I just received Oud Bouquet yesterday and turned around and ordered another bottle immediately. It is rich, refined, and lush - very elegant. I have always disliked rose perfumes as they always make me think of an old lady. This, however, is superb. If you want to smell like a classy lady with loads of money, this is it! I highly recommend it. I own perfumes that cost more than twice as much, and this beats them all. This perfume is going to bring out the best in you. You will get dressed like a lady to match the elegance of this perfume.

You’re glowing Brit! 💕Shagaf Oud smells so good but it gave me the worst headache 🤕 but I love it so much I couldn’t part with it and the gold bottle looks so pretty on my vanity. I’ll give the Oud Bouquet a try.

Thank you for the comparison. I just ordered the Arabian Swiss Oud. Can't wait to receive it. Like I tell family and friends don't sleep on the dupe/knock off. Bcs, I live in the Northeast region this fragrance should perform beautifully due to the sharp cold weather.

Oh that sound like it would smell divine! I thought about the idea of wearing this in the hot heat, especially since the Swiss Arabian is an Arabian fragrance and the climate there is very warm! I may have to try it out! Thanks for sharing!

I certainly agree with your review. I have both and do rather have a decant of Lancome Oud Bouquet and keep the Shaghaf Oud. If you are not into oud, don't blind buy because they are strong especially Swiss Arabian.

I got Shaghaf Oud because I’m not an oud lover, so it made sense for me to get the cheaper alternative. I hated Lancôme when I smelled it because of the oud. It’s definitely not for the heat...too cloying! Love your videos🥰

Update on my comment, I've since purchased both. I returned the original (which hurt my snobbish heart) and kept Shaghaf Oud. I found the Lancome intolerably sweet. I actually found it gross and couldn't stand it. I also didn't find that it performed that well on me. I have another Maison Lancome that is like nothing I own and kept that. Your review is spot on.

I like how u explain the fragrances. I’m not a huge praline person I love gourmands but sometimes praline notes over time become too sweet on me and make me want to puke I love strong perfumes and vanilla so I’m going to try to Swiss Arabian I am middle eastern myself so I’m used to stronger oud scents I feel like the Lancôme is better for oud beginners who dnt want strong scent

i just smelled oud bouqet in a store and i fell head over heels in love. never smelled anything more beautiful. and how stunning is the bottle??? i wish i could buy it but im in uni and i can’t afford it so i’ll try shaghaf oud and buy lancome when i graduate. i actually really love the sweetness of oud bouqet, i think oud needs that softer smell to balance it out and keep the headaches away, but hopefully i love shaghaf too and it fills the void!!

Concerning Shaghaf Oud. On me the praline comes out after a couple of hours. So it does develop :) Maybe not as nuanced as OB, but it does develop a little bit in my opinion. I was concerned the sharpness would never step down, but thankfully it did. I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing OB yet, so I am not able to compare, I can only write about my experience with Shaghaf Oud, so far :)

Sometimes your favorite notes are the top notes so a fragrance that doesn't change as it dries is sometimes the way to go. Out of curiosity, did you buy your Oud Bouquet this year? I understand the formulation has changed and it's not as strong/nice now. I'm definitely not one for gourmand fragrances. I don't like sticky sweet. Great comparison! I'm a girl like you, I'd opt for the expensive one simply because I'm not really into dupes. That said, some dupes are a revelation.

I agree please try sample boxes and a subscription like scentbird I also use to use luxury scentbox because it can get expensive real quick when you are first really get into perfumes I learned the hard way. Try not to blind buy to avoid spending unnecessary money while you figure out what scent notes you like😁😁

I bought Shagaf Oud after listening to Keiko Beauty NYC rave about it. I'd never smelled an oud fragrance before so I decided to give it a chance and at $37 what have got to lose. It's ok and I'm going to retry in the fall/winter to see if it woos me then. I'll sample Oud Bouquet to see if I like that one before I shell out $200. Tfs💕

I prefer the swiss arabian. It smells better to me and I have great longevity when wearing it. Its doesn't take much at all. Always get compliments when wearing it. It has double in price over the year. Amazon it's $70. It will always be a staple in my collection.

I found it!!!! I was desperate to find it again. After the first bottle, I bought it more than 2 years ago and I didn't know what I was getting my hands on. When I saw that the perfume in the bottle was slowly disappearing, I looked everywhere for a new bottle and couldn't find it. I was fooling myself a few times because I was going to buy from obscure websites, but in the end I found it exactly in the store I had asked several times in Berlin. I think they had no idea they still had it. and I found two bottles, not just one, and I bought both of them, and I also found L'Atre Oud from the first edition !!!!! I bought all 3 and came home drunk with happiness. I am happy that I did not buy Shagaf Oud

Oud bouquet is easier to digest in my opinion (well, the new formulation lol). I think it is less sharp than shagaf oud and it is a toned down Oud.

sweet isn't for me so I would definitly go for Shaghaf Oud.

Shaghaf is sweet too, just in a different way. I recommend trying Shaghaf first due to the price point.

have you tried Mancera's RoseAoud & Musc i think its so similar to lancome's Oud bouquet

Also, you mentioned layering. I wonder how it would smell if layered the Shagaf with Kayali Vanilla!? Have you ever layered your Kayali Vanilla with any of your other fragrances?

Oooh I like where you're going with this! However, I don't think the Kayali would stand a chance in the mix because the Swiss Arabian is so strong! I have mixed Kayali with soooo many though. Any time I need more sweetness to a citrus or rose, I add it.

Brittany I PocketsandBowsTV I thought that as well but I’m trying to do anything to calm the Shagaf 😂😂! If possible, can we get a video on which perfumes you love to layer?! You’ve definitely helped me up my fragrance game ❤️ I’m still loving the Creed Princess Oud.

Brittany I PocketsandBowsTV Hey Brit, I had to come back and share how I finally figured out how to get Shagaf Oud to work for me. I purchased MFK L’eau A La Rose and I layered that with the Shagaf Oud and OMG 🤤 It smells amazing and I didn’t get a headache at all! Thanks so much ❤️
