On a livestream a couple of days ago Luscious said that their friendship fell apart because of Jeffree Star. She said Jeffree inserted himself in their friendship and turned Rich against her. What was left was destroyed by Nick Snider bullying Luscious ... and Rich stood by and did nothing to stop it.

yeah, i remember when the lushious x manny video first dropped rich tweeted something like "girl... *rolling eyes emoji*" and alot of people assumed this was in reference to the video collab. Rich also made it very clear in previous collab videos with Lushious that he wasn't particular amused or happy about Lushious meeting with Manny and getting to know him and developing a sort of bond. It unfortunately became simple debates about who's palette is better into something unnecessarily detrimental to their friendship.

Rich did a Drag Houston documentary years ago with Lush. Rich tried doing Apple store employee content, luxury content, Drag content, Pokemon Go content ect. He then tried drama/commentary specifically beauty drama. That's when he started putting out steady content. He didn't blow up until he was in the Peter Mon, John Kukian drama two December's in a row. That's when Rich blew up. Lush has always done the same Drag, makeup, commentary, vlog, friends having a conversation type of content. Many people found him through Rich, and his channel blew up. Along came the J* drama of 2018 and them choosing opposing camps. At that point the wedge was inserted. The writing was on the wall once opposing alliances were picked.

This argument doesn’t stand against her dragging the other three into the conversation. Most of all, bringing Petty Paige into it just because she is friends with Rich. The other two talk shit, but the bullying that Paige has been receiving is unwarranted because they are attacking her child, husband and her IRL job. I don’t believe luscious just “inserted” herself in the drama, from what I remember Nick Snider was throwing shade at luscious on Twitter for a while before manny’s dad’s tweets. I think luscious took the opportunity there to help manny out and put a stop to nick snider.

yeah there was some kind of meet and greet event and rich and lushious attended separately - Nick shaded Lush by saying her turnout was small, (this was proven untrue). But there was many more instances where Nick would just randomly come for Lush.

I came from Lushious, I appreciate your take, and feel it was very fair and balanced. I think the "friends" that Lux thinks he has, and their toxic behavior toward Lushious online was the final nail. If you were my friend for ten years, and your new friends said terrible things about me, and you still supported them and allowed it to continue, then the pain would be insurmountable in order to continue the friendship. That's why I'm forever team Lush. However if Lushious ever had a change of heart I would support her, not only for the many years they had together, but also because the two of them together was so very special. As another commenter said, magic.💜 I pray Lux stops letting the money and labels blind him to what's truly important. I'll tell you this much, I'd bet that if Rich gave Lush a gift, expensive or otherwise, she wouldnt talk bad about it behind her back. I had a friend for 11 years. When we fell out because she started treating me similar to how Rich started treating Luscious . She grew up and changed for the better after realizing she was treating people around her horrendously and driving them away. Unlike Rich. She reached out and told me she never blamed me for cutting ties because she knew how she was treating me was horrible. This girl is 18 and she is more grown than this full grown man.

Good question. Do you watch at lot of Lushious’ videos? Lushious almost always says the pronouns “she/her” all the time, which is why I did the same in this video. If I ever find out Lushious thinks I was offensive, I would apologize on the spot.

The videos they made together actually brought me our of depression for a bit. I am so heartbroken how easily rich was bought off by Jeffree. It really seems like all the tension started over Jeffree not trusting anyone who is friends with a friend of Manny. It's as if he is scared of information getting back to Rich that will shed light on his true character. He would loose control of his narrative.
The only thing I would have added was LA Dragcon 2019 in May. They were both there working and IIRC Rich never mentioned Lush, never publicly acknowledged her, whereas Lush went over to the Hank & Henry booth and shouted out Rich’s lipgloss and congratulated him virtually (this was, I think, in Lush’s IG stories that she then put in her Dragcon vlog). That, for me as an outsider, was the first signal there was something really wrong there.
Agreed. I was coming here to say this. Something happened either right before DragCon 2019 or at that event. I don’t think they even interacted while at that event. I recall that Lush made a vlog showing him and his Brownsville friends making outfits for DragCon and they even made a crown for Rich, but I never saw that Rich wore it at DragCon or ever. Who knows if he even got it if they were already separated before DragCon.

I have been watching both of them for a long time . This is My take on it and how I feel about the fractured friendship . I listened to what they both said .I feel that rich wanted to go out on his own , and pushed lushious aside. I feel he wanted to make friends with all the other beauty influencers That had a big following And we're doing very well with their makeup lines. I think he thought well if I hang with them it will boost my channel. If someone is saying things about one of your friends And you don't defend them thats wrong very wrong..... He didn't want to upset the starr who might help his career on RU-vid . Rich is very calculating with his moves . I do like rich but he has become very self-centered. The other thing I didn't like is how they tried to knock down Lushious when he was sick and in the hospital , I'm a retired Nurse and I could tell just by looking at him he was very sick . Luscious was in the hospital with covid. He contracted it while he was moving from LA back to Brownsville. It was so sad because he really could have used rich at that time especially since he was taking about how lonely it was being in quarantine.
So before the whole Manny's dad's thing. Lushicious had got an opportunity with sephora and I believe around the same time was Rich's birthday or something. I know you arent including the other friend's drama, but I think there was some tweets from Nick and Dustin throwing "social climbing" tweets and not calling Rich on his birthday. I think that was the first time the bad blood came to light. So then Lushicious was standing up for Manny since Rich didnt defend her. I noticed it because I thought it was strange that Rich wasnt posting anything with Lushicious and vice versa and if I'm not mistaken they were all in cali then (before Lush moved). Unfortunately I think they are both at a point of no return. To me it's clear the negative energy that surrounds Jeffree, Nick, and kind of Dustin escalated the anger between the two of them.
They're an iconic due, their videos together were my favorite. I really wish they would be friends again but I think it's hard with toxic Nick involved
I disagree that rich actually cares. Nope. Luscious has only gone wrong by continuing to let this hold her back. Rich also had fulltime assistants being paid to do everything for him. And this was a very basic cosmetic procedure that he scheduled with his employees help, knowing they'd be helping him "recover". It was no emergency or medical issue. I believe rich got too good for everyone and is just pissed that lucious wasn't begging and clawing to be his slave. How many grown ass people need to cater to one person? And perhaps he was a little jealous that lucious was appearing with manny? Like how dare she be successful without him?. I'm not usually this opinionated about drama but come on! @@Miss-IQ I think it was the tummy tuck which is a Pretty significant surgery and recovery but certainly not something he can't manage as a grown man. I mean, peopke have this fairly commonly and go home within a couple days to families, careers and much more demanding lives. There's nothing wrong with him going as easy as possible and being nursed through recovery but he has had hired people and definitely couldve afforded professional nursing care at home if he chose. Imo, its just obnoxious to schedule an elective cosmetic surgery and expecting your friends to come be at your beck and call last minute. I'd never just expect that of my best friend! I cant fathom asking let alone losing her in my life over something I chose to do! Shes 5 hrs away by car and I'd never demand she come for my tummy tuck I told her about 2 days before! She has a life, work, family of her own too! I also dont like the bit about manny sr. It takes a lot for families, of certain cultures especially, to open their minds to a gay child and learn from what that community has experienced for so long! It's a very "manly man" culture they have and he spoke out for everyone who has been kicked out of their families, churches, etc because of their lgbtq+ sexuality or identification. It's just disappointing that the coolness of that was lost in drama for drama's sake, you know? Maybe rich does know better and feel differently deep down but I'm disappointed by him on this one personally. They are both wrong in their own ways. First off rich lux expected lucious to be under him and nit have a life of his own. It’s funny because luscious took him in when he dint have anything but as soon as rich starts his channel and gets back on his feet and brings luscious onto RU-vid he throws it at her. That’s alone tells you how he thinks. Next you had an elective surgery, he had done cool sculpting before all this and still couldn’t lose weight because he doesn’t want to go on a diet. You cant expect your best friend to just drop everything and come to your aide over an elective surgery something you didn’t need. Then throw it at their face that a friend that you knew for a month or 2 is better than they are because that person did one favor for you. Dustin has only 100,00 subscribers probably had less than 50k when he met rich so obviously he would do anything for rich. Lastly rich lux may not be talking bad about luscious in public but he is certainly doing so in private, Just like his mentor jefree. Rich is probably telling Nick, Dustin, and petty Paige all the things he did for luscious and not the bad. After that video rich lux posted explains why they’re not friends luscious should’ve just ended it there and pay them dust. I agree with your first half but to say Lushious is piggybacking off of rich's success it's a reach. Lushious was exposed to us by rich. But that's it. Lushious is successful because of her mua skills and her vivacious personally. She's getting to bigger places because people are interested in her channel and content. Nick was using unflattering pics of Lushious in the hospital with COVID for a thumbnail for his video. Very, very, good video and tastefully done. I watch both Rich and Lushious and it was painful to watch the breakdown of their friendship. I still watch both and I hope and some point they can reconcile their differences and become friends again.
For real, you have a definitive style and balance in this vid...not to mention the artistry and professionalism. I don't see a lot of vids like this on youtube. I wish you and your channel the best....you deserve many more subs! I'll definitely be hanging around for future content.
I definitely would love to see you cover the "mean girls" of the drama channels aka Nick, Dustin Daily and Petty Paige and specifically the incidents around their trip to Texas and the livestream that happened there and how they involved Smokey Glow. I don't think they're very nice people and haven't seen many videos about it. Just found your channel and I love it.

I remember the days when Rich’s channel was just starting to blow up and the two of them would do live streams while “getting ready” for wherever they were going to- and they’d give out a phone number to call them on. I called and called for like the entire hour and never got through lmao 🤣 they reminded me of just being young and listening to the radio for some reason and you’d try to call in and get on the air. I miss the two of them together. I love them both and appreciate that they needed to branch off on their own but honestly they were so wonderful as a duo! I could listen to them for hours 😭 when they publicly ended their friendship it felt like a divorce

Team Lushious all the way! I watched both of Rich Lux and Luschious channels from the very start. Yes, I agree both together they were hilarious. However, I could clearly see that Luschious was the one who made it more entertaining in my opinion. I don't blame Luschious over being hurt when Rich didn't stand up for him when Jeffree Star was talking badly about him. Also, why would Rich think that it was ok to have Luschious listen to the conversation knowing that the conversation would hurt his friend's feelings. Rich just wanted to be noticed and accepted by Jeffree Star as he knew that would help him gain subscribers and views. As far as his surgery, why didn't he ask a family member to help him instead or one of his many assistants to help him ? Not everyone can be at Rich's beck and call . Personally, I think Rich was jealous of all the recognition and accomplishments that Luschious was achieving and instead of being happy that he left to LA , he got upset. Rich claiming Dustin and Nick been more of a friend to him than Luschious ever was -- Nah I don't believe that - he just threw it in there to try to hurt Lushious feelings.
This is one I felt a personal investment in. Rich filmed a documentary about Houston Texas Drag and Lucia's was in it. Thier banter was dynamic and captivating. Later they started yt channels and featured each other. I watched that growth and loved the friendship.
Ok, if a 'friend' tells you to bow down, you can't make it on your own..run. I've seen videos from both..one straight up gossip and the other actually does makeup and talks about actual issues, not just gossip. They're both funny but I rather see the one that doesnt really care about the background, etc. I hope they're not friends again. Time invested in a relationship does not matter if there's no support..just let go and move on.
Jeffree got in-between them. Rich is wrong bc he doesn't stand up for his friends, he lacks a backbone and that's what bothers me with him. Jeffree probably saw that and took advantage of that.
Thank you for such a well done video! One thing that I'm not sure if a lot of people realize is that in the beginning of Rich bringing Lushious onto his channel they talked about how they had previously had a falling out. So this was not entirely new for them. The other thing is that I think Rich was super jealous that Lushious got her own booth at LA Dragcon in May 2019 and I think this was really when all of the resentment started and I believe is when Nick started trashing Lushious all over twitter and probably getting into Rich's ear. Looking at it that way I think it makes sense how from Lushious perspective all of these people were ganging up on her. Just 2 important pieces I'd add to the timeline.
M I yea! It’s important to understand the real facts about when they actually fell out and how it relates to like everyone else who was involved. It seems like Lushious probably was already anti Jeffree by dragcon which is really interesting to think about since that was around the time of dramageddon 2. Manny probably told him a lot of things and Jeffree probably told Rich a lot of things around that time. And then with Dustin and nick being in Rich’s camp around that time I think there was just like such a wedge already forming that there was no going back. This is also further evidenced in the fact that Lushious took a pic with James sometime late that summer

My heart was literally broken when they stopped being friends. I still watch them both but honestly rich changed a bit but is now going back to what made me laugh in the first place. Tbh I believe rich's friendship with nick is the reason even though I watch him too. And Lushious is so damn talented! Idk I enjoyed this video
I can tell you as an ex fan of rich Lux that to me he was so transparent ,when I first came across his channel, I was not into the beauty community , I didn't know who most of them were but he was so entertaining that I got sucked in to it , he was the only one I had ever subscribed to from the beauty/drama community, when lushious joined him it became even more entertaining for me , they were dynamic,funny, and very interesting, I loved it , but I started to notice a change in rich Lux , he became obsessed with jefree who I never liked since the Kat von d racist thing, and I was still subscribed to him, I just stopped watching any jefree videos he made, I thought maybe he's just going through a faze, however when lushious came out and spoke on him and pretty much narrated everything I was feeling about rich ,I knew I wasn't trippin so it just validated my thoughts on him , he completely changed and it wasn't in a good way , I remember being happy for him when he came out with his own products, and him moving up but he was just changing , I could tell the difference between genuine and fake and one thing I can say is that to me lushious has always been very real so I'm team lushious
I think it's telling when it comes to Rich with the friends he surrounds himself with when recently its came out that jstar was talking bad about rich when he bought him a gift of a hermes bag and rich plays it off as messing and he seems to be like doing anything he can to be friends with him but jstar is toxic, creates drama, goes through friends like there's no tomorrow so why would you want someone like that as a friend?
Their videos together were comedy gold. I loved them both and was thrilled at Rich's success. I started to go off him when he started making videos with Theresa Roemer. Then the Jeffree Star shenanigans started. He appeared to be getting very big headed and full of himself. X
I dont like rich. I think hes so fake. In any video that rich seems to be upset about something he just seems to be acting. Also ive always thought that rich could be straight up mean when he talks about certain people. Maybe he doesn't mean to be but ita kind of hard to believe when its a consistent thing.
I hope I don't get any hate for this comment but in watching all the videos and reading some things between the lines I think one of the major points that they don't agree on is this: lushious thinks that small brands up-and-coming people should be supported especially if they are of Hispanic descent. luscious has said on numerous occasions that people who are of the same background should uplift each other whereas rich believes that it is the character of a person that he would stand behind and not race/ethnicity and he doesn't look at race as a defining factor in friendship, but rather the person's actions. He always called Manny a mooch and Laura a leech because of their history with Jeffree Starr as social climbers. lushious always backed manny mua being that he is a smaller make up influencer and brand (at least smaller than Jeffree Starr anyway) And that's my opinion but of course I don't know them personally but it makes me sad that they are no longer friends. I felt like a child of divorce.....like I had to choose sides when they split up.

Look I'm not choosing sides here and I never said rich wasn't a social climber all I'm trying to say is that when rich makes friends he doesn't just use somebody for social climbing I think he genuinely genuinely wants to make friends with people he admires. like he admires Jeffree Starr because hes a self made millionaire and he admires Theresa roemer for everything that she's done with her life and all the material goods that she has. I'm not into all that kind of stuff but rich is, and he makes friends with these people and admires them and wants to be like them he wants to emulate them. But he looks beyond race as a defining factor in a friendship...... that's all I'm trying to say. And honestly I still love both rich and lush, just for the record.

What I found even more interesting was at the time of their fallout, Dustin Daily posted a response and said he did take care of rich after his surgery but that he was also rude to him. Dustin has a turbulent relationship with him and Nick at times bc in another video Dustin said when they were all in LA he left early bc of them.
I love both of these people, and I refuse to pick a side because I’m going to continue to watch both of them. I do think that Luscious was hurt that Rich didn’t defend him to Jeffree, rightfully so so he went and started collaborating with Many. I also remember when Luscious and Rich were together Luscious called Many and Laura all those same names,thats why I was surprised Many was collaborating with him. I also remember Rich was getting pretty tight with Jeffree at this time.
Thank you for making this video! I genuinely wondered what happened and noticed when Luscious got COVID, Rich said nothing and I thought that was weird and then I realized they hadn’t worked together in awhile. I had missed their posts about each other somehow. I miss seeing them together.
