It looks really good! I just bought an apartment for the first time, and it looks so bad, so now I have to renovate the entire thing, and I’m really excited to see how it turns out!
Great job, it looks fantastic. That is the magic of having pride in your place of dwelling. Unlike the people who lived there previously, they didn't deserve it.
Bahahaha if only you’d love mold and broken tiles. I’ll pass on that. We had to strip everything and rebuild and water proof. I mean we found 1955 razor blades down the wall beams.. but sure keeping it the old way would have been way better 😆
I know it’s an older video, but thanks for the motivation. My bathrooms a portion of the size of yours. And I’m currently starting the gutting process. I’ve been scared. But it’s worth it. I know if!!!!! 😂 yours is beautiful!!!!!
I was so sad my daughter and her husband bought a 1950s home with original pink tiled floors and walls in the bathroom and she took the floor tiles up and put marble down. She actually regretted it afterwards. I always say if it’s in good shape and all original, keep it! That being said your bathroom was clearly not all original. You did a nice job on your remodel, it looks way more cohesive than it did before. I love that you kept the tub!
Thank you!! 😊 The tiles behind the toilet were falling off and with everything being patch work tiles, it needed to go. The tub was definitely something we said was going to stay, we just resurfaced and coated it. 🙌🏼

OK , but why keep a huge window in a shower in view of other homes with NO privacy?? Glass block would have been a possibility or even some type of privacy glazing. Unless being seen naked is your thing....
We gave the new owner the option to pick what they wanted. This home wasn’t for us. If it was for us we would have done a high fence with a private lookout with a garden hidden from any roads etc.
I worked on a bathroom just like this one but instead of the tub we did a wrap around shower with a mosaic pattern 3/4 the way up the wall and then our main tile was this rectangular mixed stone tiles and it came out fantastic
That would be great and all but blame the people who lived in it prior and didn’t take care of it. Trying to clean and repair what was broken would take ages. Sometimes it’s best to redo the whole thing. Let the new owners create their own life and memories and make it their own along the way was a better option.
@@WePlusThreee dude, I am a minor with less than a 500 follower. You are a MOTHER with 100k followers. Surely you have better things to do than argue with people on the internet
Wow. I’ve seen so many 1950s houses with bathrooms like this. It seems like so many people have just sold their house and never waterproofed the bathrooms, even after that came in. And now the current owners can’t just do a superficial renovation, they have to rip everything out because there is water damage in the walls, and in some cases even the studs.
Uhhh….did you guys use cement board or sheet rock? You can’t sheet rock a bathroom you use cement board because it’s waterproof and sheet rock absorbs moisture which produces mold and damages its structural integrity
It looks great but if your builder went through all the trouble of tearing everything out and then not plumbing that shower wall for tile just kind ruins it for me. Any time you’re dealing with even rows or even columns you need completely level plumb and square or your eye catches it right away It’s not even very far out of plumb but it’s enough to be noticeable
Bad decision going with tile for the shower. People will learn one of these days. Just make sure you’re sealing that grout every 6 months or you’re gonna start getting mold and the grout will begin to crack and break down. Best of luck.

@@WePlusThreeeyes, I meant the woman's way of saying,"..this, become this,.." in the clip. Idk why it irks me but it just does.Sorry, not meant towards you. I love the transformation though. ❤
