Ingredients quantity
Oil 1 ½ tbsp
Asafoetida 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
Green chilli chopped 3 no
Dry red chilli 2 no
Black skinned split gram 1 ½ tsp
Beetroot boiled & cubed 3 no
Peanuts soaked & boiled 1 cup
Fresh coconut grated ½ cup
Curry leaves 5-10 no
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Fresh coriander chopped 2 tbsp
Coriander chopped for garnish
Method
1.Heat oil in a kadai over medium heat. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds,
chopped ginger, chopped green chilli, dry red chilli and black skinned split
gram sauté until it turns golden brown.
2.Add boiled beetroot, boiled peanuts, grated fresh coconut and curry
leaves sauté for 2-3 minutes until it softens slightly.
3.Now add salt and turmeric powder mix thoroughly.
4.Add chopped coriander and mix well gently.
5.Side out in serving bowl and garnish with freshly chopped coriander.
