Not only is the camera angle different, but the focus of this video is also aimed directly at beginners. I talked through the build as if this was an in-person class so even the most basic details are covered. And if you are a beginner, please don't be intimidated by the high-level tools I use. Any basic table saw, jointer, and planer can be used to make a cutting board like this. And if you use pre-milled stock, you can do it all with just a table saw. Thanks for watching!

As for Doors, garage door, 16x7 . Im thinking of ordering a water proof wood at full length, and a plywood. The guy on youtube named the woodpecker did one for his shop, its georgious . But his were raised panels thats too much weight for a 16x7 door Even with torsion springs. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AFDs96LzyIY.html

Definitely like this POV style coupled with a simpler project as a change of pace. As a long time viewer I do like all of your work, but sometimes I miss the early days with simpler projects. You're a great teacher!

+1 to the POV shots. But I'd still watch even if you filmed the entire video from a drone flying in the middle of the shop and following you around during a project.

the moving blanket idea for sanding is pretty good. i personally use rubber underlayment for rugs. they sell that as meter stock in hardware stores here. also pretty cheap, stopps stuff from moving around aswell, but has holes, so wont contain any mess you might cause on it.

Loved the video. I just made 30 cutting boards to give as gifts. I practiced techniques from other projects but really appreciated many of your tips. It was a good refresher for me. A habit I use for glue up to prevent black marks is to apply blue painters tape to the clamp to prevent contact with the wood.

POV looks great. As long as we can see what’s going on, it’s great too. It’s annoying when some youtubers have bad camera angle, or block what they are doing with hand, arm, or any body parts. Moreover, a bad audio almost always ruin a good video. So props to those using a lapel or lavalier micophones for consistent sound. Oh by the way, good tutorial and tips for those like me who still yet to make our first cutting board. 😆👍

Absolutely love the POV style. I can see how it might not work for everything, but loved it for this project. For one it adds a differenet perspective. The view from the "front" of a project is quite different than from the side or the "back". I would love to see some of this implemented in other videos and projects as well. aybe ways to cut into the POV from normal perspective to see the detail or using a chisel, or sharpening, or some of those tips and techniques that are timeless. Great video, as always, Marc! Thanks!
