Welcome Maxwell. It takes mental strength to slow down and focus. A lot of guys think Pilates is too minimal until they do it. I used Pilates to train my son and other boys for football and track. They would be dying but got stronger and flexible quickly

@@CR-vb2rx Thank you! Yes I wished I knew about pilates back when I was playing football! I did that and wrestled and I know it would've helped tremendously both in performance and preventing injuries. Oh well, glad I know about it now at least.

Did this absolutely kill me as a beginner, trying this for the first time? YES Am I discouraged to do it again? NOT AT ALL😊 I absolutely loved this video, other beginner pilates videos make me dread doing them because most exercises are very fast, being done within a time limit, kind of makimg them feel like a chore. however this doesn't feel rushed and the chats you have during the exercises make it feel as if this is something you do more to socialise and chill whist your core and glutes are burning😂 Thank you ❤

Hi beautiful! Your pilates classes are amazing, I love your voice, how you talk about your life and the whole vibe is so relaxing. You've got a very unique style and love it 🥰🥰 I bought a pilates book a while ago but I didn't read it. Lately my inner voice has been telling me Pilates might be the best for me. So I started reading the book and was so surprised by all the benefits Pilates can offer and I didn't know. I started looking for YT videos and it's mostly white women, but I wanted to find someone who looks similar to me. You're the first one and maybe the only one I've found, and God I'm so grateful ❤️ I already feel stronger, my balance and my back pain are getting so much better & I've only been doing this for like a week!! Pilates is life! Thank you so much 😊😊

I've been in a workout slump recently and miss going to pilates class (I moved to a very remote town, there's not even a gym ... whomp whomp), so thank you for making videos like these to help me get back into it!

These workouts are so great for people with joint problems (EDS in my case)! Highly recommend. Also Isa is so charming and likable and makes everything so fun. Laughed out loud during rolling like a ball!

I loved this workout. It left me feeling so strong. After years of doing yoga I got really flexible but not that strong and my back really suffers. I think this beginner videos are really helping at slowly strengthening my core. Thanks again girl!!

Loved this, almost cursed your name during the million hour long bridge, but I loved it overall. Being in poses for an extended time is so meditative, I started to not even really feel the pain anymore. So cool

After doing your session I decided to do it on daily basis and I am also dancer and injured my knee so I guess pilates is good for strengthening and thank you. it was painful I mean no pain no gain but I'll get stronger as I do it regularly

Hi I'm 26 years old mother of twin boys and I have finally decided to work on improving my overall health and when I was doing research, I found that Pilates is the best core workout programme. This is my first day and I felt like I was dying already 😂. I've never workout in my life so this was an eye opener for me. I look forward to improving as we grow, thank you so much. I'll be repeating this video until I can follow all your instructions without taking in between breaks. So glad I found you, thank you for your work 😁

I love this workout. I have just started a regular exercise regime sponsored by work. I realized from those sessions that I need to build up strength. You said that clearly and showed it through example. You are amazing and everything all these comments say about you!

I loved this video! so many times i get discouraged from trying to exercise but lacking the stength that much exercise videos need, which means i never get stronger :( i appreciate so much having someone lead me in a slow, controlled, truly beginner's level routine, because then i am really able to do the movements as they should be done, really feel the workout! and i feel success to keep going! and it doesn't put as much stress on my body as really fast paced videos that are kind of popular right now. thank you soooo much IsaWelly! keep them coming

I discovered I relapsed in my health journey having gained 30 lbs and this has been a big help getting me back on that horse. I feel pathetic huffing and tired not even 10 minutes into doing this but thank you for these! I appreciate the help

About to be 36 this coming Friday and am just getting into Pilates (running is my jam) so I have been looking around for beginner videos and this was sooo perfect!! Been watching your videos for couple months and am so grateful I feel the difference in my core, and have been able to understand my body more. Although I just have a question about how you recommend doing crunches when your lower abs are not strong enough to lift your shoulders off the ground that much. I used my neck too much for all my life, and i feel how it only hurts me not helps but i just can’t get my upper torso up without using my entire lower back. Just looking for some tips!

IsaWelly, I couldn't understand why I can't see your tummy button move much when you breathe in, but then I watched the original Lynne Robinson video showing that Pilates breathing should widen the ribcage instead. That answered my question but even so I'm finding it very difficult to learn altered breathing and also to understand and combine with zip and hollow. Many gentle ab exercises cause me to start huffing and puffing and holding my breath, and I feel overwhelmed with the basics. My back, butt and sacrum areas are weak and sore from years of sitting so I would also appreciate any help with this stuff. The details you have in this video were very helpful. A video just about breathing, with zip and hollow broken right down would be a life saver. Thank you again, merci beaucoup, and I will keep practicing 💕😎

just found your channel while looking for beginner's pilates core videos.. i loved this! i have a very weak core and even most beginner's workouts haven't done much, probably because i haven't practiced much of that mind to muscle connection... i'm so weak that i can't even do the roll up while holding my knees HAHAHAHA but i'm going to revisit this video often and just practice engaging my core muscles and hopefully slow & steady work will help! thank you for this video :)
