OMG! You have no idea how much I have been waiting for this 'moving in the Philippines' vlog to be uploaded, and now it's finally here. I know being independent for the first time is extremely tough as you are carrying a big responsibility that lies on your shoulder, but you only feel it in the beginning. You will get used to it as time passes by and I am pretty sure it's going to be addicting living alone. I'm so happy for you.

I can totally relate with loving to live alone!! I used to live in a dorm for school, but covid happened and i had to go back home. It wasn't that i didnt like my family, but I found myself really missing living at my own pace and taking care of myself only. Cheers to the new place! I hope to live alone at such a young age as well

miss jessica: remember to always have the keys with you whenever you go out (from your place.) try to make it a habit. and yes the essentials, garbage bags and other stuff... those grocery items too. 😅 i understand the hassles of moving in.

Hi Jessica. I suggest that you take pictures of the “areas” inside your unit with problem/s. They might charge you for damage later. Further, did they explain about meralco bills, water consumption, association dues - where and when you will pay them? Have you check if it easy to get a taxi from that place? Take care always! 🤗

It's a common reason actually. The normal thing in PH. Many Filipinos live in the countryside but work in cities. Then they end up renting near to their workplace to avoid heavy traffic.

It’s his job. Condos have personnel who are assigned to do that. And it’s really 1000 for other condos as well.

I think Jessica having a "love team" will take her follower count to greater heights and up her celebrity status to a whole another level. Filipinos are obsessed with shipping people together and seeing a reality-based love story unfold in front of their eyes. I sure hope she dates a pinoy and vlog her experiences and learnings there. Jessica thanks for showing the experience of commuting for foreigners. I have an interesting proposition for you to vlog: RIDING THE FERRY TO QUIAPO, BINONDO & INTRAMUROS. No one as widely followed like you has vlogged about it. I wish you all the best in Manila. I lived there briefly before moving to Camiguin Island. I couldn't take the traffic, pollution, cockroaches, electric and water disruptions, and poor air quality. Down on the island I have fresh air, no traffic, fresh seafood and a great market offering fresh fruits and vegetables. It's a little isolated, but I fall asleep every night to the sound of crickets and ocean waves instead of car alarms and motorcycles missing their mufflers.

My Aunt given me her one bedroom unit in Eastwood. I tried to live there I lasted for about a 20 months. I missing our house the people that I normally encounter on my every day life. I go back to Binangonan 😂. Living alone is boring. Though good thing I do not have to spend more time to travel to go to work. And there is lot of amenities living in condo. Like pool gym. Etc. But for me hometown Binangonan Rizal it's still the best place for me hehe

Hi Jessica! I'd suggest taking pictures of all the imperfections (dents, stains) for when you move out in the future. In case they may charge you for damages in the condo

Tip if you have a different charging adapter going abroad or anywhere. You can check the TV or the router/modem if it has a USB port you can charge it there. I did this when I was in Jeju because my charger was a bit huge and doesn't fit the interior of the plug in the hotel so I charged my devices on the TV and on the router.

Happened to me too in Mandaluyong twice. 1st the they used duplicate key but 2nd they cant find duplicate key so they replace d the door knob.

How I wish I had the same courage and being brave as you are. I am ashamed of myself, since I was a kid up until now, I didn’t experience living alone. I may either living with my family or with my relatives. I am in my late 20’s and I never had a courage trying to live alone. It doesn’t mean that I don’t do household chores that’s why I don’t want live alone and be independent but I am afraid about the upcoming bills when you are living alone😅 especially if you have the feeling that your job might not be for you or it’s not stable yet😔

Make sure everything is turn off before living your house since you are alone living because when you are so tired and no one is reminding you about many things sometimes the tendency is so many things you forgot to turn off like the lights aircon.elec.fan.charger.gas tank...etc.

I hope you enjoy your new place. I hope you bought at BGC or McKinley Hills. The locksmith was picking the lock. That's a U.S. style outlet. You could buy and adapter from SM. We bought our furniture for our condo from Mandaue Foam.
