Our 8 year-old male still plays, he always barks when someone is at the door and he's never eaten a can of dog food in his life. Pure protein and he hasn't even needed the breathing operation. He does get regular vet checks and when he farts he looks at us like we did it.

My dog just snores, fart, bark, act like a human, and chew things up but I still love him :)

The title should be If your ever lucky enough to own a French Bulldog.

Having a Frenchie is basically like owning a pig. Much more intelligent than expected, snores LOUDLY, their farts are AWFUL, loved to sleep, and is just a lazy chubby ball of cuteness. Really love Frenchies, they really are a unique kind. I always thought Frenchies were a posh expensive type of lap dog, but turns out they’re much more cuter than I thought, easy to get along. Hoping everyone stays safe!!

We rescued our frenchie from a shelter and can't imagine life without her anymore. Never thought I was a dog person, but she stole my heart. She's sassy too 😂

My French literally talks and sings to me. He’s perfect. He’s plays a lot and he’s always smiling! He makes noises with his throat when we talk to him but luckily he has no breathing problem.

I've been around multiple frenchies for 15 years, I guess it really depends on the dog, but I've never seen low energy one or not vocal one. They require alot of attention and if they aren't getting it, they will find a way to get it.

When my pug passed, I had such a hard time falling asleep in silence.

I can’t sleep without my snoring boy! Has been an issue with boyfriends in the past and guess who stays in my bed, my Oscar boy! Kept me laughing, keep the videos up!

Most everything he said was true but dogs are like humans with their own personalities. My two year old male is very active and wants to run and run. He loves for me to chase him around the house. He is not a barker, but he does bark. He loves everyone and would litterally go off with any stranger who gave him attention. He doesn't sleep with me as he has a crate he loves and every night at 10 pm he goes in it to sleep for the night. Now my guy did fart alot and poop stuck to his butt. Not now. I add a full teaspoon of canned pumpkin and a full teaspoon of plain yogurt to his food. No poop stuck on his butt and farting is down 95%. Do not pay outrageous prices for exotic colors as they are not registered with the AKC and you are being ripped off. Best dog I have ever owned.

Holy crap this is literally the perfect dog for me. I'm super clean freak, hate dogs that bark all day, love social dogs and they are SO CUTE.

Your videos have helped me to financially, emotionally, and physically prepare myself for a dog. I have been doing some research on French Bulldogs and considering if I’m ready for a Frenchie! You are by far the best!

what i wish i knew about frenchies before getting one: 1. they do shed a lot (i think this differs by color/dog) 2. they require a lot of attention and will do anything to get it (pee!!!!) 3. they do have tons of energy (depends on dog) 4. they have extremely sensitive stomachs/skins/allergies, you need to be committed to finding out what works for your baby 5. therefore they do fart and sometimes its deadly... 6. they snore a lot and can be loud. it would be best to crate them at night (this also makes good practice so that they don't get separation anxiety) 7. you most definitely need to get pet insurance because of the many 'what-if's' in this breed (this is your baby and you would most definitely get health insurance for your baby) bottom line, they're legit human children and you really need to be committed i love my baby boy and it's been the best experience so far. he's got such a personality and i'm always happy to give him my attention because he's just so funny and loving!

my frenchie wasn’t a big barker until she started going to a pet sitter that has several other dogs and I think she learned their behavior smh. still love her even though she barks at something being set down on the counter

Our 2 year old Frenchy, Puppet, doesn't bark.... But he talks. A LOT! He acts like he's having conversations with you. He's a sook, big sook. He had a tummy ache last week after stealing a bag of treats while I was out... He cried at me until I gave him my heat pack to lay on. Also, he acts like he's asleep when he's getting a talking to. He just closes his eyes like "if I can't see you you can't see me". It's weird and seems to be a Frenchy thing lol. He loves toys and our kids. He burps, farts, snores.... Basically he's a small, silly fat old man lol.

My Frenchie just snores and judges me.....He catches an attitude with me a lot.....I'd never seen a dog huff and stomp off to his bed because he was told NO!

Thanks for the video this was very helpful. We're normally Malamute and Chihuahua owners, but I am a HUGE fan of Cashew. Seeing him with such a huge personality, I wanted to get one. However, now I think I will just remain a fan of them, and stick to what I know, Malamutes and Chihuahuas!

I adopted my Frenchie from the pound $75 bucks wow I had no idea they cost that much.

I had to stay at a friends place inbetween moving apartments and he had a Frenchie. It was an absolute nightmare. That dog dominated every single part of my senses, from the foul smell, to the noise, the slime & drool everywhere, it's constant need for attention, hair all over the place and snorting / grunting. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.

I'm absolutely obsessed with finding a Frenchie. My 17 year old Pug passed away about 2 years ago and I honestly thought that was it for me. Now I'm 100% ready for a puppy, and it has to be a French Bulldog. I'm in the San Francisco area and I'm having trouble finding one. I actually got my Frenchie for $2k but I had to neuter him by the 6th month. That might be a good option for those not interested in breeding.

Mine is a 85% frenchbulldog and 15% Boston terrier. I personally like a little blend more because it lessens the issues that frenchies come with, like heart issues, breathing. He’s also thinner and his face isn’t as smushed which I am completely fine with lol. It allows him to be quite instead of making all kinds of breathing noises

Ummmmm....there are many frenchies below $3,500. We got ours AKC pup for $1500. You might have to expand your horizons beyond NYC or SF though...............

I have a blue fawn French bulldog rarely barks or cries so he’s very chill but the only problem is that he’s a very picky eater and stubborn 😫

The one thing I have to disagree with is when you said they arent a barking breed. My frenchie barks and literally SCREAMS this blood curdling scream when hes mad or left alone for a few mins. Not to mention he farts A LOT and boy that can clear a room quick!

Hah. My boy is 34lbs. Solid muscle, and I have to hold him all the time. This breed is high energy and high attention. My boy runs every evening and has an Aussie as a brother. They play non stop. I fully disagree with the apartment living.

i got a frenchie and it wasn’t planned, a work friend gave him to us for free:) he literally acts like a toddler, he intentionally gets his ball stuck and barks at it for attention he’s so cute. he’s been the most human like dog iv had it’s so cute!!

All bulldogs are very loyal 🖤 Frenchies have more energy and bigger personalities IMO, but equally gassy as English despite being much smaller. Health issues are similar and bite strength is similar (meaning you may need industrial strength toys). 1. They’ are quiet as stated, if a bully barks there’s a good reason (or in this case, a dangerous reason) 2. They don’t shed much and despite their reputation they don’t slobber unless they’ve been exerting themselves 3. They get to know you very well. They can adjust to your lifestyle, if you go out a lot they will build a great travel tolerance, if you are a homebody they will learn to amuse themselves in your space 4. They are GREAT with kids, they love all people, however, they don’t naturally take to strange dogs, that will require socialization on your part - and when they’re young 5. They are VERY loyal. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people part with their bullies at ages 5 and older when they’ve only had one home and it doesn’t end well....it often sends them into a depression and occasionally, sudden death. 6. They generally don’t live as long as other breeds, but this is changing thanks to culture and science.

OMG Fuli is so gorgeous! God Bless! I have a male Boston Terrier who weighs 27 pounds and everything you described about Fuli applies to my Boston, too. Those farts... they hang around to the point that you can taste them. But despite all the gas passing and snoring they are all worth it.

My frenchie Nala does not play well with other dogs at all but she’s great with my kids. She will however tolerate her cat siblings 🤷🏻‍♀️

My frenchie was also unexpected. We planned for another breed, however, we fell in love with his pic. One thing we learned is frenchies have a lot of food allergies. My frenchie bleed from the buttocks for the first year of his life because of food allergies, especially chicken. His first year was spent going back & forth to the vet trying to figure what to feed him to make him stop bleeding. He's had every expensive food known to puppies. We gave up on dog food after his first year. He is currently being fed human food. We mix together ground turkey, ground beef, white rice, frozen chopped spinach, frozen peas & carrots, (baked sweet potatoes or 100% canned pumpkin) for a week's worth of meals during the week. We cook either all ingredients together, or at least 4 of these ingredients, which always includes both meats. We top with sprinkles of poultry free kibble to help with his teeth. We also learned that they need the expensive all natural treats without chicken since they're so sensitive to food. And also that frenchies are very heat sensitive. So it is important to not have your heat turned up too high in your home, to not over walk them, nor allow them to play outside in the heat for too long, and to not have clothes on them for too long. And always take a bottle of water with you on walks especially in the heat. I absolutely love my frenchie. They're so smart, people friendly & they love companionship & cuddling up next to you.

I disagree with a lot of things here lol. My frenchie: has A LOT of energy! He is so not quiet, while he doesn’t bark like crazy but he sure as heck “talks” a lot, he also sheds a lot!

I have a French bulldog dark brown and white, and I'm getting another one soon cuz I can't say no to puppies. She is very loud, always snores never barks really unless we are playing. She has a stronger gut than most frenchies but still very very sensitive. One time she accidentally got A BITE of chocolate and was throwing up NONSTOP for about 6 hours

My Frenchies are insane and hardly quiet. They yodel and make wierd noise and my male howls when I am not around.

I love my Frenchie baby!! I don’t know if you’ve had to deal with this but mine licks her paws nonstop and my vet told me not to worry about it and I do think it might be a mixture of boredom and possible food allergy! I’m interested in what you feed your baby? Because I was thinking about starting to just make her own food!

First If someone told you they are lazy chill dogs They are either ignorant or lying I have three, they only stop when I stop to sleep, they play hard, like I had a hunting dog that only BARELY out ran my Frenchie Bean. You MUST pay attention to what they eat, the wrong food in the wrong amounts will net you a very problematic pooch. They are generally nice dogs but I have one , a rescue, that just changed into a big meanie attacking my other two. After lots of attempts at therapy and training Separation was the only viable answer to keeping her in our home. In her defense, she is a puppy mill rescue so I have no idea if her breeding or bloodline. Having one is a treat Having two is dinner and a show Having three is a sign maybe you need psychiatric help

Any one else disagrees on the shedding part? My frenchie loses a lot of hair and its impossible to get off the couch and cushions. The hairs are like needles that stick to clothes and furniture. They can't be vacuumed or rolled with adhesive.

Two mornings ago I was looking out my kitchen window and there was a French Bulldog on my deck. I live out in the country. I have checked with my neighbors and no one is missing one. She doesn't have a chip either, and she's only 5 months old.

I Love my French Bully. He talks to me all the time. Great friend and companion. Also they are fast learners.
