Begode EX30 REVIEW : The most POWERFUL 20" Electric Unicycle with suspension ?

What is the actual range of this? I am looking at this because at a store near me it's listed as the one with the maximum range more so than any other scooter or wheel. I also need to know if it'll hold up in the rain and how long I can expect it to last. I've been selling my old eBikes and random other stuff trying to get money together because I'm sick of how much my old eBikes break down and how much it costs me to repair things so I'm looking for something with insane range that can take me 216 KM from Waterloo Ontario to Tobermory Ontario on one charge.

I think I can live with the design as-is because at least the maintenance is reasonably easy compared to some other more finished-looking wheels. And it's good to hear that the pedals and suspension work as-is. I bought the Master and so far, I like it, but I don't like the upgrades required out of the box (suspension, fairings, pads).

I have ordered this wheel and LOVE the “unfinished” look. I have a Master now and plan to keep both, Master for trails, EX for longer range cruising.

I couldn't be happier with my ex30.. glad I chose it over a sherman s.. does what the ss does and much more.. like the ss it's one of the best wheels that does it all in one wheel..I love it offroad as much as on the street.. it's game changing on every level.. the stock pads are the only thing that don't look good.. minus those it looks very sleek to me and add kinetic pads and it's perfectly locked in and looks much better.. the build quality for Begode is next level for them and long may this trend continue and improve..the lower center of gravity and wider rim are game changing and a first in any wheel in terms of stability and nimbleness..I don't need to go to 60mph but like you say the faster the wheel the safer it is in terms of headroom before cutting out.. the ex30 suspension is great (quiet, cushy, no clanking or bottoming out like older begode wheels and adjustable on the fly but can easily be upgraded to be as great as the ss.. but you can't upgrade the ss to the ex30 performance.. the videos of it clipping stairs are fake.. no issues at all so long as you have reasonable air pressure in the shock and tire.. best bang for your buck at this price point

Good review 👍 Begode is putting out too many wheel variations. Are they trying to pls everyone and suffering in quality? I would like to see a 3 wheels that that cover everything you could want but higher quality, much higher.. Cheers

Sounds like you have a slight biased against BG's modular design. I get that plus the looks isnt for everyone. Much like I personally am not crazy bout the v13 looks either. SS looks nicer but end of the day, I dont ride looks. I dont ride hi tech displays. I ride torque I ride muscle. Not so much top speed as 50 is more than enough but how I get there & more importantly how I stop. If a wheel dont stop well, its pointless going fast. I want handling which means a tighter stiffer suspension rather than cushy comfort, kinda like a sportsbike vs cruiser. Seems like this ex30 is for me. Thanks for the vid

Great vid! Everyone seems to be a fan of the low center of gravity/stability of the EX30. How does the stability compare to that of the Sherman S, in your experience?

I agree in your aesthetic refinement concerns. IMO, 4k shouldn’t be about subtracting, but adding to the aesthetics. Even though there seems to be many positive gains by Begode, it feels as if cutting production cost is in competition with the performance. I am still uncomfortable as a EUC consumer paying 4 k for what we are receiving. IMO, the V13’s the closest to demanding 4 k, and being justifiable, but we know there are a few areas they promised that have not been met. Thanks

Great review … nothing to hate about the things you don’t like. Sure, the gap below the seat looks ugly with all the bare wires, but that’s probably a small price to pay (just a hunch) compared to the benefit of a reduced torque and yaw that the gap permits in crosswinds that could have the V13 and sherman riders see their lives flash before their eyes. It would be nice to get your opinion after testing the different EUCs in crosswinds.

Great review, as always. I still ride my master, which I like very much, however I ride hard enough that I can overtorque it quite regularly on hard brakings (I sent you on Instagram the custom 3D printed pads extension I created in order to use the old begode pads that we both like). Plus it feels a bit too top heavy, else I ride it at 70 to 80 km/h all the time. Do you recommend the Sherman S or the EX30 for my use case ? Very hard acceleration (I can heat the master to 60° c even by 10 to 15°c outside temp) and braking, I need about 50km of high speed (70 km/h) range, anything above this won't be used. If it is also comfortable that'd be great... Thanks !

Excellent review I love the brutal looks... l had my Ex30 since early February, only put on 300 miles....the acceleration to 40mph is like no other wheel... I hate the cst tyre on all of my other begode wheels, but I guess due to the wider rim this time it just works, even though I already bought replacement michelin pilot street 80/100, I am in no rush to change it.

Nice Video mate, I have the exact opposite opinion about this wheel's look as I LOVE the Modular design versus the sherman s& v13 where you cannot change the certain things and others are much harder top access them. I find the sheer joy of the begode power to be the game changer for me and the reason I choose this over the sherman s or v13 or any other cruiser class wheel. I have a s22 for my jumping and trail fix and this is going to be my main street cruiser, I simply didnt feel the same about the others wheels esp. since I am a Big 6'4" 270lb s guy. U notice the difference in power and I dont have any trouble accessing the power of this beast. If you want a wheel with fit and finish over performance go wit h the v13, BUT dont listen tgo half of the reviewers as they will say every wheel is great and honestly NO one wheel is perfect for everyone but I do not like when I watch certain people always giving every wheel a great review ( its just me) I think the v13 is a wheel meant for Inmotion Fans. it is way over priced for the LACK of batteries and while it has the best IP rating and great handle design, it is huge skinny wheel and the power (torque felt under whelming)! On a straight line the v13 has great speed but it just doent have the ease of even a master pro for turning and the master pro is a HUGE wheel as well. I would have given the v13 a 4 out of 10 (i only had the wheel one day so I didnt have alot of time, but I had each wheel for one day (sherman s.v-13 and Ex-30) and decided the v13 was for people that love inmotion and people that dont mind a heavy over-rated 10k w motor that I thought would blow every other wheel out of the water "so to speak" I was highly 😥 let down. On to the sherman s, This is a Fantastic all around wheel imo with a fit and finish that deserves to be mentioned and screams quality. I personally felt Leaperkim missed a HUGE opportunity to make this wheel 126v like the Patton and who knows I would've probably bought the sherman sif that was the case as it is missing that ex-30 type acceleration. The patton has that and some but I am not interested in it since my size plus I still think for jumping the s22 is hands down the best wheel with terrible firmware that kingsong much like inmotion needs to hire new people to get more out of those motors. Sorry I digress,------- Back to the sherman-S, I really liked the wheel and the suspension but I didnt enjoy it as much as I do the s22 on trails and on the road I felt the ex-30 was so good, so awesome due to the battery placement. This made the ex-30 an easy choice for me as it is a road warrior with the ability to still go offroad although I dont feel it is suited for off-road a well as the Sherman-S or v-13 since its clearance is lower it still can do it fine on most trails. Anyway those are my thoughts on the 3 wheels I see alot of people matching up and there isnt any real winner since we all like different thing in life for our own personal reasons. I amnot a fanboy of any company and was actually (in the past) a heavy critique of begode for the lack of fit and finish and I would argue here with you and say this wheel is finished and is begodes best made wheel to date (until the extreme hits) I have a fairing system ready to put on my batch 3 wheel that arrives from china june 13th to my door so I cant wait. I love begodes decision to make their wheels like they do because it make it so much easier to make you wheel the way you want it or doing a tire change is simple. I cannot say that with the Sherman or v-13 and that is another reason I went with the ex-30. well whatever you like you should always try to ride it first and be a fan of the wheel that serves you best and the only true way you will be able to do that is to try these wheels before you buy!!! I cant stress this enough, I would be miserable if I bought a v13 only to try a ex-30 after and wish I decided to wait til I had the ability to try one. The 3 digits for kmh not mph.

All these new wheels lately are a waste of time and money. The companys don't learn, they don't improve they just bring out the same shit all the time. When i see this low trolley, enough reason not to buy it, and even watch the rest of the video.

Very water resistant

Wish I was experiencing on my ex30 what everyone else seems to be. My wheel feels lethargic and lumbering. I lean on the front of the peddles as hard as possible and it feels like it takes forever just to get up to 35 mph in medium mode. The worst part is, it stays at 35 mph no matter how hard I keep leaning forward. I turned off the alarms and maxed out the speed settings so I just don't have a clue why my wheel is not performing.

I really like this wheel design from Begode - easy tire change and modular design. Would be tough to decide between EX30 and Sherman S. I am glad I do not have intention to buy such a heavy wheel :D. BTW Great video!
