Beginner's First Trial - A Tale of Section 2 - SOCT Simcoe 2022
What an absolute blast of a day! Although this wasn't my first trials event that I attended, it was the FIRST ONE that I actually started and finished all the way through! (First event I DNS'ed and second event I basically DNS'ed as well due to bike issues) Huge thank you to all the members of the Southerwestern Ontario Classic Trials group that work their butts off to make these events happen, it's always a fantastic time! Overall I was happy with my performance despite being bested over and over by section 2, which I may or may not have finally ended up conquering :) Check out the video for some memorable clips from that day and I hope you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed being there!

Honestly. I'd love to see more of these. It's nice knowing you don't just sit at home doing games. But get out and play some irl games with irl toys. Love this.

This is a very unique style of riding that I am unfamiliar with but it looks like an absolute blast! I love the motivation to get through those problem sections! Good job!

Awesome video man, really enjoyed it! From a mountainbiker's perspective I was genuinely so concentrated at some moments, as if I was in control of the bike myself hahaha. Definitely some impressive stuff dude! I've never ridden a motorcycle before, but I can imagine that working the clutch on trails like that is very hard. Props too for not giving up, so cool to see you make it in the end! I hope to see more vids like this in the future :)

Thanks dude! :D Having the clutch, footbrake, and throttle to operate on top of everything else to keep focused on is certainly a challenge but it's so cool when it start becoming a subconscious function you perform. Looking forward to getting better at it all! Motorbikes are fun, get one ;)

I can definitely imagine that it becomes easier as you get more experience. Daryl from the beginning of the video certainly seemed like a perfect example of that haha, he looked sooo comfortable which was pretty cool to see. He threw the bike around like it weighed 15kg lol. Honestly, I definitely want to try to at least ride any motorcycle once, to see if it’s something that’d suit be. It’s probably really hard the first time, but I can also imagine it being very satisfying when you finally are able to take off and drive around.
