Before I Slumber - PC 4k intro by KK/Altair (with most detail greatly destroyed by YouTube) 

That's exactly why I'm not really tempted to make a full-blown PC demo. But trying to make something nice in one shader, and fit it with music and code in a 4k - that's completely different thing. :)

Small demos are always impressive and small demos on PC always were the most impressive exactly because of their power and normally big binaries.

@@KKAltair Really beautiful but it makes my system suffer too much to maintain a constant 60fps. A Ryzen 3700 @ 4.8Ghz and a RTX 2070. It is because of this waste of resources that pc demoscene stopped interesting me. Aesthetically very beautiful and elegant in its presentation but the performance is not good. Maybe using Vulkan and not the outdated OGL would improve performance a lot. IMO. However, that all is fited in 4k is very impressive. Respect

@@KKAltair RU-vid bitrate is rubbish. If your system holds up :), try upload it in 4k (even if you need to rescaling while recording, it works)). YT's conversion for 4k / 60fps video is between 20,000 and 51,000 Kbps, while at 1080/60 it is only between 4,500 and 9,000 Kbps.

I'm a still active scener, so expect demoscene prods to pop up here from time to time. As well as maybe some bits of DIY stuff or music one day. But Dread should come next... with an ADF link, so you shouldn't be disappointed. :)

@@KKAltair That's what I thought when I read your "something special is in the works." Still, I'm very surprised. I mean, if I understand well an "Adf link" is a link to an adf file, the amiga disk file that works on winUAE, and it thus means a DREAD demo. I really look forward to visiting Dread's world.

@@KKAltair :) Just wondering, do you have any favourite demos on systems like C64 etc.? For example, I have always loved Deus Ex Machina by Crest/Oxyron, Wonderland XII by Censor, Mathmatica, Black lotus, Space Balls on Amiga etc. Did any demo/intro in particular inspire your intro?

@@plume... My all time favourite is Enigma by Phenomena (Amiga OCS). On C64, I didn't knew about the demoscene back in the days, but now Mathebatica is awesome. But my intro is inspired by the unsetting paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński - google his art, if you don't know him. :)

Yeah, YT butchered everything. I might reupload it in 4k one day - if you change settings to 4k, then even on a 1080p monitor it looks much much better thanks to the added bandwidth.

Dzięki! :) Muzyka akurat dość tania wyszła - z 400 bajtów mniejsza od muzy z Then & Before.

Uruchomione było na party na jakimś mocarnym GTXie. Zgrywane na 980M - offline, klatka po klatce 60 FPS dla najwyższej jakości (którą RU-vid zmasakrował kompletnie).

Thanks! :) It depends on how fast you would like to run it. I made it using GeForce 980M and it runs quite well most of the time, except some scenes (notably: destruction ones).

@@KKAltair Your GPU card is at least 3x faster than 5700G APU, so it make sense now why its slow on my PC.
