My mom used to say that when I was five years old, i was already telling people that I wanted to be a wife and a mommy. I am 65 now and never married, no kids and I have never lived with anyone. I also have a twin sister that did get married and had kids. When my biological clock was ticking it was very hard for me, but I survived. I still desire a companion, but I'm pretty Set in my ways :-) I learned that Godliness with contentment, is great gain. I truly have been blessed.

I didn’t believe in “the one”..... that was until I met “my soul mate”.... there is no way I can find someone else like him. When you wait on God.... he will provide “the one”... I think many singles will subscribe to #1 because it’s easier to believe. We can’t seem to understand how God will make it happen. God sent my hus-bae all the way from Europe just for me... so I know it was only God. He didn’t even know why God told him to come to the United States. He was obedient... he didn’t even understand why God told him to learn English (native French speaker). He gave himself 1 year to learn English... and perfected English in 8 months. Singles.... please be teachable... I was walking like I was married way before my love showed up. My house was always clean, I cooked for two and I was preparing in many ways for him. When he showed up I was not fully ready but to be honest I was already preparing. God knows our story from beginning to end... so, of course, there is “the one” we just have to be aligned with God to recognize them.... and it’s never who you think it’s going to be lol... But it will also be everything that you didn't know you needed.

It was actually on IG...I met him a while back on IG, we began following each other for business purposes only....we never spoke for months but simply followed each other. I knew he was in Europe and, to be honest, he was not "my type" nor did he made a pass at me... but there was something VERY different and genuine about him (I remember when I first saw his page I said to myself...I would love to meet this man....I could learn so much from him). Months later, I was scrolling through my timeline when I noticed that he was in DC (typical monument pictures)...I commented under his photo because I was so shocked to see that he was in my city...I mean what are the odds (I never told him where I lived and he had a business meeting in DC). I inboxed him saying "welcome to America...If you are ever in DC again, let me know" (this was so unlike me...I never inbox anyone). We kept in contact via IG and a week later he messages me saying, "I had no intentions on coming back to DC, but I feel like I need to meet you". Later I found out that he was asking God daily..." why did you send me to this country". His business allowed him to work anywhere in the world and the meeting in DC was not worth traveling to the United States. Since the day we've met we have been inseparable. I have to admit initially even when God told me he was the one...I was not having it (I thought I was not ready and this man intimidated me...he had his whole life together and here I was trying to figure my life out after a "failed" business). But even in the midst of my confusion...God had me preparing for marriage...I never told anyone because I thought people would think I was crazy lol. Most people would have said, "girl why are you preparing for marriage when you need to figure out your career". But I now understand why God removed everything from me. I would have been way too busy to recognize the man he had for me. There are so many more details to our meeting that gives God all the glory but this message is long enough lol. I don't think I'll ever get to the point where I believe that Hus-bae is actually a human being. I am convinced that he is an Angel pretending to be a human. My life has always been very interesting from childhood to adulthood and I honestly didn't think there would be a man that truly understood my pain, hurt and fears without me even speaking. He is so intuned with me that even when we are apart he is able to feel when I am not ok. For many reasons I now believe in "The one"...God does not make mistakes...God is progressive...God finishes our story then he goes back to the beginning to help us stay on the path he created. I also believe in RECOMPENSE (the devil will have to pay YOU for every hurt and pain that we have endured). If my husband could create a machine to ensure that I never walk on the ground....he would. But...that's how much God loves us...He will send us a man that his only objective is to OUTLOVE us on a daily basis.

Forget the ring I can't even get into a good relationship or any relationship to think about getting married. My biggest problem is that I want to be married before I have sex, which is a problem for men. 36 and a virgin is not very high on the dating scale. But I pray that God will send the right one for me

I know that GOD gives me the desires of my heart so I know someday HE will Bless me with my husband. Sis I believe that God honors all marriage, and there are many couples who are born and destined to be together. My husband and I have know each other since age 15 and we married in our twenties and have been married for 21 years. After 5 years of marriage we we're ready for children but learned that we had infertility issues. We stood on our faith and was Blessed with 3 wonder children!!! So, you are correct sis no matter what challenges are going to come, but they help you to grow and make your marriage stronger!!! I am young, but I know that I was called to be a wife. This video really helped me to prepare now while I wait for the man that God gives me. It gets kind of hard sometimes because not many young people want to be in a God-centered, committed, and intentional relationship like I do, but I know God hears my desires and will bring them to fruition.
I think there's something powerful about seeking God and being fully devoted to Him as a single woman, while also being vulnerable and real with Him in prayer and fasting about your desire to be in a relationship and be married. I feel like that surrendered heart to God is great preparation for marriage. I don't think many people are aware that the issues between you and God will be reflected in your marriage. Example: if i have trouble believing that God will provide for me, I will likely also have trouble believing that my husband will provide for me. Also, I am reading this book called A Gentle and Quiet Spirit by Virginia Lefler and it has been getting me together. It is helping me grasp what God sees as beautiful in me and I'm trying to implement those things in my marriage. I would definitely recommend it! Great video and congrats!

God does both! He creates/handcrafts spouses for people and he plays matchmaker for those who could work well together. There is 1 major thing that determines this, and that is purpose! You are on earth to fulfill a purpose, Adam was given Eve, not only because it's not good for man to be alone, but he needed help with the new dominion he was given, i.e. naming the animals. Every saved person has a position in the body to build the kingdom. That could be ministry, YT, helping the homeless, making Christian movies, all the way to crusades and churches etc. The greater the call, the more likely you will have what the world would call "soul mates" (term unbiblical). Why, because you will need help fulfilling your great purpose to build the kingdom of God. Some people's purposes are so massive, they won't be called to a spouse at all! I.E. Kathryn Kulhman. So the greater the call, the more custom the mate. If one does not have this type of calling, they won't require a crafted mate. If you are a Christian that doesn't plan on living for Christ wholeheartedly (with Godly purpose), or decide that you want to have a regular life where you don't even attempt to evangelize, or build those around you (in your circle), most likely, your spouse will not be crafted. He will be someone who wants to live a similar life. Why? You won't need as much help fulfilling a call. We all have calls & assignments to the kingdom, but most Christian's turn them down. God knows how you live your life and what you will choose before he formed you, so that's how he determines whether you need a crafted spouse or not.

This is so true... I just got married to my better a month after your marriage to your better half, and I did all these things before finding or should I say recognizing my husband. I can say he maxed out my pray list to God and then some with the exception of my physical wants... But OMG when I say I found love... He loves me right and so well... the shallowness of my physical wants disappeared. I believe God can prepare anyone to be a soulmate. I dont think theirs just 1, once your agenda lines up w/ someone elses, u2 can grow as soulmates. (Discern the spirit)
True, too many people get caught up on this "phrase" its not biblical and people are dissolving marriages because they have now met their soulmate. The truth is that if you're married, whether he or she is what you think you ought to have, that person is now your soulmate for life.
There are certain fews that God crafts for one person. These are typically people called to large platforms of some sort. Why? Because marrying someone who is just "compatible" and not crafted can RUIN the call! Marriage is not just about covenant, it's a helpmate to reach a purpose that would be harder to reach alone (though not impossible).
The Word, in James 1 says to let patience have her perfect work, that when she is complete, you will lack nothing. I stand on God's. Word as it pertains to future husband, reciting this verse. Also, I want to be that Godly woman designed just for him. I know what you mean when you say to lower your expectations because being of one unit in marriage, you build by working together-and that is only thru God. Only within the last couple years have I been able to say that I truly enjoy being single. I am free to discover myself and my interests. I have two degrees, have traveled, and yes even dating myself. I remember two years ago I got all dressed up for my birthday and took myself out to eat at a nice restaurant. The table had all this fancy silverware and plates on it. The waiter asks me, 'are you waiting on someone to join you?' When I told him I was dining alone, omg he took all the plates and silverware off that table!! The table was seated for four persons. ! The noise was so loud from the clatter I thought he was gon break something!!! I promise if there had been candles on the table, he woulda blew them out too!!! Lord, I digress, its gon be alright tho!!! Anyways nice video❤

I've been single for 12 years. It has its ups and downs. Definitely better the last 2 years than anytime before. I've had time to develop a lot, praise be to God. Not that God is our genie, ABSOLUTELY NOT, but I have my dream job, just finished a spring semester at Juilliard, and most importantly, my faith in the Lord has deepened and grown significantly from where it was years ago. If it's the Lord's will, I will meet (or see again) "the one" at some point in my life. If not, I'll live. At the present moment, I do find myself feeling a touch of loneliness but it'll be alright. I met a lovely young man 5 years ago. It was a surreal experience that I cherish to this day. However, I haven't seen him since September 2014, nor have we been in touch since February 2015. It's a stretch to hope that our paths will cross again but, deep down inside, it's my hope that they will... only if it's truly God's will for that to happen. I often try to remember how God has answered prayers in the past and how it was above all I could ask or think. If it's the Lord's will for me to be married, He will do the same in this area of my life as well. If not, my life will go on :-)

Thanks for the vid Mary !!!The other day when I entered a mom & pop store, there was a group of middle aged men at the checkout. They asked me my requirements when it comes to a potential husband. One of the first things I said was that the man MUST have a real, personal relationship with God. They laughed at me and asked "So that means ur husband must be a pastor !" I was like no, well not unless I am ordered by God to be with one. The discussion was truly a blessing in disguise. One of them even bragged about cheating and said that there are very few faithful men that exist. I left feeling a little bit discouraged, however it kept me back in line as to why prayer is always soo important!
Single for three years and I'm loving it, growing, learning, loving myself whilst strengthening my relationship with God. Many people look at it as a curse but my prayer is that God's name will be glorified in my singleness. Marriage is not a certificate of achievement but rather a covenant for God's glory. So many singles are rushing to get married, settling for just about anyone only to enter the union wishing they never rushed. I believe that God wants to do so much in our singleness if only we allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in us. God is preparing us in our season of singleness and for what is yet to come. I don’t believe that there is only one person for you and they’re out there in Australia for example far away and that’s why you’re still single. Rather, I believe out of the people around you and the opportunities and places you go, God places a few people before you and depending on God’s timing, one of them will be “the one”

I feel that a soul mate feels forced in a way, like you had no choice in the matter, and God does force me to love Him, why would he force me to love someone else. I believe perspective 2. I have been praying for a spouse for 12 years and in that time, I can say I wasnt ready the whole time, but God molded me into a proverbs 31 woman. I have not been just sitting and praying. I just finished school, have a career, own my own home now, and most of all have grown and still growing spiritually in God. But honestly now I'm wondering if God has a husband for me. At this point it's not even my faith failing... its the thought that I really think maybe God doesnt have marriage for me because I literally see, feel , or experience nothing except God saying that He has already given me everything I need. So because I hear that all the time I'm wondering because I definitely desire marriage. Guess we ll see.

God knows the entire span of our life ... of course there’s many people we’re compatible with , just like there’s endless opportunities of clothes to buy ... in both situations the Lord knows what you’ll end up with ... another example there’s a variety of choices of cars to buy , but the Lord even in that situation knows which one you’re gonna get ... i think it depends on who’s perspective you’re looking from ... he knows the One for you despite you testing the waters of multiple relationships

I've been trying to get some around me to understand that when it comes to singles there are those who tend to have a old school mentality of just be single and wait for GOD. However, there needs to be conversation on how to do that. Also , there are different single seasons. Some are single not looking just focused on GOD and growing self, some are looking, then there are those who are single and dating someone that GOD brought to them and they need to know how to have a CHRIST centered relationship. Wow, I almost didn’t watch this video, nothing personal at all but more a reflection of the mental space I’m in. I’ve been in such a frustrated place. You read my mind when you said about asking God why me? Who is it me that always has to go through stuff? Honestly, it’s like you’ve been eavesdropping on my convos with God. Abi Sola I’m so glad it was encouraging☺️I believe this a demonstration of why it’s so important that we share our experiences and not just keep the parts that are glamorous... Others need to know that they aren’t alone and that God will absolutely cause them to overcome their season of disappointment. Stay encouraged! God will blow your mind with the things he has in store for you if you continue to allow him to do what’s necessary prior to the blessing coming🤗🙏🏾❤️

MARY!!!!!! When ypu said god puts you in a place to be humble I almost jumped out of my seat. When I tell you he broke me down for almost five years and I felt every single thing I really did. I got rid of people who meant me no good thanks to him I cleared my vision so he could give me what I need. I believe that if we allow God to write our love story and trust Him with it and wait on Him... He will bring the person who will help us run for the Lord...I believe He is out there. I believe in perspective #2 but God is able to provide another if the person passes away.

I couldn't ask for a better video as this, i really needed this advise going through preparation for marriage an not meeting the guy as yet or not even dating, most of what you mention the lord is already led me to do, which i thought was weird preparing an no date.
