How much is a subscription for the Curve's Portal?
@wsi_radios
@wsi_radios 9 месяцев назад
So sorry for the extended delay in responding here! Right now, the subscription is free until further notice. We do not know what the expected subscription model will be once purchases are required, but we do know that these will be a seat license to purchase available "seats" and you will not be required to purchase a license for every radio or user in your roster.

Thanks Dustin for your great videos on the new Curve. I am the owner of a new hospitality venue and one question I'd appreciate your view on is if I install a fleet of Curves in my venue, is there the capability for me to communicate remotely to the venue through the radios/wifi calling if I am not onsite. Eg I am at home miles away and want to be able to communicate to my managers or staff who are all working together at the venue. Thank you, Alex

Hi Alex, thank you for the kind words! That is a really good question. These radios still communicate over traditional two-way radio technology, so the short answer is no. You CAN send and receive voice messages using wi-fi regardless of location, however in order to have a two-way conversation your radios have to be in range of one another. I hope this helps!

@@wsi_radiosSo they only work on the same WiFi network? I could see trying these in a delivery restaurant if the drivers used a hotspot in their car.

@RKingis you can utilize multiple wifi networks for the voicemail features, you'll just need to be in radio-to-radio range for standard PTT communication

@@wsi_radiosHow fast does the VM alert go out, when on a different network?

You can set intervals in the radio for how frequently it checks for new messages. Anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours

Motorola CLP series are better for a large area than these 900mhz
@wsi_radios
@wsi_radios Год назад
Thanks for the comment. In our experiences, in real life scenarios, the 900 MHz performs best when in and around obstructions. UHF (analog) bands, such as the CLP, can transmit further in a line of sight scenario in some cases, however it's rare that this is the actual use case.
