I have this in 8 weeks for the first time (no rope) and this was really helpful! Would you recommend any accessory exercises specifically for truck pull?
I think it’s pretty unique that will get massive returns from specificity. Pulling a heavy sled where you can replicate similar body angle or ExerGenie is incredibly useful. Or back to back tug o’war has been useful for me in the past! How did it go in comp?
I have created a prowler out of a medium oil tank. Cleaned it out. Cut out a door on the side with hinges and locks. I used 25kg drums of water and large bags of sand for weight. I have connector bolts mounted at each end of the tank, to connect rope/harness. I also have a bolt attached to a tree, at the field's edge. This enables me to connect a thick rope to pull, using my hands as well as the harness connected to the tank. It works a treat and is kept in a field at our house. (sorry about the parable, but just giving you context) You mentioned footwear. Have you ever heard of, or encountered heavy pulling on grass? If so what footwear would you recommend? I used rugby boots or hiking boots (if it's very dry). Both work ok. Just wondered if there was an alternative.
