
I was there the same day he was...spotted myself twice in his vlog, lol It is a facade, the house isn't completed in the back, it's a full structure though. I walked up the road into town.
I am also very excited for the movie, I have been waiting over a decade for the sequel. And to see some of the stuff in the movie to get a sneak peek was very cool.❤😊

Since it's not a real house they will eventually take it down just like the bridge (which will be donated). At least that's what I heard because of potential liability issues. They probably still have it up in case they need to do reshoots.
Yeah, I realize that they can’t be liable for things with the sets, just in my heart, I was hoping that they would keep it up so I can go back and go inside it😂
@@DrewintheMoment Can't/Won't LOL yeah I agree I wish they would keep them around too. Like Luke's house in Tatooine. Yes it's been "fixed up" because of the elements but it's still there in Tunisia. But totally agree.

Love it guys! So glad you had a blast. ❤😊 Just a few miles from my parents home is where they shot the US Marshall’s airplane scene. The scene where Tommy Lee Jones throws Robert Downey Jr’s phone into the water is where I’ve been a bazillion times. The store they go into is an old store that closed ages ago when my dad was young and one of my classmates grandparents who lived in the attached home, are in the movie. Then the scene with Wesley Snipes in the Semi going across a bridge is a bridge I cross every time I visit my parents headed in opposite direction they are supposed to be going according to the movie. 😅
Very nice walk thru, been waiting for this movie for a long time. Looks like the sets may have been temporarily abandoned due to the strike. Very sad. Still looking forward to this.
That’s what I think it’s based on a Halloween episode two because I’ve been seeing a lot of Halloween stuff so either it’s gonna come out a Halloween during the time or sooner who knows
They won't be able to keep the house like you're saying that you wish they would at just before 10:53 that is just a speck house and it's not made to code so for liability reasons they absolutely could not leave it there after filming it will definitely come down sadly.🤷♂️👍✌️

Soo unfortunately filming will not continue any time soon. Due to the strike witch could last a very long time. Sadly this is the reality of said things it sucks. Wicked was finished with 10 days left and we won't get 2nd movie now because of the strike
Beetlejuice house is a half house so they can stick camera through and it has a net over it because the wood is probably not waterproof or have air conditioner coming through I saw a other youtube shot the other side and it just the frame part of the house so they will probably destroy it again so people might not know about Beetlejuice so they could be do a renew version or it could be flashbacks part when they are in Hawaii but we still don't know if that is true or not.
it is a shame they did not repair the actual building instead of building a façade in front of it. Would have added more value to the town but no doubt the $100M budget did not have any allowance for town improvement.
It's a shame they can't leave those structures especially the bridge that looks to be real sturdy, but they have to remove them for insurance purposes.(So they don't get sued in the future) The 80s are alive.😉
the reason all the stuff is left out is because Tim Burton has a bad habit of leaving props behind after filming.,,,case in point Batman 89...he left the whole gotham set there in engand
It was supposed to be released early next year but now that the town suffered damage from flooding and due to the strike that actors are doing it probably won't be released until late next year.
