What is really nice about this is that the 'easy' verses don't sound dumbed down, just that you're choosing to keep it pulled back

A little stop before the breakdown to say that I'm glad to see happy-Paul-days going on 😊 and then we get this exceptionally beautiful piece of music ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you, Paul. Stay well and inspired (as I suggested before, a new pedal always helps... even if you are practicing detachment 😁👌)

You are most certainly out of your music rut. Lovely playing, and having recently bought myself an SG junior, I can rejoice in the simplicity and purity of its design. What seems like a one trick pony, actually frees you up as a player, and as you have so ably demonstrated… the single pickup vol and tone has a very musical palette when combined with great touch and inventiveness .

Gonny huv tae spend a bit of time on this. But as ever excellent. Now I have to decide which guitar to employ and whether to switch to a red wine rather than white. I'll stay in the same key though. Fingers crossed! Thanks Paul. Nice new trainers! 🎉

Awesome playing, love that "bend then touch the harmonic at the octave" technique you were doing. Love that guitar, I'll be getting the factory tobacco burst soon. Keep playing these beautiful tones, you are one of the best players I've come across on this platform.

Sorry to be late but: I love listening to you. Been playing a really long time and you're a unique and welcome addition to YT. I'm loving the older Stormy Monday tele vids and wanted to ask 1) did you need to route yours? I set My52 up the same way and did need to route - a CS 52, heavy Relic ..I'm using something similar except a BG1400 stacked bridge from Messrs. Duncan & Co and a Stormy Monday, 280k super pot by CTS and a bourn 500k no load tone ... the lesson is great, good mix of 'why and how' plus the approach. I've played all over the world but was content to settle into a stay at home ' real world' job .. though I manage to play out and collect as a hobby - keeping it fun. I don't have your skills but can get a decent tune out..also I'm a bit older and finally retired ...just wanted you to know how much you're appreciated here ... I'm in CA,USA so the custom shop is a short drive ... and my tech is a former CS employee so I get out therre once in a blue moon and my guy takes care of my too large collection.. but I'd still run from the fire with my 52 and R4 oxblood LP so we have at least one thing in common. Cheers Paul for your efforts and kind sharing

Hi Fmkrowa. Firstly, sorry for my late reply, I’m just catching up 🤣. Secondly, what a lovely comment to leave! Genuinely, it’s made me smile to think that players like yourself, thousands of miles away in USA, are enjoying listening to the musical ramblings of a Scotsman in his spare bedroom. That’s amazing and it keeps me going. Gotta say, I’m particularly jealous to read that you have an Oxblood Les Paul…. I don’t think there’s anything cooler than that 👌. Anyway, warm greetings to you in California. Cheers

@@paulstaffordcook8799 Thanks, my LP has Bareknuckles, Mules wired Jimmy Page style but I never use the trick settings. I see we have a lot in common guitar wise. I have a few Gretsch’s Anni, 6120, W Falcon, 2 Duo’s and a Country Gent. Also love Jim Camp for the ‘lessons’! I get schooled every listen!

I had to laugh..."Hope you enjoyed that" (4:50) Mate, that was mesmerising. Brilliant. One question; when you do these solos, how many takes/how many fails before you go live with it? If it's a one-take jam then I'm giving up the guitar and taking up falconry. Thank you, by the way; a lot of work in this whole vid which we get to take for free. It is very much appreciated.

Hi raslolayton. Firstly, sorry for late reply, I’m just catching up now 🤣. I’m delighted you liked my little bit of music here. And I have good news for you, before you rush off to trade your guitar in for a Kestrel. It takes me MANY takes! On average? Probably 10 takes. Sometimes I get lucky and take no.1 or 2 is the keeper. Other times I’m literally sweating my way through take 15 and trying to stay calm and inspired, when all I really want to do is launch my guitar out the window. Cheers 🍻
