Well Holy Mackerel! I am 64 years old and that was the first time anyone has shown me how to deal with my under eye bags. Every sales rep at every major cosmetics counter just sold me a concealer and told me to put it under my eyes which, of course, emphasized the bags. Bless you!

The tip about only putting the lightest shade on those dark crease areas IS GENIUS!! I tried this today and it looks FANTASTIC! So much better than usual when I cover the entire under eye area with the concealer! THANK YOU! How crazy I'd never heard of this before.

Exactly right! My husband grows his beard out for about four-five months, then he looks 15 years younger when he shaves. And, as long as he doesn’t let it grow too long, he still looks younger than me! I need to try this technique now!

Ok I’m a 40+ girl and I remember my out the door because I was late was just a touch of mascara. Well I did that the other day to go to the grocery store and I seen someone I knew and got asked if I was sick? ‘You look so tired, like you don’t feel good!’ Goodness what a few years will do to ya... and one crappy 2020 year! Thanks for finally telling everyone that putting concealer on the whole bag only made it more pronounced. From the time I first started wearing makeup (to long ago to mention), I realized that applying makeup was like painting and the same "laws" apply - dark makes things recede while light brings objects forward. I've been using this technique since the 50s. Even in my late teens I had bags similar to Dominique's. There were no makeup brushes for the general public, so I just to a little light concealer in the end of a thin blunt toothpick and covered the indentation.

I've been using concealer on my whole bag and a coworker told me he could tell I hadn't gotten a lot of sleep. So, I'm searching for new ways to fix this problem. I'm going to have to repeatedly watch this to get it down but I'm happy I found something.

How can you tell? The lights are so bright her face is completely washed out. It looks like she has some kind of filter on, too...you can't see any definition in her face -- it's so blurry. How can we know if it's a good product and/or technique when we can't even see what she is trying to hide to begin with. Sorry, I just find these videos frustrating.

@@justmemadison filter, lighting or whatever, it was more about the technique she used that I enjoyed most, you don’t need to have the same products that she uses it’s more about technique on the application of the concealer which I found very informative and I did try it and worked lovely on my @60+ face even though I don’t have dark circles or bags under my eyes. @@justmemadison I don’t know what your watching videos on but on my iPad, I could see everything Dominique was talking about, I just re watched her video because I was confused when you said about bright lights and didn’t remember lights being bright in the video, I could see the purple tones under her eyes that she’s talking about to cover.....So I stand by this being the best Technique I’ve seen in awhile plus Dominique is a lovely person on RU-vid it appears.

My eye bags ate heredity, I've been using concealer since I was 21 years old. They have gotten worse as I reached my 60s. This is great advice to conceal. Ok... Dont cover the bags, cover the crease & blend. Got it!! Thanks!!

This makes perfect sense. It's like spot concealing for the under eye rather than slapping a whole bunch of product on the entire area which doesn't always look good. I will definitely apply this technique to my under eye concealing.

I have never seen concealer done that way. Can't wait to try it, THANK YOU. My big issue, other than what you mentioned, in concealers is my wrinkly undereye area and bifocal glasses that magnify the wrinkles. Hopefully my new glasses will help hide some of it, fingers crossed! Can't wear contacts.

As a 75 year old Englishwoman with inherited bags under my eyes courtesy of my otherwise fabulous father, may I recommend a product called Nanoblur for concealing eyebags. It's an ointment really intended for the face but a little put under the eyes either with a brush or fingers works brilliantly as a concealer. Made in Canada I think.

Dominique, here I am locked up in hotel quarantine in Australia and haven't put a scrap of makeup on in 5 days. Now after watching this I'm about to get in that bathroom and get to work lol. Something so simple and yet we're all just so shocked! I can't believe that I'm 57 and only just discovering this. I purchased 2 Pat McGrath last year during covid as I was playing around with makeup and really don't understand the hype. Waste of money for me I actually thought of throwing them away yesterday but every now and then I will throw one on to see if I change my mind. I literally watched your bag disappear before my eyes as you were highlighting around it! 😍 Such a great tip!! Also wanted to say I started watching you almost two years ago right around the time I turned 30 & even though I was only 30 I thought I looked much older due to years of sun damage from tanning in my early 20s and teens and not doing really ANY skin care. You've taught me so much in that time that I really feel like I've turned back the clock a few years & I'm SO SO SO THANKFUL I found you when I did!!!

I first saw this technique on the Sephora channel a few years ago. I’ve been waiting for another Beauty Channel to hop on the eye bag train and conceal it the right way. Proper placement is key when dealing with shadows!!!

Awesome! I had given up on my bags since I always make them look worse. It is like magic as you apply the concealer and that bag fades into nothing. Amazing!!! Can’t wait to try!! How about random scaly dry patches that only show up when I put foundation on them.. when wearing no foundation it’s not even obvious that there is any dry skin there! Also can you talk about color correcting I know a little about it but I would love to hear your take on it!

It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos. Not because I don’t think you’re great, but because I don’t wear a lot of makeup. Having just turned 55, I’m finding the need to “conceal” some facial areas, and this video is perfect. You are so beautiful, and I am struck by your inner beauty in that you will display your imperfections to us as a means to demonstrate concealing them. That takes a big heart.

I don't normally wear makeup so when I suddenly developed eye bags I had no idea what to do. Your technique worked for me! I got a concealer that matches my skintone well and blend like crazy and don't need foundation to pull off this optical illusion effect. I can keep up my "almost" no makeup routine, haha. When I was in my twenties, my husband and I doubled dated for dinner at a Restaurant where the other wife worked. The owner called the other wife over for a quick word. When she came back to the table she said that the owner remarked that he thought I had beautiful eyes. The other wife said she reminded him that the eyes “were the first thing to go”. What a sweetie she was, right? Anyway, many years later, she was right! While I have no real wrinkles, I do have bags under my eyes which I never had when younger. I really appreciate your video tips! Can’t wait to try!

You are amazing! I started watching you many years ago. There were many times when we were art he same clubs together. My under-eye puffiness is hereditary. My beautiful healthy mother at age 88 doesn’t even look like the same person and her under-eye bags are so puffy. I know this extreme puffy hereditary condition is what’s in store for me as I see more and puffiness in my under eyes as I approach my 60’s. Aaack! Mom never drank alcohol and she has never smoked, she doesn’t have high blood pressure and doesn’t take any medication other than Synthroid due to a partial thyroidectomy. She sleeps like a log! She hasn’t worn daily makeup for 25 years. I occasionally help her with make up when we go out with family as she has beautiful upper eyelids, absolutely no drooping or hooding at all. Unfortunately her beautiful blue eyes have the distraction of huge under-eye bags. Thank you Dominique, I will try this highlighting technique the next time I apply her eye makeup and mine!
