There's one place with Swedish radio's will not work. Fry root 6 going from Manhattan. Actually you Manhattan new York to upstate new York try route 6 with these radios. They're basically low sell connection. There which means these radios are piece of paper waked. Being that they don't have an off grid solution for these radios like frs or GMRS or ham radio. These radios are nothing worth if you work revolves about. Revolves around route 6 going from Manhattan new York to upstate new York. If you're on a route 6 and your job requires that man. Your screwed also another place you would be screwed. The Adirondack going from New York new york Manhattan. Basically to Canada that's another place you would be screwed. Because there's no soul coverage there and if there is it a miracle that he put it there? Anyway just want to fill you in on places that these radios aint going to work. Unless a miracle happens. Because these radios don't work off grid. Unless? You have a cable internet connection. Or satellite connection or one of those forget? About these radio's working because it aint going to work. It's a paper. Wait. So I strongly suggest Motorola to put in AGM s or FRS radio into these radios and to make sure that they can work at least. 3 to 6 miles. In those areas. Otherwise it's not worth your money. Because of grid it's a requirement if you going if you work in route 6 from going from New York new york to upstate or going into the. Aderondax in. From New York to Canada? If you're in the Adirondack's? You. Can? Forget. About a cell signal unless a miracle happens. And these 2 places have sell coverage because the solar providers put them there. If a miracle happens you'll have the radio's working but. Again? As we say don't rely on miracles. Get yourself on provider to put up a tower in those areas.
If you're in a place like let's say the Swiss Alps or something like that it aint gonna work in a Swiss Alps these radios. Unless you have a Hamlet since or GMRS or FRS or emerce radio unless you have one of that plugged into the rainfall. Fios guess guess what that radio aint gonna work in a Swiss Alps? No won't so either one of those frequency radios also needs to be added into this radio otherwise it will never work off grid. An off grid is what these radios should be working also these radio. She either have a ham license FRS or GMRS which of course requires a license or Mars. What happ What happened on? What happens if the whole grid goes out? What happens if the whole grid goes out then? What's gonna work FRS will work sure GMR So work um nursery work and maybe even ham radio?
Ladies and gentlemen. Ladies and gentlemen I'll give you places these radio's wont-work oh. If you want places that these radios wont-work well give you route 6 going from New York new york to upstate New York and the adironic mountains. Going from New York to Canada. It has to be put in this radio that you're having right then and there. Because? Otherwise. You're radio is. A piece of junk? So those are 2 places these radios probably wont-work again route 6 going from New York new york to upstate New York as well as New York new. York going to the Adirondacks and Canada once we went to at a rock next one to hit. The Adirondacks chances are you're radio wont-work the way to come back? This is GMRS. Or FRS or mirrors limited range of course but at least you have a radio and they need to put it into this. So anyway a radio like this a radio like this has mers or g m r s or f r s although the ranges li So anyway a radio like this a radio like this has mers or GMRS or FRS although the ranges limited that's fine or even hammering radio.
A very good presentation on the subjectmater, i found this video after searching the Motorola VT100, intriguing the benefit of owning the data as opposed to having your data being potentially withheld at a time of need. This feature puts Motorola in my mind at the top of list for consideration. Thanks for this informative video
You will need to reset the TLK100 through the WAVE portal. If you do not have access to the portal or need help feel free to reach out to us at info@wirelessradios.com
So does this work just like a Nextel? Cross country and out of country? I was able to talk to my people in Europe with our Nextels when they traveled over there. Does this radio work like that? Are you the service provider or who would that be?
The WAVE TLK series works similarly to Nextel. It uses current cellular network infrastructure in the US to communicate radio to radio via LTE or WIFI.
Great comparison! I think Digital R2 is far better than the analog ones. 1. Is the new R2 a DMR radio ? 2. Does it require a license ? 3. Does it use repeaters anthenas over the city to get extended coverage in transmitted signal ? even to communicate across cities ? Thanks.
1. Yes 2. Depends on where you are but likely yes 3. It can, or it can be programmed for simplex operation or both 4. Yes, with an IP site connect system
These are only registered for one carrier per country. You can always try by taking apart the radio and swapping sim cards, but please be aware that this may void the warranty, and there is no guarantee that the device will connect.
Hello WS I have a question, and my question is that if I can use the Motorola APX radio but I'm not licensed I don't have any radio license so what do I need to operate them? And If I program them I can use them without license?
Management is offered by the reseller that you purchased the radios through. You can also get access to do this yourself if desired. Please reach out to us and we'll be happy to connect you with somebody!
This comparison was superb! Incredible helpful as I am shopping for a set of walkie talkies. It's difficult to know what model to go with... should I get digital v. analog... etc. You have helped me immensely. Thank you!
The easiest way is to install a repeater. With that said, the RDU4100 was recently discontinued, so your best solution would be to start introducing some digital radio models (such as the CP100D) to improve your radios' range. More info on that model here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1YLaweVjSPw.html
I bought the MiuFly, clipped it onto the collar of a button up shirt, shakey video, bounces around as I walk. Thinking I need a heavy shirt with a shoulder strap and a elastic band below to secure the lower end of the camera in place. Where do I get one of those in a 4x or 5x size?
Thanks for the comment. Are you looking for a shoulder harness for our cameras, or for the camera selection that you purchase previously? We only support Motorola Solutions products, so if it's for the alternative brand, sorry to say that we cannot assist.
I'm thinking of restaurant drivers...... I'm wondering if these could be used while delivering, if they use their phone as a hotspot with the same WiFi credentials, and a VPN on the company network. Unfortunately, leaving voicemail kinda defeats the purpose of using them for remote communication. Could be interesting though for say marking an order delivered straight in the POS. That way you hav an actual timestamp.
Great input and ideas. For this use case, we would most likely recommend the TLK series radios which include similar functions for what you're looking for with a 4G LTE connection. These offer GPS tracking as well for location mapping and historical data!
We're assuming that the model number is in either White or Green? If so, this is an older model that uses a series of beeps, and these are a good bit more difficult to program. There are steps in the user manual to walk through this process.
@@wsi_radios White it is. We were never happy with these anyway. We have different freqs. than the software allowed so their use was limited. The dealer we bought them from went out of business and we tried one other who literally told us to go somewhere else.
The older RDU radios aren't the easiest to manually program, but it can definitely be done... We're sorry you've ran into these issues. We offer several other radio options that are compatible with the RDU radios, which are now discontinued. If you'd like to reach out to us, we're happy to get you in something that better fits your needs!
So can the R2 radios be programmed to be analog? I work for a production company and we stick with analog because we used to get really bad delays with digital radios.
Are you able to tell me the purpose of the slider button on the side ? We got issued them at work I’ve asked leadership no one knows the answer :) thanks
Hi Erica, This is a "button" that you can assign a function to. If nobody assigned a function, then the slide will not do anything. If this had a function, then somebody who purchased the cameras would be able to tell you because they had to pick. We hope this helps!
Yes, they are! They offer public and private groups, one-to-one calls, and a private reply feature just like the DTR radios. Thank you so much for the kind words.
The TLK110 is plenty rugged, the only question would be if you have cell coverage in these areas. Since these are LTE based, if you don't get any signal at all they will not work and we would recommend a traditional radio. If you're in an area where you can still send out a text message, the TLK110 will work in that environment. If not, we would suggest looking at something like the R2 or the SL300
Most radios will not receive unless they're turned on. We do have a radio with voicemail available that could work for you, which uses wi-fi enhancements to achieve this. Would this interest you?
