Do you know the "Morning Sun" mod for Shogun 2? The mod doesn't introduce any new features, but expands the map to include Korea, China, Tibet and Mongolia and introduces Joson, Aisin Gioro, Uyghurstan, Yuan and others as playable factions. This mod deserves more recognition and I humbly suggest to maybe check it out.
I just got into Rome Remastered just today, its a really good game but took a couple of turns to figure out the UI but still don't know what all the buttons do. I can see this is THE best TW design wise. But it still seems to have an input delay problem which I rectified with the "Run as date" application
love the safe port restrictions. reminds me of EB1 where only a handful of regions (subject to local conditions) allow recruitment of the advanced vessels. great touch:)
I am definitely buying Rome Remastered for this mod and a few others. There is so much potential for modding. I can't wait to see more factions, like Norway, Portugal, Venice, etc.
Are you planning on expanding the scope of the mod's map? I think it would be a really great idea to add Zagwe Ethiopia to the mod (of course predicated on the availability of a modeler). An Ethiopian faction would be an amazing inclusion to the mod. It would provide great diversity both on the campaign and battle map, and would finally include an important but oft-overlooked player in the greater Red Sea/Mediterranean exchanged. It would also definitely add flavor to the Egyptian campaign, which in all its depictions in Total War tends to be a fairly easy corner-camping experience. It would also give you another Oriental Orthodox faction ;)
One thing you could do to help clarify the geographical requirement in gameplay is add a building to those provinces with maybe the name of the harbor and some flavor text about the logistical issues with maintaining a navy and a note at the end like "this building enables the military harbor building chain" or something like that.
heheh try to play it historically - it's hard to defend everything, so try your best to consolidate Greece and Thrace before turning back to Asia Minor. There are just too many enemies at once
Soo, to go on a Crusade you would build a standard army in your home territory , take over a province with the hidden Crusader mechanic resource, and then construct the Crusader state declaration and would then have access to Crusader type units?
I just installed this wonderful mod today. It is beautiful. This is the best mod from the whole series of total war . Thank you a lot. Nice job. I hope you fixe all crashes in beta. Becaus I like to play Byzantium and Konstantinople. It`s crash right after starting new compaign.
Hi Gudea, in your opinion, what campaign and battle difficulty do you recommend people play chivalry on for the best balance? I hate how very hard battle difficulty heavily depuffs your units whilst buffing the enemies, though I don't mind upping campaign difficulty if it means more armies and a stronger opponent.
Hi Gudea, thanks for the explanation. Any idea when the Crusaders campaign might come up? Really looking forward to play as the principality of Antioch
Since Denmark and Norway will be in the game, i feel like Sweden should be included aswell🤔 I mean, Denmark vs Sweden is one of those legendary feuds. And it could be awesome to form the 'Kalmar union'👌🏻😎 Hope the cough goes away!
@@GudeaTW Great work so far! I love the Middle Ages, so I’m looking so much forward to it and I’m thrilled with what you’ve done so far! Noticed that Ringsted was chosen over the capital; Roskilde. And then I was pondering over the decision abit and it started to make sense, from what I know. Not that I know much about the history of Ringsted, but I’ve heard it was the city/town’s heyday and probably the most important settlement in Denmark at the time. Would get a bit cramped to get both in so close proximity 😅
Does it have a wallachian, or moldavian faction ? Or do you intend on adding them later on ? And is Transylvania a part of the Austro - Hungarian empire ? The area where modern day Romania is could use a couple more cities, in the Carpathian-Danube-Pontic area(Black Sea), it seems kind of barren.
Hm while I like the idea of harbours/safe deep water ports, maybe having a more accessible shipbuilder could be useful for allowing simple boats to be built to transport units around. Should make galleys very powerful and rewarding when you get them I think, but I fear that the AI would build nothing but boats which can make it uninteresting.
@@GudeaTW As much as I would love that I'm really not the right person for it. Don't you guys got a patreon page for this project? It looks like a lot of work so getting it for free feels like a steal :D
Hey, quick update, while I couldn't find a way of making a single donation I bought your course on Ancient Sumer history and I find it very helpful for a history enthusiast. Keep up the good work! :)
Will you add a mechanic that allows you to change your state religion? For example making the Byzantine Empire Catholic? I know Medieval Kingdoms 1212 allows this.
Eventually I want to add a mechanic for the Byzantines and Cilician Armenia to try to convert to Catholicism in order to secure reinforcements (and this will come with some element of risk and chance) if certain requirements are met. But just converting out of the blue... I probably won't add.
How possible would it be to add Medieval 2 models and textures to Rome Remastered? There are some absolutely beautiful ones made by various Med2 modders over the years.
Will there be any Jihad mechanics for the Muslim factions? Say if Christian factions holds cities that was formaly Muslim you get access to special units) like the special Jihad units in Med 2.
Can you make it so factions don’t start with huge armies because 2 of my play through a ended in me being destroyed because I could not get troops fast enough lol
@@GudeaTW I was playing as Georgia and was destroyed within 3 turns, and another was England where France invaded me in 2 turns and in 7 turns I was destroyed. Each time was because I could not make money fast enough and no one would trade with me for some reason. Btw I was on Hard/Hard difficulty
Hi Gudea, it's a great mod, I wanted to add some ideas for the new factions you're going to add: a pagan Norway, so they can fight Denmark for dominance in the Norse region, a pagan Baltic country so Novgorod will have some competition, a Vlachian state in Craiova, or a vlach horde who can start in Moldova, since proto romanians had some countries in the region, as well as they had some impact over the 2nd Bulgarian empire. Good luck with this fantastic creation, I would love to play it one day.
For Vlachian units you can make them similar to the Bulgarian or Byzantine ones, since the romanian countries had influences from Byzantine empire during the Pecheneg and Bulgarian wars
Love what you've done. My only minor gripe is in calling Oriental Orthodox "Apostolic Christianity." All major Christian churches: Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox are Apostolic. This comes from the fact that all believe in the apostolic succession. The Apostles who were breathed on by Christ and given the ability to bind and loose sin, and all those ordained after them retain these abilities and represent an unbroken lineage between fhr Apostles and Christ. When differing between Protestantism (particularly low church Protestantism) and the non Protestant churches, one can say "Apostolic churches," and one can know that you are talking about non Protestant churches, as they do not adhere to Apostolic succession (High Church Lutherans and Anglicans might be the only Protestant denominations that could or would honestly lay claim to such a thing) Tl;Dr calling Oriental Orthodox Church "Apostolic Christianity" while true, is a poor name, as the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches also believe in Apostolic succesion. I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but in case you didn't know, now you do!
Impressive work, Gudea. Already, you've increased the immersion and replayability of Chivalry tenfold. I'm so glad you've added the Baltic crusades. Someday it would be lovely to see a Sweden faction added to fully round out the North.
I personally enjoy much slower battles than in Rome and Rome remastered. Is there a possibility that you could make a sub-mod for longer and more immersive battles? I am not a fan of melee combat that lasts 30 seconds.
