Have a photo booth business and have no idea where to begin pricing your photo booth? I have been there! Pricing your photo booth so that it is profitable and worth it for you and your business goals is one of the toughest challenges to face when starting out. The truth of the matter is, there is no right or wrong way. In this video I share how I determined my photo booth pricing as well as some tips so you can figure out yours as well.

Another informative video. I’m gonna start getting quotes to see what people are charging and then base my prices on that. I’m also taking into consideration the quality of their photos iPad bs dslr/mirrorless camera (salsa bar quac). I have my first booking which will be a free event for my cousins wedding and plan to have business cards to hand out and some other goodies like magnets.

Hey. Is doing good. Usually Dicember and January are slow but, starting February I started new buckings for weddings and Quinceañera parties in my town.

That’s exciting! With your connections you could be really successful with a Photo Booth rental service! I would definitely suggest as you’re starting out to do a free event or two. This can help you get content to be able to advertise/market it alongside your existing business and will provide proof of concept. I’m sure you also attend bridal expos and open houses, which are also great ways to demo the booths capabilities

Thanks for the info! Do you find it better for clients to pay the full payment upfront? Or set up a payment plan?

It’s pretty standard in the industry to take a retainer at booking and then the balance prior to the event date. I require the remaining balance to be paid 30 days prior. Most, if not all, Photo Booth companies operate this way, while the amount they retain varies. Checkout the retainer versus deposit video!

Very helpful video! What’s your opinion on the guac and chips photo booth? Would it be a better investment to start a business with the guac and chips than with the salsa?

Great question and to be honest this completely depends on your previous knowledge and how you want to run your business. From a financial standpoint you can purchase almost 3 salsas for the price of 1 Guac, so if you’re looking to scale quickly, salsa is the way to go because you can do multiple events. I’m doing a ton of research to start a partnership in the booth business. I have no plans to go photography at all but…I have several (3) professional photographers that I plan to recommend (I know their quality) I think it might be a great option for you. My ultimate goal is to not only offer another great local business, but to also almost partner up in a way with the hope/goal that they’ll suggest my business as well when they get an inquiry for photography. We’ll see how it goes!! 🤞🏻

What do you think of charging a certain amount per hour and that amount going up based on adding things? Same concept but this lets them customize the amount of time.

I do this! Starting at a set amount of hours and then providing add ons. I go into detail on this is my honeybook videos.

Great info. I currently offer 2 packages. 1 digital 2-3 hrs and 2nd printing 3hrs. But I’m noticing not everyone likes to use boomerang, gif or videos. Even though I explain how much fun it is to use , they just don’t want to try it, especially older guest. Sooo I’m re-evaluating my prices and options to offer in these packages. I’ve research prices in LA county ,CA and it’s very competitive.

You bring up a really good point. Location, demographics, all of it play a role in this business. The important thing here is to do exactly what you’re doing which is 1) recognize what is and isn’t working 2) make adjustments accordingly. Then the next step would be to really figure out what you can do to stand out. What is something that you’re good at that can maybe set you apart? Or is there something you can add to your business that maybe no one else is…

if you wanted specific info from her you should hire her to do consulting... the title of the video is "tips for how to price your photobooth" if the video didnt meet your expectations thats on you. the entitlement out here is crazzzy... yall be wanting people to hold your hand and show you stuff step by step for FREE... im thankful for the advice she shared because she didnt have to do that much smhh
