Have never seen a roll bar built this way. It does save a lot of room inside the car. Your friends and ego brought you to this point. Watching all your friends building cars to race, them egging you on to get involved and have as much fun as they were having. Pier pressure is a very powerful thing! It is hard to fight! And then you gave in and your ego took over and here you are!

Late happy birthday Hayden! When thing esclates is when you still feel it has potential to go faster. It's a deep hole when you have feel for it and comes with ideas that would/could work. Feels like you stepping up big time and then there is much about safety involved. When you are getting really fast. It's for a reason all of the safety features is there. Cause when you get the power down to the ground and it sticks. You are going up in crazy speeds on the tracks. And things happens sadly and then you know why you took the safety of things seriously. If you don't then that's the last thing you do in life many times. So looking forward to see the RX7 goes fast and protects you this season. For the holes in the floor pan you should just use fiberglass to fill them if they are small.

Offbeat garage has a really good video on notching. Sometimes you might have a crazy notch you can’t do with the machine and will have to do with a angle grinder. You should check out the video, he uses a website to print out templates that go on the bars to give you the perfect notch. Good luck on the build bro it’s turning out amazing

I get the point that tying the 4 link into the cage would be the best option...but I also get that you spent like a whole season getting it to the point that it’s finally 60’ing good and don’t wanna start all over lol.

It’s pretty ballsy to cut the “frame rails” out before gusseting, and fully welding up the tube frame to the car. The chassis had to of “tweaked” a little once you cut them out. I guess as long as the doors still close, it’ll be ok. Am I wrong?

Make the inside frame bolt up to the underneath do you can get the drive shaft out and easyer to work on

All the time man... Fir example.. I always wanted a 110 defender... Now because kids im ripping out the stock rear bench seats and fitting modern ones wuth headrests and building a cage to combat the pancake tendancy in a roll... Howd i end up here for sure.

I would just hack the floor out and make a quick aluminum floor pan you have acess to a shear and brake I'm sure shawn would teach you

The driveshaft won’t be that bad to get out. Just slide it beside the pumpkin in the back. I have a chassis car, Same crap. And I didn’t catch mutch of the trans but if it’s a turbo 400 a blanket might be good. The clutches are heavy in those things. Not in a glide tho
