This is the best and most informative video I've watched on the Scicon Aerocomfort. Much appreciated!

My suggestion using Scicon Tribag 3.0 1. Take out the RD 2. Mine comes with foams for handlebars, tribars, toptube..should use that 3. No need to flatten the tires, especially if it were tubless with sealant..south of 10-20psi is enough 4. Bring rotor truing tool along. Mine got a little bent while transported

This is very useful. So do the tubeless tyres fit in this bag even if not completely deflated? What is a rotor truing?

In last my trip from Ironman Texas to NYC delta broke my wheel and derailleur they are putted something very heave on my side bike case which was the same Scicon 3.0 - so I very recommend to put extra foam isolation inside the bag ( plumber pipes isolation or foam swimming pool noodle )

Taren I've been watching your videos for years and definitely love them. Great idea of putting this one up but there's definitely some tips and tricks you missed that you've told us in the past. Maybe you could do an advanced packing video later. I loved your suggestion of putting a small piece of wood by the bars to hold them wide in case the bike gets smashed it presses on the wood instead of the bars. Also you've mentioned in the past never pack anything in the bag you can't rent or buy on race day just in case the bike doesn't show up. Removing the derailleur can be a bit of a pain but it is such cheap insurance because I have seen so many break and ruin someone's weekend. And my last bit of criticism is you suggested wrapping the bike in towels however that bag comes with pads, where were they at LOL. Keep up the great work keep the content coming!!

Probably already have it factored in, but if not, might want to really watch the forecast and/or incorporate heat acclimation in the training.. Sept in this neck of the woods (TX) can still be quite hot. This week it's forecasted for record highs near 100F for the next few days (Sun already set a new high at 97). A couple of years ago it didn't cool off much until mid Oct (about a week before was set to do a half marathon).. so it could easily be in the 80/90 range for highs

Pro Tip - get some hollow pool noodles then cut to length for extra frame protection. Costs around $5 for 2 - cheap insurance I say

Hello! Thank you for this video! I noticed that you didn't remove the rotors. There seems to be a lot of videos and commentary on how the rotors should be removed before travelling with your bike. Are you able to comment on this? Thank you!

Hi! I’m curious about the next step: will such a bag fit in the trunk of a car?

If you’re flying with a bike box especially the USA 🇺🇸 then use a TSA lock or/with cable ties cause the fuckers will brake your locks and possibly the bike box with it if you use standard locks

Great video. I'm looking at this travel bag for my tri bike but I'm also considering a hard case like the bikebox alan. The only issue with a hard case is because of the size especially when you get to your destination for transport. Thoughts?

Firstly, no one should buy this bag if you have a nice bike - just look at the amount of Pro's that have had nightmares (Paula Findlay recently) with snapped frames. This bike bag is great for convenience, but it doesn't protect your bike atall. Also, it's advisable to take disc rotors off, takes 5 seconds and stops them being bent.

What would recommend? I’ve been looking at Bikebox Alan but the size is what is holding back.

@@richardt9692 Bikebox Alan is probably the best on the market and arguably the safest option for your bike.

If you put some tape on the seat post you cannot advance the seat down tape will prevent any advancement just use a magic marker also this bag is absolutely terrible your handlebars are exposed for someone to throw 50 pound bag on top of it and snap it.
