I am still undecided about this wheel, part of me want it just for the big tire and stability. But part of me is angry that for the amount of money you are paying, you still have to "fix it" by doing all this just to water proof it.
It rides sooo nice. But at the end of the day I always tell people to buy Sherman. The Monster Pro feels unfinished. It seems like a thousand orders were rushed out before the engineering team finished the first draft.
There is a risk of cable pinching and on the control board there are too my through hole parts which should be atleast glued. On the other hand other companies are using SMT components apart from few input capacitors.
I would not be too concerned about minimal traces of dust. Have you ever seen the inside of a computer or the engine bay of a car or behind the fairings of a motorcycle? You will find dust ANYWHERE air circulates. Wipe your finger on top of your bookshelf that is not exposed to the road or weather and you will find DUST!
Always amazes me what they do and don't put in these machines with todays tech being as it is. Shame to see Begode haven't really improved since your last teardown but it's not really surprising though! Thanks for an awesome strip down and look inside
I really hope that soon the german, austrian or other more detailed countries start producing EUCs. The quality in EUCs didnt change over the years at all... shouldnt be that hard to seel the wheels for every weather by the producers... awesome Video again adam and thanks for helping the community in so many ways... all the best gruuuuzzz Hänsel
Water ingress is a concern, but isn't air circulation required for cooling? Unless you've got filtration, you will get dust where the air has been circulating. Is sealing the wheels up going to affect their ability to cool?
I was thinking that too. There are waterproof wire meshes (like for screen doors and speakers) that you could use to make air ventilation to the outside?
If you’re handy and a hobbyist GotWays are a great design, actually. I get it that people just want a product that’s more “refined and complete”. Idk I rather have something that can be maintained and worked on easier, plus have more performance than have something that’s less accessible, less serviceable and slow. :D
I have noticed that the three cable insulator which comes from the motor seems to be eating aways 11:17, what is causing that, it seems to be a very high potential and dangerous situation
Curious to see how high the temp gets in hot weather with this hermetic sealing. Perhaps Begode left some openings by design? I mean that have to know.
Thanks for the tearing down apart! It is heavily raining right now and i need to go back home from my office. So my properly siliconed Monster Pro should survive, wish me luck )
@@mr_wrongway Well it went quite nice, i used my hair dryer a bit after the road to get rid of some water. But also i decided to avoid some seas on the road ))) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1A80LOODky4.html
😲😱 I Think someone should pay you $3000 just for doing all that work! I've been there! I been watching you a bit and NOW I really see how making videos on RU-vid JUST BECAME YOUR LIFE NOW! I'm happy to see you using your talents to show people all about EUC'S 👊😎
I think calling the control boards 'motherboards' is mistake carried over from working with computers. Heck, even in computers it is a questionable term since the boards have been completely self contained for at least a decade now. As for the screws into plastic, it has long been common to use self tapping screws, this is generally not a problem as long as the size is correct and the technician knows to find the tap point when reinserting the screw.
Please do a begode/gotway Battery-Teardown. I would love to see the BMS! I also think about imlementing a Smart-BMS for sinlge-cell voltage-control but its a lot of work.
What do you want to see on the BMS? They are totally fine and have all known protection. A single cell measurement doesnt make a battery safer....its nice...nit doesnt prevent fires and battry venting
That plastic covering on the heatsink doesn't seem to be doing anything other than restricting airflow and decreasing heat transfer. If it's for protection from damage that's kind of unnecessary with aluminum fins that thick
Id be okay with how terribly constructed the wheel is if it didnt have problems with overheating. Its so annoying that they didn't address this properly
If it was a sub $1000 wheel I could accept such poor quality but for the money its no where near good enough, screws grabbing on plastic for something that flys down the road with you on it at 80kmph? They are either lazy, incompetent or desperate for money, none acceptable reasons.
Love this type of vids. I know your'e a fan of begode wheels. But every breakdown/teardown just convince me more and more to not buy a begode. I don't want to have the need to make it waterproof. It should be waterproof from the faxtory. That's why I bought the inmotion V11 with it's ipp-55 rating. Needs to be waterproof for me. As it's my main mode of transport
What a shame. So many years in the business, yet they still lack in quality. They cost so much, why do the continue to tarnish their own name. Thanks for the breakdown. I'll hold on to my MSP for now.
hello. My friend will give me such an ectrosamokat, I will ride it for work. Because in Ukraine the salary is so small that I will not be able to buy a scooter
