Good Job. I like all of your caveats. It's tough to compare, serious target shooters who have been shooting Anschutz for years (over 40 years for me) will always go with Anschutz. What would I compare Anschutz to? Well I would compare it to a Feinwerkbau even the Winchester 52D would be useful for proper comparison.
Serious shooters will only choose one of those and, it won’t be the CZ. Cz as a cheaper plinker and short range hunter, sure( better than all or most US made rifles) but, the Anschutz is in another class. A Chevy and a Mercedes Benz will both get to to the supermarket and back but, you wouldn’t compare the two. Compare the CZ with a savage, Winchester, Remington or Ruger and you have a winner.
I have these two rifles and love them both. As far as which is the he best deal it wholly depends what you are going to use it for. They are both very accurate however the MPR64 IS A BENCH RIFLE. THE ANSCHUTZ 64 MPR is one of the finest most accurate .22’s ever made, however it is not a hunting rifle and is 10lbs.5oz with the Weaver T-36 scope ie(try carrying this for even one hr.)🥴 Anschutz and CZ have both stopped offering either of these rifles 🙄 That is how old this video is🤣
Not that the CZ is a bad rifle but, the Anschutz is the better rifle. Anschutz 1710 provides 50 metre groups, inside of 1/2 inch all day long. No CZ has made it to the Olympics. There
I shot sporter class with a 1710 anchutz bull barrel. I stayed in the high 240ties. I even shot a perfect 250 once. I also had a C.Z American and any given day it might out shoot my 1710. It was extremely accurate for what it was but it couldn't beat my 1710 very often.
on another video a guy was saying the match barrels are made with extremely tight chambers, so bullets sometimes don't want to extract if casing is not perfect it recommends only match ammo in the barrel.
The bbl profile at the receiver is much better on the CZ 452. I'd put my 452 FS against the 64 series Anschutz any day. For an average shooter my 1710 DKL shoots marginally better than the 452 FS. I'd also rather shoot the FS over my 64 series Anschutz. Bought my 64 Annie 50 years ago.
I own a CZ 457 and Annie 1761 MPR, with all respect, as you noted, your shooting ability did not do the Annie justice. You can’t compare these 2, the 1761 is vastly superior
Yup Cz makes a awesome gun My 455 luxe in Turkish walnut is a thing of beauty. Shit I used to have a Remington 581 that would outshoot a lot of high end 22,s.
yes yes anschütz is suuuuuper overrated, i would say just give them away for free to me, so you dont get your hands dirty on those dirty anschütz :D :D *irony off* there is a reason why anschütz is the most used .22 in europe for competition shooting and biathlon etc.
Anschutz 64 has the cheaper action that’s why I only have the superior 54 Anschutz action. I’ve owned both Anschutz actions, 54 & 64 action, and the 54 action is better quality and more accurate in my experience.
Well if someone can's shoot straight, it does not really matter. for shooting crows around the house, I would go for the cheap CZ. no need for cleaning after every time it is used and you can put it in a corner of the barn for when you need it.
Your rest setup and shooting style dont allow for an accurate judge of precision shooting thusly almost any solid bolt actioin rimfire rifle you shoot will give you the same results even a cheap mossberg plinkster cooey unless the triggerpull is horrendous.
if money is a concern and you are not into serious competition, stick with the cheaper rifle. For serious, really serious shooters, an Anschutz, a Feinwerkbau or a Walther is is a better choice. I shoot two "Annies" a 15 lbs. M1913 single shot and a Sporter M1914D repeater that is very light at about 6.5 lbs.(both weighed without a scope).
