Keep the videos coming. Looking forward to the 20 pull-ups in your plate carrier video. Can’t be afraid to use foam plates though. Semper Fidelis.

Just happened across this vid & have to say - Nail On Head sir!! The small harness should be considered size Medium & so forth in most cases.

I wish to have one of these. Edit: I love the standard harness, the other harnesses that they offer for the AVS looks uncomfortable, I wouldn't even buy them just to upgrade if I own one.

thanks for the video. two questions: 1. is the medium cover suitable for a small belt? 2. what kind of backpack is on the back cover?

I have a 45" chest, 34" waist, and I'm 5'5". Being vertically challenged, I want to utilize the benefits of the AVS carrier(optimal weight distribution), but don't want it to be too big in the chest or too long to obstruct draw stroke or interacting with my belt. I called Crye and got some lady advising me to go off the chart. She was friendly but didn't seem to know too much on advice or experience. Debating on getting the medium to be able to use AVS carrier with and without a jacket also. It sucks not being able to see these different sizes side by side...

I’m 72” 270lbs with a 38sized waist what size Ava harness would you recommend? I’m definitely more of the big chest, big arm body type guy. I use XL SAPI plates in my XL JPC 1.0 but looking at getting the avs for more load.

I think the medium definitely should still fit with room to spare. I sadly don't have any experience with the harness in a Large, but I'd imagine one would need to be getting over 42 inch waist before needing to consider one of those.

Im about 70' and 235 lbs 38 waist - still go with the small harness and LG plate bags? And side pouches are those? Crye? Are they able to hold 6x6 plates? Great review DD
@7SixTwo
@7SixTwo 2 года назад
I'm about the same at 73" 225lbs and a 45" chest which would put me at almost an xl according to their website. But it seems like medium might be it.
@j2185op
@j2185op 2 года назад
@@7SixTwo Roger that - I was looking into getting the MD harness and LG plate bags, worst case ill send it back and wait for the small
@TheGoodSirKnight

I think 38 waist is around where I'd start considering moving from the small harness to the medium one. That's closer to my buddy's body style and he was able to wear the medium harness. As for the plate bags, they will be sized to whatever plates you own. The GP pouches are from Crye and are not made for side plates; although they do make side plate pouches.

Is it possible to have a medium harness with large plate bags?
@TheGoodSirKnight
@TheGoodSirKnight Год назад
Absolutely. The plate bag is sized to the plates, and the harness is sized to the person. Any combination should work.
@joshuast.pierre564
@joshuast.pierre564 Год назад
How are the plate bags? Would 10x12 plates mean a large bag?
@TheGoodSirKnight
@TheGoodSirKnight Год назад
The plate bags have a little stretch to them, so 10x12 should fit really well in a large plate bag.

What is your chest size? I'm 5'9", 194lbs, with 33" waist and 44" chest. I had planned on getting a medium, but now i'm not too sure...
@williammcdonald519
@williammcdonald519 2 года назад
The sizing on their website would say your a large. it's done by chest size.
@tomgledhill7
@tomgledhill7 2 года назад
@@williammcdonald519 Yea, but what @TheGoodSirKnight is saying in this video is that the crye sizing can't be trusted.
@TheGoodSirKnight
@TheGoodSirKnight 2 года назад
Yeah man, I'm just about the same height at a 43" chest and the small is the best fit. A medium would probably still be way too big. I think a small is gonna be the way to go.

The plate bags themselves should be the same size as your sapis, so get medium plate bags.
