Hi Bob and Brad. Can you do more karate please? I taught myself karate from a book when I was 12 years old and became a black belt at 17 years old. After attending karate classes, the Chinese teacher asked me to get in fighting stance after I told him that I learned from a book. I defended myself and he was in shock and asked me to bring him the book I had learnt from. I gave him the book. He asked me if I read the whole book and I had, many times. He then said that I was a black belt. I later learned Aikido and boxing. Now I am 54 years old. I have sciatica lumbar, osteoarthritis in all my joints and I have a umbilical cord hernia. I use all your stretching exercises on RU-vid for my sciatica my osteoarthritis. And I feel less in pain and I am confident that after I have done some swimming exercises for the hernia to strengthen my tummy muscles. I feel that I won't need to use these crutches due to the sciatica. I also have spinal stenosis. But I'm confident that I will heal. And will be able to do the things that I love doing such as painting and exhibiting and teaching art. Thanks to your RU-vid videos which I have shared on my 5,000 Facebook page plus followers on all my social media outlets. That I have hope to paint again after doing these exercises for my fingers and hands. As I also have carpal tunnel and stiffness in my fingers and elbows of compress nerves due to medical negligence. You both has given me confidence to trust your exercises. My Achilles heel was sprained and I did what you said and it healed in few days I was amazed. Thank you both so much. I feel confident that I will heal without any more operations. I'm now working on losing weight via swimming exercises. As I'm not allowed to even run due to that medical negligence on my right knee that damaged my whole nerves throughout my joints. Osteoarthritis bone trauma is extremely painful. But with your exercises. I am coping with it. Best physiotherapists I've ever seen. 🎖🎖🤗🤗💞💞

Keep your day job... I appreciate your health expertise but , myself being a Shotokan Karaté practicioner for 25 years, please leave martial arts to the professionals. Your skill level is about that of a yellow belt. My hope is that this video was a parody of some sort.

Well you know, it's screamingly obviously not aimed at a "Shotokan Karaté practicioner for 25 years". It's for people like me. Total beginners who want to try a gentle introduction to something new. I loved it. Feel destressed, awake and happy to start my day. What are you doing watching an introductory beginners video? I'll never understand people like you who watch stuff clearly not aimed at their level just to pour snarky self-important comments on it.

Oh this is cool guys! It's nice for you to do for your subs. Btw, the liver and temple on the green shirt are WIDE open. But they're just beginners. Besides, maybe they'd have a gun, the great equalizer in combat. 😂 All the more reason to avoid aggressive or violent altercations at almost all costs. I didn't hear Brad say what type of karate he studies. Take care guys!

Good exercise, but don't call it "self-defense" unless you actually regularly spar against resisting opponents. Otherwise, you're giving people false confidence.

Thank you for this content sir, what about the hips when throwing punches? I did some boxing and my coach always emphasized that the real power from the punch comes from turning your hips properly to strengthen your punch.
