PLEASE READ BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION =)
Ok so i know this video is a long one but i really go into 'how' to do acrylic nails as if u were sitting in front of me. Im not really that good with explaining things so i hope u could follow each step i did. I did this video mostly in real time, i had to speed up doing my left hand because this video was long enough lol but only sped it up by x2 or less.
Other good acrylic products for beginners are Young nails and Organic nails, these dont really dry fast so u do have a nice amount of time to create ur nail.
I will leave some other links that i think will be interesting if ur just starting out:
LIQUID TO POWDER RATIO TO GET THE PERFECT ACRYLIC BALL:
• Video
NAIL PREP BEFORE ACRYLIC APPLICATION:
• Video
HOW TO FILE YOUR NAILS USING AN EFILE:
• Video
HOW TO REMOVE ACRYLIC NAILS:

Here is the link to the electric drill that i use but as i said in the video u must start out using a sand band then when ur used to using them, then go onto the carbide drill bits that u can get them off Ebay.

I have a video request, for us newbies learning to do acrylics. Can you do a Q:A video where we send u a pic of what we did and maybe u can guide us into the right direction...For example my acrylics look fat near the cuticles and if u could take a look and see how I could fix that....just thought I'd be fun 2 see other people's work and the struggles we share as we learn nails!! xoxo thanks Tampa Florida newbie

I have a very understated style, not to mention I make my living as a furniture upholsterer, so I don't see myself wearing acrylic nails, but I'm fascinated by the engineering and artistry that goes into them.

This is probably one of the best videos ive seen that is really beginner friendly! I really appreciate the fact that you mentioned some beginner friendly products as well. I learned to do gel nails thinking it would be easier but its not and its time consuming so im ready to switch to acrylic and your video is very helpful thank you!!

Arie Antonia Ooooh ur very welcome Arie, I tried to do some gel nails, I got all the products I needed, even did a couple of videos but I just couldn't get the hang of it either! In my opinion acrylic is a lot easier to master lol All the advise I can give u is to get decent acrylic (nothing with Chinese writing on it!), watch a lot of videos then practise practise practise =) Good luck hun x

Absolute Nails omg ok.. wait a second... Ok.. I bought a big kit from Ebay straight from China. Acrylic powder, the liquid, brushes, everything. I tried it and it was like so difficult.. I mean it was so messy. Every time I tried to put a bead on, it would get thick and dry quick, BUT it would dry completely! So when I put a new bead on top of that, the bead that was on the nail already wasn't dry yet and it would mend together and become a big blob that wouldn't move well and would be sticky. Is this because of the China stuff?? Does getting nice professional stuff really make a big difference or is it not that big of a difference?

Your technique and approach to the non dominate hand, your description of of how to apply and the amazing manner you approach this video was A one. I have had my nails done for years by "qualified nail techs" who nave nothing on you only to come home and reshape and correct their blunders. Starting doing my own and I am so much happier. You gave me tips that helped me so much. Can't thank you enough.

tyvm nicki, your better than some qualified, I have followed u since be4ginning doing my own nails about 6 months ago im getting more and more ambitious and get a lot of nice comments . I did a 3 day nail course 3 years ago but too frightened to do others. just started doing the sculpted nails as u and your vids have enticed me to go to this level. I love them but there ultra long, though not practical and difficult to wipe ass lol, only for princesses cant help it love the glam look. u have always inspired me and I love your passion and keenness to help all of us followers. ur work is brilliant, creative and glamorous . your reviews of products are also really really useful but cost me a fortune as I value your opinion, the nails are addictive !!! .... please do indepth sculpted would love to grab your tips an input as your the black belt in nails. gud work mrs

I am slowly getting there! You such a great job teaching how to do certain techniques! I am definitely a beginner; I used to get my nails done every 2 weeks, but the cost is crazy! I think I am going to buy some of those things you put your swatches on and try to do some acrylics on those. If I do some thing every day I think I will be able to get more experience without having acrylic all over my fingers...lol Right now, I use the dual forms and that helps me immensely! I don't have acrylic all over my fingers; it allows me to do part of it one day and the rest when I have the time. Thank you for sharing! I love all of your videos! I am going to purchase so many things from NAIO; but I have to save up the money; as the shipping is very high for those of us who live in the USA. So, I figured if I got everything at once it would be to my benefit! And when you said their acrylic liquid DOES NOT STINK; I was in HEAVEN! All the liquids I have ever purchased have not smelled good at all. So, that is why I am saving and getting everything I want at one time; so it will not be so expensive for me. Thank you! Keep the videos coming!

I have just purchased a starter acrylic kit from Naio. I watched your video where you demonstrate the different acrylic systems. Since I'm a beginner in acrylic and not experienced I was just going to get a cheap one from Hong Kong from ebay. However, I'm so glad I didn't! The naio one seemed best for me. It's been delivered today between 9 and 10 am. I am excited but scared lol. I'm more experienced with UV/LED Gel. Even though you're not a Professional I would definitely have my nails done by you. Keep up the FANTASTIC work. Ignore the 'shit comments.' Love from a fellow Stokie ❤
@AbsoluteNails
@AbsoluteNails 7 лет назад
Sophie Yeeeeey fellow Stokie 👋!! Another suggestion would be practising on a few loose nails before applying it on nails that are attached to ur fingers! Just to get the feel of the acrylic first. Good luck hunni and thank you for ur lovely message xx
@imasavage8577
@imasavage8577 7 лет назад
Absolute Nails. Thanks for your reply. I have been practicing on the little fingers. It's not too bad for a beginner. one thing I didn't get was an acrylic brush because I didn't read the starter pack properly and I assumed a brush would be in the kit. Since you're a fellow Stokie 😆 do you know a shop where I can purchase one today?. I was thinking maybe Rymans (partners). I know they have brushes for painting maybe I might strike lucky and get a natural hair one. Thank youuuuu xx
@AbsoluteNails
@AbsoluteNails 7 лет назад
Sophie To be honest u will be wasting ur money buying from there hun, there brushes are more for painting. My advise would be buy one from Naio, see if they do a number 8 brush, if not get the 10. They have a brown wooden handle. If we lived in America I could tell u what shops to buy from but u probably know how crap the UK is for selling acrylic stuff lol xx

Awww thanks for the advice. So kind. I know you have beginners acrylic vids already. And I know you love the eccentric nails but my nails break when they're long because of work. Is it possible for you to do an easy wearable acrylic nail for beginners? Maybe with a 'baby boomer' gel polish too? Just an idea. ❤

youre seriously awesome. There is one tiny little thing that bothers me a little here is with your e-file, you are filing from outside to inside your nail, for begginers especially, i would highly recommend the revense: going aound the cuticle area, then from bottom to top of the nails, to help avoid cuts and get more control. But i really love everything about this video !

I commented on a poppit video that I was getting lifting every time despite good prep.... It was the frickin' liquid! Went to a different Sally' s that had the liquid that goes with the powder I already bought.... 2 weeks later and ZERO lifting! Even digging in the garden, laundry, dishes, etc. They look awfully good for a newbie - even my husband commented on them. I know from watching your channel for a long time that you love stiletto nails, but wondering if you could demo shaping for coffin nails, especially shorter ones? Love the look as an alternative to square I usually do, but can't seem to get it to look right. Thanks so much!

Yes thank you! Very detailed especially about the products you used. I do have a question, when I dip powder in the liquid and used the brush to put it on my nail the brush kept slipping off the acrylic. Could it be the brush itself? I have really small nails what size brush would be best?

Hello I just want to say that all of your nail tutorials are amazing and very detailed. I'm left handed and I see that doing nail with my non dominant hand is so complicated but you gave a great point on how to do nails with non dominant hand so thank you for that 😊. I have a question regarding nail preparation and carbide Is it okay to use a cuticle stone and is it important to sterilize the cuticle pusher and tools before prepping the nails? And far as the carbide is there carbide with a rounded top I can use some people called a "safety bit"or something? I would like for you to do a video on sculptured nails using nails forms for beginners
