Very informative. I just tested this feature on my last event. I did explain to my client and they were very understanding. I posted a video via the Facebook group. I need more testing. Lol.

They sell a dual pack of the smart mic, which i just bought, so 1 can be on charger while other is in use. Still waiting on my chips n guac and the smart mikes to arrive to test though. I also have a rode wirless go "dummy" mic that i hope these will clip into, seems like a much more straightforward setup if it works. Also i think the smark mikes u can adjust the sensitivity or in the ipad u can afjust if they are 2 hot / loud

That’s great! I haven’t been able to figure out adjusting the volume in the iPad, I don’t know that there is one. There are no “settings” within the app to adjust as far as I know. But if you find something please update here so we can all learn! I’d love to figure out a solution to that.

@@ownyourmomentco i got them in the mail 2day. I stand corrected u can only adjust volume in their app. Doesnt work with third party apps

Such a great info. I bought this mic but no sound, not sure what I am doing wrong 😩 if you can please let me know if you came across this issue?

Couple of things to check: 1) is it connected via Bluetooth (do you see the headphone icon in the top right corner)? 2) unmute the sound when you play it back (top right corner of the video that you filmed) My guess is that it’s #2 as the sound is automatically muted after recording. Let me know if that helps!

The same thing is happening to me. And I just can hear the sound when I turn of the mic at Salsa or when the customer received it through the link by text or email. But If the customer wants to see it in the live gallery at Salsa booth can’t hear it because the mic is connected via bluetooth and no sounds is going out.

I purchase them individually right now because not every event is a print event. You can find them on Amazon for as low as $20, sometimes less. Other elements involved are tape runner (adhesive) from Michael’s (or any craft supply store) and the metallic pens are also sourced from Amazon.

I’ve done a 4 hour event as is but was also obsessively checking the battery life haha to be safe I’d recommend having a backup OR test the microphone yourself and see how long it lasts

@@ownyourmomentco thanks! One more question, when you swap out mics, do you have to stop the photobooth to make sure it’s connected or can you know some other way? When I’m in the salsa app on guided access I would have to take the iPad out of the booth to double check anything outside of the salsa app.

You can see the headphone icon on the top right corner of the screen. I go over this more in my “prep for an event” video You shouldn’t have to take the iPad out even when using guided access. There’s a tool that comes with the booth (or you can purchase it separately) that allows you to touch the power button without removing it. amzn.to/3s0LfDQ

I pulled the trigger and grabbed this microphone and while I can see that the mic is connected, the video side of the app works, but the audio was and is not able to be heard. Do you have any suggestions on what might be the issue? Thanks so much.

There’s a small volume button on the top right once you have the video feature on. When you’re playing it back you’ll see it on the top right corner, it is automatically turned off for some reason. You just need to click it to turn on.

@@djshizz5677 not a silly question! It's so hard to explain it. It's similar to how on Instagram or TikTok or even RU-vid if a video is muted you have to click the 🔈(volume) button on the salsa app. So it'll be on the salsa app on the ipad when you have it up and running. I think I have a video where I show it. I'll go look and report back if I find it.

Found it. On this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7jUmMOsx9Dw.html minute 7:30, watch until 8:10. You'll see me enable audio capture within the salsa app and then you'll also see me really quickly hitting the top right corner when I'm viewing the recording.

@@ownyourmomentco oh…I gotcha. I may need to take the ipad out of the Salsa and hit the side buttons. Duh!😂 I promise I’m normally sharper than I’m appearing right now👀😝
